    The Sam Hughes area is NOT a suburb! It's right smack dab in the middle of the city. Nice homes for sure, but there are a lot of them rented to University students year round. So, if you want to hear loud parties, cars racing up and down the streets, and difficulties parking, this is ok for you.

    The most irritating thing about the Tucson area is if you want a few acres and a house without an HOA even 500k isn't going to get that for you here. I know, because I've been looking at everything around here. I never though that I'd see a doublewide (why do that call them a "mobile house" here) for over 400k, but I see that here.

      @carolzilko2643 3 месяца назад

      @@peterjordan2738 I know this year it got as hot as 109 in Oracle in June. Mostly triple digits in June. But there is nowhere in or around Tucson where you can escape the heat. And this year has been hotter, I think. The only way to escape the heat here is on Mt.Lemmon. But you’d have to have $$$$ to get property up there, IF there is any for sale. But it’s beautiful. Oracle has a very pretty view of the backside of the Catalina’s. I think if you want to escape excessive heat, the Sierra Vista area is nice, or go further north into the areas of Showlow and Pinetop (also nice, we go there to escape sometimes) or even further north. Around Tucson, Oracle, Oro Valley, Marana, Sahuarita, Green Valley, Vail, etc are their own towns..not , technically, part of Tucson.

      The further you get away from the asphalt jungle, the slightly cooler it is. But only slightly. It is, after all, Arizona. And I think mostly people come for the fabulous (and all too short, for me) winter months. Many people have two homes, and only come for those months, and then when summer hits, go back to where they came from.

      Carol, my wife and I lived in Scottsdale from 2000-2010. Loved it and the temps were no where near than they are now. Our days of having 2 homes are over with. Moved back to CA for family reasons...but now parents passed so we have time to consider options. Say what one would say about CA, the weather just can't be beaten. We live in SAC area, close to Tahoe, wine country in Amador County, less than 2 hours to SF one of our former locations...from 1975-1997.

    Rita ranch has gone downhill though. I wouldn’t like to live there. That being said, Vail is more of a family town than Oro Valley would be. Oro Valley is more of an older community. • @RTTGunsGear
    @RTTGunsGear 5 месяцев назад +1

    Best places to live in Tucson? Anything gated with some sort of security measures. Basically everywhere else, there's a drug riddled homeless encampment right around the corner from you. 2nd best place to to live in Tucson? Outside of Tucson. Like the middle of the desert. If you live anywhere near a Circle K gas station or a park, you need to move before your car gets broken into, you trip and fall on a pile of drug needles, or your dog goes missing. Seriously people! If you are not going to live in the Richie rich areas, Tucson is a ghetto sh*t hole everywhere and only getting worse the longer our mayor keeps caring more about spending money on "woke" special interest projects, than the actual population of the city.

  • @GayeMarieRoz-xd8hv

    I have lived in Rita Ranch since 2001. I would not recommend anyone live here! The neighborhood has changed a lot. There are homeless people hanging out in the parks, people don’t take care of their yards like they’re supposed to & the HOA doesn’t enforce the laws. There are several vacation rentals in the neighborhood, one is behind me. It’s basically a party house, which I don’t appreciate. If I have to stay here in Tucson, I might consider living at the 49ner golf course neighborhood. Bty- I believe the Vail School District excepts open enrollment students, so you don’t have to live in the district to attend the schools.
