What are you even talking about - traffic is negligible in Tucson since there are so many ways to get anywhere due to the block grid system. What place doesn't have wind at time? And winters are incredibly mild. Ok, things will get dusty I'll give you that one.
@@TheMachinePUA Perhaps traffic can be a nuisance in the city area, but here in the CatHills where I am at it isn't too bad, especially on the weekends. I have heard some complaints about winters here, but that is surprising to me. A lot of people I have talked to left New England or somewhere north to be here. One guy was straight up upset it got cold at all. All things considered I have no issue with a 40-50 degree day here. I will take that over 100.
Everything I mentioned is based off talking to locals or my experience over the summer. I’m officially at one year in Tucson and I realize things can be different each year.
Valley Fever. Just don't breathe the dusty air. I've known 2 people who had it. One pretty much shook it off and the other one had lung surgery. I'm one of those Tucsonans who says, 90 degrees? Bring it!
Stats say that you WILL get Valley Fever within 5 years of living here. It's not something you just avoid. The severity varies though. Most people who get regular valley fever just have a common cold that lasts longer than usual. I was one of the lucky ones that got what's called Disseminated Valley Fever. (I'm not sure if it changed but at the time it was fatal in 90% of cases) It almost killed me and I have lung problems still 25 years later.
Sprawl. New developments look the same shade of beige. Limited transit options. The Light Rail is one line. The bus system is sad. Riding a bike at night is dangerous with the condition of the roads and the Old Pueblo is a Dark Sky community. Poverty is the biggest issue. Wages are lower than the National average. So many are just getting by. A unique and dynamic place that does have issues like any other Metro.
All correct. I’m in the job market and damn it sucks. And even with my excellent skills and experience I’m still getting rejection email after rejection email. And some of these are basic positions. I do pizza delivery on the west side and besides the roads, at night it becomes sketchy. I’ve seen public defecation, massive police presence, people fighting, and because it’s dark and people don’t obey street signs it’s not uncommon for me to near miss hitting people. I’m transferring up to Oro Valley where none of this exists ✌🏻
@@travelswithtravis0117 Tucson sucks in that regard. I returned here after I retired from the military and the wage difference is really disgusting. I hold a graduate degree in Cybersecurity. I have two decades plus worth of experience in security operations, both digital and physical. When I retired I wanted to get away from the State and Federal game and go into something local in the private sector. The problem is, that my skill set rates in the $60-80 an hour range for the work involved. Local companies in Tucson want to pay a quarter of that for the same expertise and workload. Which is why I simply ended up working for Raytheon in the end. They're at least competitive with pay and benefits. Shame though. Wanted to do something smaller and less related to the MIC.
The economy is horrible like the wages. I grew up there and gave it a fair chance in the working world , but finally moved to California and haven't been back since.
You’re not wrong on that. Wages aren’t the best here and I don’t want to live in Phoenix where economic opportunity is better. Hopefully it improves here in the future.

I lived there for 3 years. The bad things are traffic. The wind. The dust. And cold winters
Traffic can suck but PHX is worse! Haven’t experienced a dust storm yet tho.
Yeah it’s hot but no humidity and very few bugs
That is a plus. Only bugs I’ve been dealing with is the fruit flies in my apartment 😑
Living in the phx area for 20 years, I moved to Elgin wine country two years ago and haven’t looked back 😊
that sounds nice. Will have to check it out some time 😎
You know bro lay low when it's hott out in tucson can't get much done
Yep bigtime valley fever guy here
But it’s a dry heat!
😂☠️
So our flames
💙💙💙
Theres lots of madness going on in the Eastside Pantano n golflinks
😮 Hotter than Southeast Georgia- for sure!
You're talking about LAST year, every year is different. The basic rule is 3 months of hot for 9 months of not hot.
Everything I mentioned is based off talking to locals or my experience over the summer. I’m officially at one year in Tucson and I realize things can be different each year.
The city politics is beyond horrible!
💯
Valley Fever. Just don't breathe the dusty air. I've known 2 people who had it. One pretty much shook it off and the other one had lung surgery. I'm one of those Tucsonans who says, 90 degrees? Bring it!
Thanks for watching! I’ll take 90 and dry any day over 80 and thick and humid 😎🌵
@@ZebraEnt So sorry about your lung problems!
It’s a dry heat.
Lol
Had a cousin that lived near there and left because of the heat lol
It sure is hot 🌵
The economy is horrible like the wages. I grew up there and gave it a fair chance in the working world , but finally moved to California and haven't been back since.
You’re not wrong on that. Wages aren’t the best here and I don’t want to live in Phoenix where economic opportunity is better. Hopefully it improves here in the future.
@swithtravis0117 I Know I lived there for 27 years and left in 89 after working on the sky box suites for Az football stadium. Phoenix wasn't much better.
I can’t keep the homeless people off my property. I catch them on my security cameras all the time.
Doesn’t sound fun :/
Tucson def has some issues to work through.
Yess super long red lights
Yes, nobody should move here 😊
lol unfortunately they will bc it’s cheap compared to most other places.
Tucson is a toilet
Depends on what part of the city you’re in. I stay in the Cathills/Oro Valley
Number four is true. Mainly because of NIMBYs.1- Tucson temps, you suffer or leave for five months, and enjoy the great weather the other seven. 2- yes. 3 critters 🐈🐈🐈🐈 fear of tarantula? 4 is true. Mainly because of NIMBYs. 5- I would like to see you do some more research, before you make such a bold statement.
I'm going to guess that you are a Sagittarius.

If you dont like it now, keep voting Democrat and see what happens.
I like the southern Arizona area. This was just some cons to consider when moving to the area.
I don’t discuss politics on my channel. But yes the culture of Arizona is changing and unfortunately not for the better. But I’m going to enjoy what the state has to offer in spite of it.
Yep you have to make friends with the thieves so they wnt steal from you crazy town lots of homeless l8ving in my alley
That snowbird thing sounds kinda cool..........:)
Crime is in any place. I live in Tucson. It's safe. Just be street wise. 😊
That is true. Went all over downtown today filming a new video and didnt feel unsafe once.
bro what???? theres like weekly shootings, robbings, attempted kidnapping and graping. Tucson compared to other parts of the state/country is insanely dangerous. Also mexico
Oh crap! There’s only FIVE!? Maybe I’ll stay… 🤔
😂 didn’t want to make the video an hour long. Def could’ve complained more lol
@@travelswithtravis0117 Born in Mesa, raised in Tucson. Family is the ONLY thing keeping me here!
We don’t even have soil. We’re stuck with plain ‘ol dirt! 🤣
@@georgevanaken925 fair enough. i lived in dallas for my whole life and got tired of it so this is novel to me here. More outdoorsy things I prefer. We'll see how long my wife can take the heat before we're moving again though lol
Seems most people who live in one place forever get to a point where they are over it and want something new!
@@travelswithtravis0117 I agree. Arizonan born and bred, but I lived in Pennsylvania for a bit and fell in love with the forest. 👍
Tucson sucks.
Cool story
i remember my class at university high school was 25% jewish
