Hey Ryan I´m a german powerlifter (-105kg [230 lbs] weight class) and also specialized in the bench press and I´ve watched like all of your lifts so I was wondering a few things: - why have you never tried to beat the RAW world record? At one point it seemed that you had the strength to bench like 700+ RAW with ease. There´s some videos showing you press 605 with 200lbs resistance bands off a 4 board RAW which is freaking crazy. Or what about the 725 lbs 3board RAW warm up you did back in 2008? Not to mention your 680 lbs RAW bench which looked like an empty bar. - are you gonna upload a RAW max attempt any time soon? Your paused 605 lbs looked easy as ever. You definetely still have the chance to become a 700+ lbs RAW bencher. - why are you no longer using your previous technique? You appear to use your entire leg strength from the very beginning these days whereas your older lifts look like you waited for the bar to touch before using your legs to blast the weight back up. - is a strong deadlift/squat necessary to get the most leg drive? - are you still specifically working your forearms in order to get the most out of your triceps? If so - how many times per week and how?
Raw record has been in back of my mind and still can be done, I try to use every technique that I have to do this bench press thing, and I use what works and toss what doesnt. Deadlift does nothing for my bench , but squats for surely do. and forearms are trained twice per week also, and triceps 3-4 times per week. thank you for your support
