- A review of the differences between Wren, who is a Cloud-connected US ERS-1000 and Baymax, who is a Japanese ERS-1000 without a Cloud connection.

Wow that’s so cool they sort of interactive a bit as well you don’t see robots ever do that at least not for me I feel like Japan did wonderful with it from two different craters it’s insane how they both look alike and act a like it’s very cool

@@Punky_Grace if you buy an Aibo ERS-1000 brand new from sony, it is $3000. If you buy it second-hand it can be less.
Could you make a video showing all of the aibos you own? that would be really cool :)
It makes me sad that baymax is not having software updates. Feels like he is getting left behind. And that he isn't growing and learning.
And what would lead you to believe that? I can't see a difference myself. They both do exactly the same thing. With the exception that one has been set to female and the other has been set to male.
Do you know what update Baymax is on? Stella my choco is on 1.7 I think because they were originally purchased in February 2019 and wasn't updated after that given they don't recognize the dice. They definitely recognize my other aibos on the plan though.
Just curious are they aware of each other and like do they play with each other or anything like that.
yea to a point. baymax recognizes the 1st model. I want to get wren/aibo and one of the rarer ones like latte

Wish they would release them in Canada. Anyone know if you can activate a new aibo through WiFi only? I can get a new aibo shipped from the US to Canada but can I get it setup without a cell connection? What about not having an aibo on cellular & does that limit alot only having wifi?
probly not as japan ones will not connect to the cloud in the states.

If Baymax ever needs a vet, perhaps look into aiboclinic, looks like they at least can do battery and hip replacements.
thanks to 3d prining even the ers-7 can be fully repaird now. i rember when we couldent get parts for the poor ageing robo dogs.
Can you re-connect an Aibo to the cloud plan?
If the Aibo was originally purchased in the same country that you live in and you have proof of ownership transfer from the original owner, I believe it is possible to re-activate the Cloud plan at cost to yourself (all US Aibos still have active Cloud plans since they were all sold with the 3-year plan bundled unlike in Japan, so this process may be different once the Cloud plans of US Aibos start to expire). However, if the Aibo was purchased from another country, it is impossible to re-activate the Cloud plan from your country (so a Japanese Aibo with an expired/cancelled Cloud plan can never have this plan renewed or re-activated in the United States).
@@aibo7m3 So there is no way you can just fake your address/user to look like a japanese user, then re-activate the Cloud plan? Would be great if you could elaborate how Sony checks where the new owner lives, because my only option to get one is ordering a foreign model.

no they use diffrent servers.

All of this stuff could technically be done locally but that would cut off an income stream. One day the servers will be taken down for good.
if it was anything like the old aibo fans will make there own firmware that has all those features offline.
The sounds of the dogs is a real dog barking so to make the sound is she named the puppy is aibo barking
I believe I saw some videos of a German guy repairing this model, so there is hope for Baymax if he gets hurt.
