If shenron was a z fighter than the shadow dragon arc would be super interesting if it happens due to him being more involved along with if the ending of gt still applies
i imagine it would be him going through a villain arc or something akin to brother vs brother type stuff

Just realized something...
With shenron being part of the group and being all knowing...
He could end up telling the group about the Saiyans coming before raditz says anything, as well as the super saiyan god too.
This could result in Raditz, Nappa, AND vegeta turning good in one story at ONCE.
I've always loved the idea of immortal creatures being powered down and eventually gaining a new perspective on the world around them, and I absolutely adore the annoyance and lack of understanding of how the mortal body works because of such a transformation.
I'm curious if Shenron will become more protective of people in general, preventing unnecessary deaths when he can to avoid resurrection wishes. I'm also wondering about the Namek arc and if he'll have any interesting interactions with the namekians and their dragon. That thought also extends to Super and possibly GT, with Super Shenron and the shadow dragons respectively.
All in all, this sounds like a fun What If to explore and I look forwards to the next episodes.
With a GT option I do not see the Shadow Dragons forming. With Shenron being able to workout frustrations and negative emotions through training, meditation, and Ki blasts, enough negative energy should not be able to form, IMO.
Shenron being an actual character and not just a plot device or butt of a joke? Can't wait to watch this unfold!

@@itsoneshotko8151 he does have a lot of knowledge already. And in this scenario he has connection to Kami, probably a bigger one than Piccolo himself. (except for the life link, but Shenron is linked to Kami as well..)
I actually was somewhat thinking about an idea with Shenron in it. However I'm thinking more like a Slice of Life Scenario or something where someone (most likely Goku) wishes for Shenron to spend 1 day as a human, gets to truly relax, and maybe have a sparing match with him. Something like that.
Interesting to see him be a Z Fighter in this Timeline. Good to have the Earth Dragon to have more of an active role here.
I imagine Shenron could use his Wish powers in a fight similar to how wizards could use the Wish spell in Dnd. In fact I could even see him be able to use the abilities of all the Shadow Dragons from Gt and being able to transform and fight in his Dragon form similar to how the Black Star Dragon Ball Shenron could fight during his boss battle in the Hero Mode in Ultimate Tenkaichi
While I would love if that were the case in this scenario (atleast in my way of thinking) I think that mortal Shenron wouldn't have the abilities of his Real form but we would have to see where Masako takes this. Very excited to see the rest!
Maybe something like Fairy tail’s Dragon Force form but much more explored and unique to Shenron as his power evolves. Maybe when we get to GT Shenron will absorb the positive energy from the Dragon balls to become Alpha Shenron so we’ll get an Alpha Shenron Vs Omega Shenron fight. Battle of Positive & Negative energies of the Dragon Balls
I’d love to see more What Ifs that play around with reincarnation of certain characters. There’s SO much potential there.

I'm surprised that we don't get more of Shenron in a central role, he is basically the title character. The only time that he ever did was the final arc of GT.
my idea of Shenron becoming a "z fighter" would always have him being an anthro eastern dragon. Like a more slender porunga with legs lol.
But yeah, it is curious what Shenron would do if he actually could actively fight. Pretty cool start Masako.
I was thinking more of a more heroic version of Syn/Omega Shenron.
If the Shadow Dragons existed, then Shenron or Porunga could be pretty cool as fighters especially if they use their powers to obtain a more humanoid and practical form.

Shenron seems like he could be an incredibly powerful character. As he grows in power so to would his dragon counterpart, if he were to replace Kami at some point he'd be one hell of a guardian.
What an another amazing what if from MasakoX! Shenron getting a human form to defend the Dragon Balls as the guardian is brilliant. I'm looking forward to see more of Shenron's growth.
I would imagine that when someone summons the eternal dragon by gathering all 7 dragon balls our Mortal shenron would judge them and/or battle them to see if they are worthy of using his powers!

Oh man. Seeing Shenron kick Piccolo Jr's teeth in is going to feel GOOD. Can't wait for the new revelation that now Piccolo Jr AND this guy were essential to the Dragon Balls continuing to function.
Wonder if this would spark Porunga getting interested in the idea too. He would probably be big and strong enough to wear Shenron like a scarf, too. The ultimate Namekian Guardian. Could be cool.

…It may just be because of my recent imaging of my OC asking Shenron for, of all things, _magic lessons,_ but… I imagine Shenron as a very magic-based fighter.

What if Gero/Gevo/Vomi were the family that founded capsule corp, and the Briefs joined the red ribbon army instead?
Really think about how those early Dragon Ball interactions would go if Gevo were there instead of Bulma.

I like this idea. Nice touch, splitting Fighter Shenron away from Maguffin Shenron, but that raises so many questions: are the two linked, like Kami and Piccolo? Are they still connected to Kami the same way? Could training (or Guru, perhaps) manifest some of their wish-granting powers (though certainly in a diminished form)? would that power over time eventually corrupt him? Could he learn/use the Namekian Fusion technique? and fuse with Kami/Piccolo? or perhaps his own other self?
The mind boggles with possibility.
It's been a genuine joy seeing you improve so much as a writer and narrator. I still remember when your What If?s used to be simple scenarios focusing on characters fighting or achieving transformations that they originally didn't in canon, but now, you get to tell stories where we get to experience this fantastic world of Dragon Ball through the eyes of different characters, witnessing their thoughts and feelings about things and events that we are so used to know by memory, that we forget how impactful they were when we first saw them all those years ago.
This gave me all sorts of chills - the good kind. I can't wait to see how this pans out! I will admit, though... when describing Shenron's humanoid form, I was reminded quite a bit of the humanoid form of Hyorinmaru during the Zanpakutou Rebellion arc of the Bleach anime (the arc is non-existent in the manga). Definitely looking forward to seeing the form fully revealed to us!
...I want to be mad that someone beat me to the punch on suggesting 'What if Shenron got Aladdin's third wish'd?' But that's overridden by how happy I am to see this idea.
Sure, not the same path to it, but the end result is still fairly similar, with Shenron getting a human proxy-body with which to see the world with, basically. So, thank you for that! Both to you and whomever suggested it!
Also I kind of giggle at the idea of King Piccolo *also* having a clothes beam; when you think about it, it could well be that all the clothes his children wore, save for Junior, were made by daddy. :V

There are so many arcs that will be interesting to hear. How will frieza react the shenron being a humanoid? Could there be something similar with the namekian dragon and or super dragon (I could see them being the opposite of the shadow dragons)? Would shenron possibly find a girlfriend? And would the grand priest have an issue with this change?
this actually runs along the idea i had for a what if. what if someone asked shenron for his protection and the GT shadow dragons were summoned as good guy guardians. I'm interested to see how this turns out. also, no idea what he'll end up looking like, but for now, i'm picturing Guan Yu with green hair..

My only critique... because of beastfolk being a thing in Dragon Ball thanks to Animorphaline, as well as other various Earthling species being a thing, I think it would have been safe to make Shenron more dragon-like in appearance while still having a humanoid body. Having his antler-horns as a human would actually stand out more than him just being an animal-type earthling based on his original dragon form, which would definitely be impressive in appearance but wouldn't really be an identifiable trait to anyone who hadn't already seen him before.
I'm quite interested in what this Shenron will do when Beerus shows up.
Probably wet his pants before hiding, sweat quadrupling when Whis points him out to Beerus.

Me: But they all sound like fanfiction... you are basically telling a story from an alternate timeline. Which in turn, is what a fanfiction is.

I have a very specific range that I enjoy "what if" stories. Normally this one would be well outside the "range" I like, where small things lead to big changes.
But something about the way you're telling it, something about this has got me hooked.

If you've ever played any of the games with gt content then you've gotten the chance to play as omega shenron. The shadow dragons are essentially what you're describing in this video and I would love it if Omega was a good guy, because he was kind of my favorite gt character...which is a low bar, but still if Shenron were to ever take on a humanoid form and fight with the Z fighters Omega is the form i would rather see him in...preferably with the same english VA.

What if Vegeta Trained Gohan after the Cell Games? It could be such a minor change, OR it could change the dynamic of the Son Family. Vegeta would also have a reason to keep fighting. ANNNND, Trunks and Goten would be changed from this too. They could become more like brothers than rivals. The Buu saga would probably end before Kid Buu

This what if might just be the biggest potential death flag for Piccolo and Vegeta.
Assuming this starts from early db, those two are screwed.
Vegeta possibly, but definitely not Piccolo… possibly. Kami and Piccolo still have that life line together. We’ll see if Masako keeps their ties to Shenron and the Dragonballs stays in tact.
Oh also, I feel like Shenron would not be fast friends with Bulma purely because she built the Dragon Radar which lead to him being summoned a lot. (especially if she tried doing what she’s been doing in the Super movies)

Huh, so this idea takes place after Goku after deals with King Piccolo cool. It's also during OG Dragon Ball time, so this idea could fit right in. 👍 I can't till when villains want the Dragon Balls, the Z-Fighters can just point Shenron and say, "Ask him," & Shenron says "no". 😆 I wonder if this will lead to other dragons getting their own humanoid form later. 🤔 Anyways another really good start to this new series, and looking forward to the next part soon.
I’d like to address something regarding this channel’s favorite Saiyan. I hope this Shenron can either talk or beat some sense into him so as to gain an asset for the Dragon Team instead of being offed so easily as in canon. Not saying to turn him good out right but at least give the radish an arc to grow.
