    Hey everyone, first of all massive thanks for watching the video.
    Just a little update on the tent having now used it a few times. The tent has been on mountains in Glencoe Scotland, in rain and reasonably high winds. See video here ruclips.net/video/HEM7mJ1Ynlc/видео.html
    We're pleased to say the tent has performed really well. There are other little things I find I like about the tent so I may well do an updated video at some point soon. Thanks again for watching.

      Thank you for your kind words. We camped in the tent last night in gusty winds on a Scottish mountain and the tent faired up well. The only thing i would say is it was quite noisy, but then again, i probably should have guyed out a bit more. All in all we're still happy with the tent.

    Loved the video, I got a 70 euros 3 person black and fresh decatlhon tent to go camping with my wife and I really notice all the expensive tents (150-200 euros +) got lots of pockets while the cheaper ones dont (at least I didnt found any)
    I loved the detail on de vestibule having fabric so we dont have to put bag directly on the soil/ground and it sure seems like it protects better against rain.
    One little detail about video the music is super loud then your voice super low sound in comparisson I had to keep lowering volume a lot when music blast and then volume up when you started talking. Loved the drone showing tent from above

    Thank you for this video. Good honest review. It’s definitely got me intrigued..at least! Great editing as a new channel. I agree with the other commenter about balancing out the sound a bit. I tend to watch all my vids (like a hawk) as unlisted videos first on YT. I might then re-edit/tweak. Good job and thanks again. 👍

      Thank you Ben. Yeh, out of all editing I find the audio the most difficult. I have started doing exactly what you said about watching like a hawk on YT before going live.....Yet I still struggle with audio. As I type im uploading a scheduled video for the third time lmfao 🤣 Cheers

    I'm Decathlons biggest fan and I so wanted to get this tent for my motor bike travels, it's just the pack size that bothers me, a bit big for me. That tho I'm sure will be an awesome tent, love the idea of that extra bit of ground sheet for your gear to sit on. I have the footprint for my Vango helium 2 but I seldom use it because its something else to pack, like what Decathlon have done here tho.

    • @mad-about-scotland
      @mad-about-scotland  Год назад +1

      Yeh, I had to weigh up all options before buying. The pack size isn't too bad, but I will have to attach it to my bag rather than putting it inside. The floored porch areas are brilliant.

      @cleankiller9 5 месяцев назад

      The best way to pack your gear in your backpack is to not use the bags your tent,sleeping bag,mat ,pillow etc come with instead lose the bags and stuff everything in one big plastic bag at the bottom of your backpack makes more room and is lighter

      Hello mate. yup we have had the tent in rain and its been absolutely fine. Withe regards to wind, we have only had it in prob around 20mph winds and again the tent was fine. I really rate this tent. Maybe a bit tight for 2, but the 2 doors and 2 vestibule areas are a big plus also. For the money I would say this is a brilliant tent. I hope you enjoy your backpacking in Scotland. ATB, Donny

    How it works with Scottish winds ?

    • @mad-about-scotland
      @mad-about-scotland  11 месяцев назад

      Only had it out in about 20mph winds but it was no problem for the tent. It was a little noisy/flappy but that was most likely down to me not pitching it correctly.

    The tent material on the decathlon is superior as it does not "wet" and stretch.

      No its not. I made this review as I think the tent is really good and there are not many reviews on it in the UK.
