The skill level of this man!! The modesty of this man! Unmatched... unmatching... but yes.. that machine is humbling... even for the prodigies among us!
Wonderful demonstration and masterful improvisations. Behind Mr. Bloors friendly and slightly puckish demeanor one senses the presence of an underlying chessmaster intellect. Beautiful acoustic (and capture/balance of same). Hat's off to tonal design, execution, and regulation so that everything fits and always builds. Mixtures most firmly in the Goldilocks zone. I so appreciate the signature BIS registration overlay, and realize the tremendous amount of work that must happen in post production editing to pull it off. Wouldn't it be grand to have the same thing live on VC and other productions from BIS headquarters, especially on Romsey sample set? Fun bits 3:36 sequencer plus button..because the person that put it in can't drive (ba dum - TSS), and watch the paper on the music desk a bit after 4:32
Richard and Ben, thank you for giving us this in depth demo. Yes, sitting in the Chapel opposite the organ loft is the best place to hear the Organ recitals.
Thank you Ben for your fabulous demonstration of this amazing instrument. And thank you Richard for your impeccable recording, production, and presentation. Bravo!!!
What a great description. Refreshing to hear some sophisticated analysis too, not the usual RUclips guff “This is a draw stop. This is a diapason sound.” etc.
What a lovely organ in an amazing acoustic. Thank you for sharing this demonstration! I liked how Ben showed us the personality of the Principals and Flutes in each division, but also showed how they worked together. That was great in addition to the other various ensembles and solos he demonstrated.
👏👏 Thank you both for this! What a fantastic demonstration in every way - you have set the bar. BB’s intimate understanding & musicianship are staggering. Made my day 😊

I was checking the description for a repertoire list. Then I saw the comment, ‘Aren’t Ben’s improvisations wonderful’… Indeed!

What a fantastic presentation! This organ is a really fabulous instrument but the greatest part was done by the organist!
Wonderful demonstration and spectacular improvisation! Beautifully rich harmonic progressions! Bravo!
