- If you love cheesy technical videos this video will disappoint you for sure.
You will need the following.
7qts of 0W-40wt oil full synthetic.
MO-899 oil filter or proper alternative.
13mm 6pt socket and ratchet with 6 inch extension for Drain Plug.
Oil Filter wrench if required.
Suitable drain pan or oil containment vessel.
2 adult beverages.
Thank you for taking the time to make this
You are very welcome. I actually had to review this video a quick minutes to refresh my memories as I just had to change it again last week lol.
Good idea to shake the penzoil bottle before dumping it in as there is some separation. I use mostly Wix XP or K&N filters. I go almost a half turn after contact (hand tight) Usually I let it drain overnight and get about a pint of extra old oil out after it starts to drip. No ramps. I just drive up on some sideways 2X4's. It takes me at least a 6 pack to finish the job.
Thanks for checking it out shaking the oil bottles is not a bad idea. We used to do that on our turbine engine oil for our helicopters at work for the same reason.
Thank you I just learn it everything perfect what you show thank brother
Glad to help Mike!
WE WANT DEXTER!!!!, WE WANT DEXTER!!!,
Looks like you need a new oil funnel, We'll have to work on that in May LOL
Sooon I promise lol.
thing sounds good and damn its clean under hood.
Thanks cole! yes it is.
Is the oil pan aluminum like an Ls2? Should you drain cold?
I honestly can't remember lol. I know, kinda pathetic but the pan is basically completely covered by an underbelly with a small hole in it.
Regarding the low oil pressure warning, will that go away after you first start it? One time thing or is it on everytime you start the car?
No it definitely goes away after the first start from oil change. No problems at all.
1:45 Right on Mr. Black,
I swear everyone says that is the best $3.97 filter with silicon drain back valve ever made. lol
Does Issac's Crown Vic use that one too, or the FL-910?
-Chuck
Funny we bought the 820 way back when we first got the crown vic by mistake and it's been sitting on the shelf since. I was blown away when I found out it was the same as an MO899. Isaacs car is the normal 910.
What brand catch can is that sir
It is made by JLT and it works very well. Maybe even too well lol. I feel like I have to empty it every 1500 miles or so.
