    Great video! I've had the Jabra Pro 20's from Costco for about a month. I've been to Costco several times and it definitely is a hassle and if they don't solve the problem I have to go back and it's about 1 hour away. I'm at the point where I'm tired of driving back and forth without getting much results, the remote option is not available at least at this one. They also don't connect to the app consistently and the bluetooth is not consistent. I tend to be in really noisy environments louder than a coffee shop. I was out New Years Eve in a restaurant and I could just about hear the woman who was sitting right net to me. I was told by Costco that the Jabra would be best for noisy environments but I'm not seeing it. I'M GOING TO RETURN THESE AND WAS WONDERING IF YOU FEEL EITHER OF THE OTHER 2 BRANDS AVAILABLE AT COSTCO WOULD BE BETTER.

    The GN TV Streamer Plus works great with the Jabra Enhance Pro 20. I got bad information from most of the people I asked about this. I bought the TV Streamer from a private audiologist who said it would. It works great. I love it. The combination of hearing though the bluetooth and from the speakers makes the sensation that I can legitimately hear the tv again. Costco needs GN to make one for you guys.

    I am sure I will be spending a lot of time with your videos next week. I am getting fitted with Jabra Pro 20s from Costco on Monday. I was in an accident that damaged my hearing in October. I was extensively tested by a univeristy audiology department. They said the Jabra Pro 20s from Costco would be a good way to go. If I wanted to work with the university that was fine they would charge me hourly, but they did not think I would need them.

    Thanks for the answer video, I learned a lot. My audiologist said Jabra is likely to come out with a new model circa June 2024. Don’t know what the upgrade will be but if you hear any rumors please let us know. I’m currently wearing Kirkland V10 and the seem to not have the sound quality issues discussed in this video, but alas, they don’t age well in the hot humid air of Taiwan and they aren’t made anymore.

    Great videos. Quick bluetooth streaming question. I tried a pair of KS-10 and a pair of Sony OTC hearing aids and had issues streaming from my iPhone XR. If I held my iPhone at shirt pocket level all was fine. When I put it in my back pocket the streaming sound constantly cut out and was unbearable. I like my phone in my back pocket when I walk. I was just fitted with Jabra Enhanced Pro hearing aid. It works well for most normal applications. Streaming works but there are two problems. Bass is very restricted. The balance is off. I have to put the iPhone’s balance slider far to the right. Can either or both of these issues be addressed at Costco.

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  2 месяца назад +1

      You can increase the bass in the app using the equalizer. And you can also increase the volume individually in the app. Both things can be made permanent by your fitter. I wouldn’t add more bass permanently though because that will mess with your hearing, I would just use the app

    I connected my hearing aids first to my iPhone then to my iPad and ended up deleting the iPad connection because there are many reasons why I want my devices communicating with each other through blue tooth and if I leave blue tooth on on my iPad I have many problems controlling my hearing aids with my iPhone. Like having to pair them every time I turn them on or they get out of range. Sometimes I had to try multiple times to get them to pair.

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  Год назад

      You shouldn't have to Un pair and re pair the hearing aids when changing devices. You should be able to keep them both paired but would need to turn off the Bluetooth on the device you are not using to free up the connection to the other device. Some hearing aids can stay paired and connected to multiple devices simultaneously, but at the moment, these you cannot.

    I am on my second set of Jabra Enhance Pro 20s. The first set worked great fo the first two weeks before they stopped picking up sounds and only thing comming out of speakers was a low level white noise. Increasing the volume only made the hissing louder. Replacing domes and wax filters had no effect. Costco ordered replacements and they were great again. I am now about three weeks along with this set and they have deteriorated just like the first set. I am back to Costco next week Monday and i am thinking that it is time to get another brand. I should mention that the HIS tried to reprogram and retested with REM and nothing and nothing she did indicated any life and therefore the replacement. They have not been wet, i clean them every night. I am wondering if any one else has had similar problem, and if you have changed brand what is your experience. Since i want LE audio bluetooth it seems that Rexton Reach is the only currently available choice since the latest Philips model is not available. Second question is how the replacement process works. Do i simply purchase the replacement and then turn in my original Jabra's for refund or is it a one time swap transaction?

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  2 месяца назад

      i know what the problem is... the microphone screen. They had issues with this and they said its fixed now. Get them replaced again or just go with a different brand. I took one of these problematic hearing aids apart and removed the microphone screen and BAM! back to normal. I was thinking about making a video about this.

    I have the Resound Cala purchased in December 2016 at Costco. I’m considering purchasing the Jabra Enhance Pro 10 at Costco. Can I expect a big improvement difference? How many chips have been updated since then? Is the Bluetooth lag time improved such as connection to phone calls? Most of my hearing loss is due to tinnitus and the feature I need the most is hearing in noisy environments like restaurants.

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  Год назад +1

      I think you should totally give the jabras a try. You can demo them before you purchase and make sure to walk around the areas of the warehouse with the most noise. There have been several updates to the chip. I don't have an exact number for you. But yes, they should do really well with noise filtering, especially if you use a more occluding dome. Dont sleep on the philips either, give them a shot too. I'm not sure about Bluetooth lag, I don't even know what that means exactly but I don't have any issues with my Bluetooth. Sometimes they will disconnect but it's a phone, it's going to happen. They all do.

    Thank you for all your videos but I stll am confused. What is it that is different about Bluetooth connectivity on the Jabra that supposedly makes it different between the iPhone and Android? In the video you went into great detail about how great the Jabra is with IPHONE, but then only told us you use "the app" (instead of Bluetooth) to connect to ANDROID's Bluetooth - I think that's all you said about difference. (Unless my old hearing aids I'm now wearing missed the rest. LOL!) I have a Pixel 4a which is listed as "compatible" but should I STILL expect problems if I buy the Jabra, or will it be just as good on my Pixel 4a as with an iPhone? I have absolutely no intention of switching to iPhone, so this is an important question for me in deciding which of the 3 Costco 2023 hearing aids to buy to replace my older hearing aids.

    • @HearingClub

      Bluetooth connectivity is different between iPhone & Android devices regardless of what hearing aids you have. Android you connect hearing aid devices through Bluetooth in settings. In iPhone, you connect through accessibility then hearing devices in the settings of iPhone. Android has a list of certain devices that’s compatible. If yours is on the list then you will be fine. Sorry about the previous answer. I didn't expect so many comments so i had one of my fellow hearing aid fitters helping me. I would not suggest ever using headphones with hearing aids. The headphones can amplify what a hearing aid can and for music, the headphones would sound so much better. I definitely would NOT use both. I would also expect feedback to occur since you are surrounding the ears and the hearing aids are not calibrated for those acoustics. I would just take the hearing aids out. Hope that helps!

      I'm not sure what would work. With prescription hearing aids, everything is proprietary so they make you use their hardware. If you find something that actually works, please let me know. I havent found anything

    Suddenly, iphone sound disappeared almost entirely from my iphone12. Apple said the right hearing aid seemed it was not connected (that is the only hearing aid I am using). We have un-paired, restarted, etc, to no avail.

      1. go to accessibility, hearing devices, tap on your hearing aids and then tap, forget devices
      2. power the hearing aids off, then on
      3. the iphone will search for both hearing aids
      4. select both, make sure R+L appear
      5. bam!

      For stand alone unfortunately that won’t happen. It all requires power of some sort.

    • @dougsmith3664
      @dougsmith3664 Год назад

      @HearingClub I think we have a misunderstanding. We realize that power is required. The transmitters are powered by rechargeable batteries just like the hearing aids. It does appear that the Jabra hearing aids are very limited to what they will connect to, so the only solution is to switch to another brand that does offer a more open Bluetooth connection.

    • @HearingClub

      If you want more open Bluetooth connection, then it would be Phonak. But Costco doesn’t sell Phonak anymore.

    My Pro 20’s had a major problem with the mic on my iPhone 15. People including the Costco fitter and a senior Apple advisor could only barely hear me speak and I have a load voice. Neither Apple or Costco could figure why.
    When I returned to the six year old Resound the mic worked fine.
    I gave up on the Pro 20. Sadly. I found Bluetooth to be problematic and other problems. I returned them

      Yes it should work good, however I wouldn’t say android work as good as iPhone. As we mentioned in video hearing aids were made for iPhone and Apple has done really good job with compatibility with hearing aids. Android is just behind in the game but pixels and Samsung galaxies tend to be the best of android devices.

    Just got these! So impressed with the difference in background noise while walking around Costco. Can this connect directly with computer soft phones to make/take calls, MS Teams meetings, etc? Or is a headset required? What kind of UC headsets might work best (over the ear, on the ear, bone conduction? I’m new to HAs, so any help is a a appreciated. I’m worried about headset over the HAs and glasses being tight or claustrophobic if they’re tight, heavy or completely noise canceling. I work from home, so noise is not generally an issue.

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  Год назад +1

      The Jabra Hearing aids can’t connect to computers. However, depending on what phone you have, it can connect to your phone. Therefore, on your phone you can hear phone calls, music on phone, text alerts, all them stream into your hearing aids. Now for your computer you would need to use a headset. Far as space and wearing headsets or glasses, it will not affect them the hearing aids are small. The glasses frame just sit next to hearing aids between hearing aids and your head.

    Streaming and phone calls sound horrible on my Enhance Pros. Is this normal? Several people have noticed on phone calls and the sound quality receiving is just awful. If this is normal, I’m going to go with a different hearing aid. I replaced my Kirkland 10’s with the Jabra for the in ear mic. But the sound quality of a phone call and streaming is a deal breaker for me.

    • @HearingClub
      @HearingClub  Год назад +1

      You have to adjust the sound using the sound enhancer. And thats fair, the jabras aren't for everybody. Just because they sound good for me doesn't mean they will for you too ya know. We both have different hearing losses. And yes, the streaming quality isn't great, I have to adjust the mids and lows to get it to sound nice. But once I do, it sounds great! For me anyway. I have a video explaining how to make these adjustments so the streaming sounds good.
