Thanks for the video, very interesting tips! Just a little detail, handbrake locks the rear wheels only, which allows combined to plenty of steering lock to swing the back around the pivot of front wheels. If it locked all wheels the car would understeer and crash forward. You master the technique anyway, wish I were so constant with the hb along my stages ;)

I play on controller, so I don't know if you can help me, but I have a problem. Coming out of a corner, I of course turn the joystick the opposite way to straighten up the car, however, that means that the driver is turning the wheel to the full extent in a matter of milliseconds. That means it is turning way too much when I try to straighten up, and when I try to correct it I just do the same thing. Do you get what I'm saying?
Yeah I get what you're saying... Unfortunately I have no experience on the pad. What I could say is to search for the best pad setting and personally if I couldn't find anything I would constantly change the sensitivity and try again ans again

A little GTA5 (probably couple hours)
So buying the bundle of WRC 8/9/10 games on the switch store for 9.99$ was exciting.
Then I tried driving around solo and was awful lol. I figured I’d be but this will be fun to invest some time into and get it down 😎

I've been playing WRC9 for months and I noticed that the puddles are really infamous! (obviously I'm talking about those that are generated when there is rain or when it has stopped raining) Especially when you find the most demanding curves right first. I wanted to know if they are realistic and if there is a way to not get an entire ride ruined by a stupid invisible puddle. I also wanted to ask you if they are also present on Dirt Rally 2.0 as I am in the process of purchasing it
@@samueledifilippo3008 Yeah the puddles are terrible sometimes on WRC 9. If you're on Career Mode make sure you get the paddles perk and it will feel better. They are also on DiRT Rally 2.0 but they're actually fine.

what do you say to people saying that youre not getting an authentic experience when using a rotation degrees of anything under 900 degrees?
Clueless lol... In order to turn the wheel like real drivers you have to apply some specific degrees. You never see a WRC driver turning his wheel 900 degrees 😂
@@TMGaming Ahhh lol I've been so torn, like I dont want a non authentic experience, but 540 and 360 degrees just feels so good

as well as hairpins, which grade of turns (1 to 6) are you also using the handbrake?
I guess you mean gears with (1 to 6). I would say it depends on the tightness of the corner. If it's a tight and narrow corner and most like low speed you can use the handbrake. If it's a long and medium speed corner like one corner in Sweden (can't say which one) you can also use it not necessarily though.
@@TMGaming thanks for the response, one more question please, you say the sequence is brake/handbrake and control the throttle, when do you initiate the turn, before / after or during the press of the handbrake? thanks
@@zak2407 First you brake, then you turn in and immediately use the handbrake. Hopefully the wheelcam can help
@@TMGaming Thank you, I am now becoming an expert on paper :), I assume you should come of the footbrake fully before you turn in the steering and apply the handbrake ?
@@zak2407 Hahaha good luck. Yeah brake and lift off the brake turn in handbrake and learn to apply the throttle mid corner. New episode on wet weather driving soon btw
Hi just to say the handbrake does not lock all 4 wheels on a car even a wrc car as you stated in this video?, it only locks the rear wheels and that is to get the back end round quicker so you can power out of a corner much earlier and quicker, also sometimes on tarmac its better to apply handbrake as you come down into 2nd gear and as the back end starts to come round then go into first and apply throttle depends on surface and type of bend. Also a lot of gamers make the mistake of having too much force feedback on there wheels in reality a wrc cars steering is very light this is so they can make lightning fast corrections with little resistence in fact a wrc cars steering is so light that if you were to actually take the wheel off you cud turn the wheels using your hand on the centre stem of the wheel. You have also not used the settings in the overall vibration menu youve left the tyre slip at 100 you should lower this to between 20 and 40 this will bring out more detail in your force feedback obviously depends on what wheel you are using also the ground surface and suspension are equally important i have my wheel set so i can just feel a bit of resistance but not much as in a real wrc car if your wheel is pulling etc your wasting time fighting it if you get my drift !!

hi, i'm having problems with wrc 9 on pc. in game the throttle works only from the start, if i stop mid stage the car dosen't drive again. why is that happening?
You mean when you pause the game and resume it, throttle doesn't work? Sounds very weird man... 🤔
@@TMGaming not when i pause the game. for example, if i crash or run off track. once the car actually stops, it wouldn't drive again. i would have to restart from the begining again.
@@tmck6490 Has never happened to me. I've had crashes and stutters but that has never happened. I suggest you asking on the official reddit of the game

@@TMGaming I think it’s cuz before wrc 9 I played a lot of dirt rally 2 and only user older cars. So it’s been engrained into me

There are no mods installed. If you're talking about the thumbnail, it's edited on photoshop

Hey , is this game any good on a controller for a beginner?
Never tried it on a controller but I've heard it's hard
@@TMGaming I've been trying the game for a few days , I'm in the initial stages. But I feel the tracks are insanely hard regardless of the difficulty. I just drove the ( I think montecarlo) snowy track with 10 consecutive narrow hairpins and it was very exhausting. And I play racing games regularly on a controller. Is it going to get harder ? I mean the tracks ?
@@dr.sivavignesh664 Some of the easier locations you can try is Sweden but the fun is trying to enjoy all the stages despite their difficulties 😅
@@TMGaming oh I'm on Sweden right now , what a coincidence! The narrow tracks make me feel afraid , as it's a bit claustrophobic. I think I'll enjoy the game if I give more time to it.

God driving with third person is so didappointing, slow, and boring. Its like you suck all excitement from the game.
WRC 9 on controller is UNPLAYABLE... I want my money back and I can't even ask for a refund... I just bought the game on sale and I was like "this is not even worth 5 euros... if a video game can't be played on controller AT ALL then DON'T FUCKING RELEASE IT!!!"
They advertise it as a video game but they don't say anything about it being completely unplayable without a wheel... this is lawsuit worthy... I haven't been this mad at a video game since playing fucking CoD and we all know how mad CoD's and Activision's bullshit can make a guy... I've never felt so cheated out of my money in my life... and don't tell me "you just suck"... I don't... I play a ton of Dirt Rally 2.0 on controller and I do more than fine... I just wanted to play WRC 9 cause of the official licence and omfg... please let codemasters get the fucking licence ASAP (they're getting it in 2023 anyway)... KT Racing has made an atrocity of a game...
A game sold for PS4 that can't be played unless you have a 200euro wheel that no, I'm not willing to spend that money just to play WRC at the moment in the middle of a fucking pandemic that my wallet has taken an absolutely massive hit because of it... a game sold on PS4 should be PLAYABLE ON A FUCKING CONTROLLER!!! The moment you move you stick to the side a little bit to take a 4, 5 or 6 turn the car twitches like crazy, goes all over the place and you end up crashing...
If KT Racing wanted everyone to play on a wheel THEY SHOULD HAVE SAID SO!!! This is lawsuit worthy... I can't finish a fucking stage on a WRC 3 car (let alone the WRC cars that are way faster) without crashing and omfg... fuck this game... KT Racing is a disgrace to video gaming...
I think you're a little bit too mad. You can play the game with a pad it just takes a lot of practice. It's not good on pad though. There are also wheel costing 100 euros for PS4. I'm sure you could get a refund if you're within a week since buying and haven't played a lot of hours, there are Sony rules about refunding games. I used to play the older games on keyboard and after some time I was quite good and had fun, maybe the stages are very narrow for a pad. Firstly drive Junior WRC and then slowly get on faster cars.
