Nikon and Sigma are a match made in Heaven! I think my favourite lens is the 10-20mm from Sigma and the 105mm macro lens. I also like the 11-16mm lens from Tokina as i love landscapes. I love your Nikon camera the best and it's probably the most expensive with it being all metal.
When you film a cooking video, do you have an idea what footage you need up front? Do you have to repeat the recipe more than once to capture different angles, or do you move the one camera multiple times during the process? What things do you customise on the camera for the different shots (you mention a fixed shutter speed which I guess is a requirement of capturing video footage, but what about focus, iso, aperture, ND etc, do you have to change all those each time you move the camera?)
oh wow, nice gear. I love the a7II, but it's so costly! This is eye opening to see how much time and effort you put into making a video, I will definitely appreciate it a lot more now.

I like to make my cooking videos and your video is very helpful to get good equipments and understand for making cooking video. I finally got GH4 camera and Slik carbon 923 pro and Slik mini pro 7N. However I still need to buy compatible shoes and mounts as you recommend. It is so hard to find right for them. Would you let me know where can I buy them? I also get a Slik sliding arm 2 but I don't know how to set it to Slik carbon 923 pro n. I can't read Japanese instruction. Would you post about how to set it?

What did you think were the pros of FCPX? Also, do you film in S-Log, or do you add a post production filter to your movies to grade them and give them a "filmy" look? And last one... :) What do you for lighting? In my apartment, it's pretty dark and I don't have a huge window, so wondered if you had any tips on good lighting for food videos? And no worries if you are too busy to answer my questions!!
+Lauren Caris Cooks I also have Adobe Premier in my PC but I usually don't use it as I bought and installed many FCPX plug-ins into my PC. I think the most of plug-ins can be installed both FCPX and Premier, so it's totally not a problem which one you choose. I shoot 4K videos with GH4, so I use Vlog-L. When I edit videos I use PIXEL FILM's LUT Loader and James Miller's DELUTS for color grading. and sometimes I use Film ConvertPro2. This part takes me a long time editing. lol I never use any of electric lighting. The reason I moved in this flat is that there are huge windows in the living room so I can shoot without any lighting system. I really prefer natural sun light. well, that's it for your questions. good luck ;)

+Aline Magalhães I would choose... Camera body : A7RII or A7Sll , Lens : SONY 35mm/F1.4 and if you still don't know which one you should buy, you shouldn't go for expensive one. Less than $1000 is enough for both still and movie :)
Hi! Would you recommend the Lumix DMC FZH1? It is cheaper and doesn't need lenses? I want to make flower design videos, quite similar to kitchen videos, just have to go a bit wider. Thanks for helping! I am that type who searches for all-in-one-solutions.

The Df got a spell on me when it came out. It looks just so elegant and slick and from what I've heard, the quality is amazing.
