Our kids get to know the campground and people really well, so they feel safe and can explore more on their own (giving us a break!).
Great point!!
Leaving the fridge stocked, because your plugged into hydro, even when your not there. We have enjoyed a seasonal site for 2 summers, May 1- Oct. 30. Like you said, familiar camp each weekend, easy drive in and out, no hookups or trailering to go through, the trailer is not beat up travelling and we enjoy our 10ft x 20ft deck off the side of our Grand Design 29G toy hauler.... we like it.!
Yes!!
When we lived in Flowery Branch we put our 5th wheel in Turners Corner. Weekend get away was great. Enjoy
We loved in Flowery Branch when we first married!
We live in Fl. now going full time again next May when I retire. We also lived in Lawrenceville, Gainesville and Braselton. We enjoy your video's and learn a lot. Thank you for your time.
We have a permanent site (but still travel with our 5vr). Love that we get to use it more other than it just being in storage. Also, a great short getaway from time to time. The other pros you mentioned are spot on. Monitor it with a Reolink solar powered LTE camera although no one has ever had a problem at the campground.
Great suggestion on the Reolink!
Hate to admit it but we just bought a second 5th wheel for a permanent site we got last fall. We have a 5th wheel we travel with and now one on our permanent site. The site came with a trailer that was nice but wasn't a good fit for us so we traded it in. Love to travel but love our seasonal for all the reasons you listed.
It’s the best of both worlds really. Lucky to snag this one!
I've been on the hunt for a permanent site that doesn't cost more than 50k in the west. Yours is perfect!
We are looking into doing something similar… We currently have a TrailManor (folding hard side travel trailer) that we love to take on adventures. But we are looking to pick up a traditional camper to set up on a seasonal site.
We are definitely camping more.
Nice, looking GOOD.
Pro, I wouldn’t be dependent on my husband. I don’t tow our rig! He’s always welcome, but if we have a conflict with plans I could still go with the kids.
Absolutely!!
Good Stuff Thanks Again
If you are not able to store your RV at your house and would have to pay storage then it makes total sense. Permanent site might not be that much more expensive.
Basically a 2nd home. I like a piece of land personally
Pros and cons with land as well. Around here prices are still inflated. Maybe in a year or two that will be a great option.
@@WanderingWeekends it's slowing down fast. I peek around that corner of VA TN WV NC like Bristol etc and also upstate NY, and stuff is starting to sit. 5-10 acres with a view and a camper is all you need. You can always drive around or take different routes, I just stopped at Grayson and Mt Rogers and did the Blue Ridge by Blowing Rock for the first time in many years. Like you say nice fall weather, so the roads were busy. I've got 10 acres with a garage and my trailer in Vermont looking at the White Mountains, and it's affordable with little maintenance. Also, have an off-grid on a lake in Western Maine that I'm fond of but live in Florida. Ashville and areas like Blowing Rock have gotten way too crowded for my taste.
So do a lot of these folks live there full time or mostly weekenders? I've never seen anything like this in texas since we can camp year round.
No, full time living isn’t allowed. We basically camp year round as well. That would be all the more reason to have a spot. One could use it more often.
Great content
Thank you!
What about security when you're not there... how do you address that?
Managers live there full time. I’ve also thought about a ring camera or two.
Where and how to look for a permanent site?
We did a vid for that one 😊5 Tips and Tricks for Securing a PERMANENT RV SITE: Number 4 is the Most Important!

@@WanderingWeekends saw it. I guess we will have to drive around and find out if they have some available or have a waiting list. Love the Blue Ridge area. Only an hour away.
We purchased our first trailer, 2022 pioneer ds320, we got our seasonal site and can't wait to get it all set up for the summer, saving us from traveling 18 hours up north to the cottage.
Brooke killing the outro……more Brooke less Cory! jk lol. nice vid guys
I agree! Haha
It's quite expensive around here for seasonal sites. Perhaps maybe next year when the fed kills the economy, those permanent sites will be more affordable.
They vary a ton around here. $150 per month all the way to as much as you want to pay.
