    That's a great layout , i like the outside popup model you use .. they work very well .. On the smaller bulk propane tank, around 16 years ago i bought one just like the model you have , i runs me all season for cooking and when empty is $3.45 to refill it .. So much easier to store and use it even when full , just got tired of the 5 gallon models just to big and hard to store .. I went to Therm-o-Rest inflatable seat pads maybe 18 years ago , insulated and half a dozen puffs of air it's ready to sit on and stores rolled up in a small package until the next frozen rock or log i want to sit down on .. great camp , i like the led lights , that's the way to go ..

      Good gear, Norman. We have some thermarest pads too. We generally taking them with us on excursions.

    Great idea on the seating pads! My favorite gear is a roll up aluminum table used for cooking - it holds the gas grill and either a 2-burner Coleman stove or an induction cooktop. Another fave is the Clam Escape Sky model. We can throw a roof on it if it is going to rain, otherwise, it lets a lot of air through.

    • @TravelSmallLiveBig
      @TravelSmallLiveBig 4 года назад +1

      Eileen Brown we have a table like that as well - great for playing cards in the afternoon too!

    • @Wildonthego
      @Wildonthego  4 года назад +1

      The Escape Sky amzn.to/39a1ot9 really allows air movement while mitigating bug troubles. Thanks for watching, liking, commenting, and subscribing.

      Jim Brown me too - because at night I tell myself “one more video” (about five times) and those long videos can create havoc when I have to get up for work the next morning 😂

    Love the setup! Some great recommendations in your video. For the grill setup, I would suggest you look into the POP-UP-PIT on amazon. It's a firepit and grill all in one! I will usually cook on the grill then remove the grates and throw some firewood on for a nice campfire while I eat! =) - bloggin brandi

    • @Wildonthego
      @Wildonthego  4 года назад +1

      Thanks. The Popup Pit amzn.to/3eG9Ql0 is nice. We actually carry a simple grate that we can place over a fire pit, but the popup is more versatile. We appreciate your feedback and tips.

    Beautiful campsite! Beautiful deer! Looks so peaceful. Hope you two, and Barkley, are staying safe and healthy! Where is that campground?

    • @Wildonthego
      @Wildonthego  4 года назад +1

      We agree. Thanks and we hope the same for you and yours. It's actually a non-public site in northwest Oregon that we were fortunate to enjoy. Thanks for watching and for commenting.

  • @TravelSmallLiveBig
    @TravelSmallLiveBig 4 года назад +1

    Wow - the deer! No matter how many times I see them, it makes me happy - like dolphins off the bow of our boat! And wine in a hammock. I love all of your outdoor gear - we have some similar items (friend gave us a pop up canopy and I had no idea how much I would love it). Also love our propane fire pit. Questions for you - How long are you staying in this spot and what is your average number of nights in each spot? We are not full-time so tend to stay 1 to 3 nights in a spot, but I love getting set up outside no matter how long we are there.

    • @Wildonthego
      @Wildonthego  4 года назад +1

      We're unsure about duration at this time. Things are so crazy now - hard to plan. When we're exploring an area, we'll stay anywhere from two nights to a week. We've stayed much longer when exploring a region. We enjoy the exploration and adventure more than the driving the RV around. Thanks for watching this one and for sharing your comments. Happy travels.

  • @reberhardt
    @reberhardt 4 года назад +1

    I’m thinking of going with the 11 pound tank. Not as big as a 20 but bigger than the 5. We use propane for the fire pit too

    • @alphafez
      @alphafez 4 года назад +1

      We use an 11#er also for our grill. I just knew Bernie had that cloak over his hammock for a reason.

    What's a good type of outdoor flooring other than indoor/outdoor carpeting?

  • @freedomdove
    @freedomdove 4 года назад +1

    Those mats are a good idea. I have used them when gardening. Love the trail cam footage. Is that much different than just using a go-pro (or knock-off)?

    • @RVersity
      @RVersity 4 года назад

      Go pros are great since they are compact and some of the knock offs are just as good IMO, but I use just a sony digital camera in movie mode to make all of my videos and it works great! - bloggin brandi

    • @Wildonthego
      @Wildonthego  4 года назад +2

      A common trail camera is setup to detect motion to trigger the capture of images and/or video clips. They also may have IR lighting for night captures. Here are some examples: amzn.to/2Z6ePqK. The one we used that captured the deer clips in this video is the following: amzn.to/2ZKivxg. We're glad you enjoyed this video.
