- 2023 sees the return of another steam loco from scrapyard condition in the for of GWR 5101 Class No 4110, and after a little over two years, the team at Cranmore have once again done an excellent job.
The loco would make its public return to passenger service after 58 years during the East Somerset Railway Spring Steam Gala. The event would see four locos in steam, taking in turns on the passenger service between Cranmore and Mendip Vale, as well as short goods runs to the loco depot. The weather on the day was a mix of sun and cloud, with a small amount of rain during the morning.
