Forget a work truck...id drive that everyday!
I’m a big fan of base model vehicles because if they’re well-taken-care-of, they are in great shape for the lowest trim level.
I'm impressed to see manual locks and roll down windows. Had that in my first car and iam glad to see it is still around.
It's cool to keep cars cheap but this thing is $30k anyway. It's not like a power window adds much. The track and everything is already there you're just paying for a motor. Manual locks are also pretty insignificant in terms of cost saving. I think it's really just to make more people fork out for their nicer infotainment screen and other garbage cuz it's all in a package together.
Manual locks sure but fuck manual windows in a truck. It's not like it's some small car where you can just reach over to the passenger side. Power windows weigh nothing and the "b-b-b-but I might have to take five minutes to replace a regulator a decade from now.." is a tired argument and seems to be the only one anyone ever makes.
I bought one just like this for pulling my trailers around. Glad I got a reg cab XL f-350. I got mine out the door for 32k
Jimmy4x4 Socal It’s a good new farm truck
Good grab, and you'll be using it for 20 years.
Caleb M even more cause it’s a ford
Fun fact did you know in the winter if you are in a snowy climate the Ford logo that is embossed in the hood cover is the first part to get hot so if their is snow on the hood when the truck warms up their will be a melted ford logo on the hood it's pretty cool to see.
Gosh I love your videos. Instead of reviewing un practical trucks $70k. This is a truck I would consider. Awesome awesome review as always man. Huge thumbs up buddy!!!!
Thanks :)
Not gonna lie, I'm really into your openings reversing over the camera. Signature move haha. Keep it up man!
Everyone must appreciate the honesty of a base model, they are more fun than the other trims because they are less inclined to break, last longer, cheaper to maintain, better resale (especially if it was a commercial vehicle), and it is easier to install aftermarket accessories. When it comes to Ford pickup trucks(from the International Ranger to the North American Super-Duty)... I like my XL trim.
"For younger falks it's called manual window" 😂😂
Bonora70 I think us younger folks know how to spell folks right instead of "falks" tho.
Hashtag Aidan C *though
Dan Blough haha
and manual door locks lol poor kids will get lock in
@@KevinJohnson-jc9ju locked in? How? Besides you've gotta be pretty damn young to not know what a manual lock or manual window is. Like 5 years old or something. This upper middle class is really out of touch with how the average American lives.
I shed a manly tear....
just another GREAT REVIEW by MIKE
Loving the new styling! My dad just bought a 2006 F-350 XL SuperCrew with the 6.0L Powerstroke Turbodiesel V8 in it for his company, and it's a beast, but I can't wait to see how much more awesome the new trucks are! (:
All it needs is a bedliner and it's mint! haha! great review mike, this will be helpful for contracting companies.
Thank you SO much, Mike, for doing this review! Love it! :D
Nice review of the new Aluminum Body Super Duty.
I have an 2018 F450 xl tool truck with a 6.7l diesel and I liked it so much just bought a 2017 F250 xl as my daily driver
You can get a Ram 2500/3500 Tradesman and it has a storage area behind the front seats
Good summary - Thanks. Many other videos focus on the high end models with an excess of gadgets.
Excellent Video! This is exactly what I wanted. Would like to see the same video for all the other trims
Nice review of a more affordable truck which is a lot harder to find. I'm looking for a '18 or '19 F250 XLT regular cab 4x4 and there aren't any on the lots around here much less my pick of color. Very view view video reviews too of the regular cab. Thanks for showing.
The strangest thing about the XL trim level is that vinyl seats are an exclusive. You'd think that would just discourage more people from considering the XLT for a work truck.
Ford also now offers I think its the STX package for alittle more and you get the electric locks and windows and CD player and what not. I almost believe the manual windows for a work truck are better because there gonna be beat the hell out of so one less thing to go wrong. be nice to see ford offer electric doors locks standard on every model considering its a 2017 model. also with the package you get steel bumpers
I really enjoyed these Car review videos
That was a well done review, Mike! Keep it up!
Your reviews are very good Mike. Subscribed! :)
Perfect example of a work truck
Id change center seat thing to install a storage/work station for laptop and mobile printer. Needs to be diesel and 8 foot box regular cab.
Other than that it's perfect
andrew beaudry Diesel is makes the price ridiculous and reduces payload capacity.
mike your reviews are best ...keep it up... can you review a chevrolet silverado 2500hd?your car is awsome i really like your car
@MikesCarInfo do an xl regular cab 4x4 with the 6.7L Powerstroke Diesel with the power equipment group
I highly recommend manual gauge clusters for when inevitably your electrics pull a fast one because it’s a ford. (I drive a Ford F-150)
well done great video all should be done that way
Bought My F350 last April put rims/tires fender flares and exhaust and its available to work if I want. Love Love Love my F350 its a mans ride so hang onto your coffee tight. I have the same colour as this with the black bumpers aswell… the 4x4 decal is a must- to remove just cheese
Locked spare tire is so smart.
I hope ford doesn’t change the body style too much cause this is a great design
Thats what I call the real XL the ones today of 2023 are pathetic!! This is my most favorite interior! I wish ford still made this interior! And I really wish ford kept that type of radio nice and basic they way i like it!
Nice truck but no way in hell I'll pay 35k for a base model
With incentives most of the dealers are selling 4WD extended cab XLT's for about 35k right now
+Fred Crews gas or? diesel
+Zion Gearhart or diesel**
XLT is way better than the XL.
exactly the base model is so ugly and looks like a god damn 2004 Toyoda Camry in the interior
Good camera angle from underneath at the beginning, Slow to 25% for a good view. F250 looks good.
Looks like a nice work truck that will give good value. Less is better!
10:45 That's Safety Glass ! ! ! ! Really good idea they used that.
It can take a hit and even if it cracks it stays together like the windshield.
It also helps for side impact and roll overs.
You are a good presenter, good camera angles and control, Thank you for posting!
I’m going to use this as first vehicle cause I’m going to do snow plowing etc
Sadly they don't build regular cab trucks with room behind the seats anymore
Alex Mills there is room there...
That's called an extended cab...
@@cm01 An extended cab has rear seats.
The opening reminds me of a Family Guy episode when Brian crashed his car and they gave him a Hummer loaner and there was a shot of the car going over them
I just bought 2017 6.7L diesel engine for 37,000 dollar total price and I live in California. That price for a gas is a bit too high.
how come you cant get anything higher than an xlt in a regular cab anymore? i had an 89 xlt lariat reg cab with a rear sliding window and i dont see that anymore any reason why?
3rdgen4runnerguru probably due to demand most people buy reg cab trucks for work not luxury
BTW @14:25 did you buy a Challenger?
Yes I picked up a 2016 SXT :)
Thought so. Can't wait for the tour.
@ will be remove right now
LIKE THE FOR F150 THAT BODY IS ALUMINUM?
Yes
unfortunately
CASTRO Montana why unfortunately??? lol aluminum is the reason am looking to buy it
CASTRO Montana tell me a reason why is bad
It's very expensive to fix
No cruise control?
Is the engine block aluminum or cast iron?
Shawn Riddle it's a cast iron block with aluminum alloy heads
Great videos as usual, but I think that is one style that will never grow on me. That's almost as bad as the Pontiac Aztek.
And here are those "Ah" things...
That hold the hood up...LoL...😂
Sum times I no brain good :)
If it was any colour other than white I would daily this.
That is insane 35k for a base level truck with roll ups ☹️
Yeah but otd will be under $30k
NHTSA announced that will require vehicles built from May 1, 2018 on to have a back-up camera. The rule applies to all road-legal vehicles under 10,000 pounds. So you will see alot of this coming up.
back up camera was added on, see the options list
Robert Mememe you can thank CrewCabs and soccer moms wanting to turn trucks into luxury cars that.
callofdutyguy9
Actually its just inflation over the years.
And a lot of standard features included.
Can you use a snowplow on this truck?
I prefer the satin black over chrome.
What is this a 2017 with rolling Windows, no electric speedometer, and no touch screen
Emporer Gogito you are a goof.
You seriously talking shit for no reason
It is a work model dumb dumb
Emporer Gogito you can its an option
Guess it's for old people liking older version tech
Do a crew cab xl
Manual windows will save your life when you drive it into a lake.
+MikesCarInfo do a 2017 F250 XL Regular Cab 4X4 with the 6.7L Diesel V8 engine
It still has a ttb wow
Does the f350 have more stock lift?
callofdutyguy9 yes
You meant f250
price is ridiculous!I've bought a 2013 f150 brand new for 32k,super cab,SYNC,8ft bed,tow package,4x4,ecoboost engine, even came with folding tonneau cover.I've tried pricing new f150 with same options and Im getting closer to 40k.
You don't pay msrp
nice
My dream truck just not in the color white☺
No crews control?
Cruise is spelled wrong
'Solid disk brakes in the back'? No way! They are ventilated in the rear as well.
Thank you for the correction :)
You're welcome Captain.
How much would a truck like this cost?
Reviews R Us about 35k
Thx
Reviews R Us no prob
I got an extended cab XLT for 36k this truck would be much less than that
it's 430 lb ft of torque for this year
+yujiro hanma Thanks :)
+MikesCarInfo no problem great review on an awesome work Truck
It is great to see a Work Truck that has basic amenities like roll up
windows and non
essentials deleted. Nowadays folks place more emphasis on stupid
infotainment, heated seat warmers and how bright their light-bright LEDS
can change color than about gear ratios and if the axle is a floater or
semi floater. Nowadays trucks are becoming more emasculated where
everything has to be just right or people whine like crybabies if they
are missing an extra USB port for goodness sake! Due to society's
inability to drive a manual transmission, because the general public has
become dumbed down and EPA
requirements... that option has disappeared. Granted the review backup
camera IS Nice because it is useful and the truck could be a tad
cheaper. However,
the 2017 Superduty was just released, anyone would expect it to be high
in price for the first half of the model year. So No thanks to society,
its a wonder such trucks are still available. I prefer the manual
windows for a work truck and everything durable. BTW, manual
mode in a automatic is not driving a stick shift. You have to have a
Clutch Pedal and and a gear actuator engaging actual gears not a carbon
clutchpack via shift solenoids. And Syncromesh is Luxury in comparison
to having to double clutch and shifting gears back in the old days but
that's another story. ANWAY... The truck is NICE. COOL TO SEE TWIN
I-BEAM. IT IS A DURABLE FRONT SUSPENSION!
Manual mode on this truck is only meant for towing and getting yourself up a muddy hill. Not met for sporty bull crap. That’s for the wussies.
Des 2019 look like this one
I don't think I'd want an aluminum bed for a work truck
I love Ford! but lol they are still using twin I beam in 2wd
test super duty f350
No reason to. The 350 wouldn't have anything unique over this aside from higher payload/towing.
+Mike Dubiansky
What arrived yet?
Bee Boo I don't understand your question but the F-250, F--350 and F-450 are basically the same in terms of the body and interior. The differences are mechanical that allow the 350 and 450 to carry more weight and wouldn't make for a unique video.
i thought the number stands for a more bigger and wider truck
Giovannie Doldolea Any size difference will be slight. The 350 and 450 may have a strengthened frame, stronger axles and stiffer springs but they are not any bigger. The number just signifies a higher payload and towing ability (though the number itself is meaningless- 150, 250, 350 doesn't have any direct meaning).
I don't like the badges and the grille not matching. Like black plastic and fake chrome emblems.
didnt know they still made the scissor axle
All I hear is skydoesminecraft
I know trucks aren't supposed to win beauty contests but this is terrible compared to the previous gens
That's a boatload full of money for a stripper.
first
who hates the antenna
No one
I don't like the new design
