If they were smart, the killer would have been this shows Velma, The real Velma from Scooby-Doo shows up with the talking dog and explains how we had been following an imposter the whole time along with how and why fake Velma did what she did.

That wouldn’t have made watching season 1 bearable but it would have made a season 2 funded acceptable.

My ideal ending was the crew getting killed in a mine collapse in the final few minutes of the show, then the *actual* Scooby Gang showing up with all the answers and looking down on their imposters. Your example is so much better, could have actually made sense and been set up pretty well!

    • @geomania8533
      @geomania8533 Год назад +15

Hell would’ve been a better ending if it was revealed that the original Scooby gang was the ACTUAL killers. Cuz least they would have had a reason for why. Also would make this series end on a high note. Though I hope they spare fake shaggy. Cuz he’s the only decent person we have that isn’t screwed up as much as the others.

    • @lookingforlove839

The show would have made sense if a rival company of Fred's family business was responsible for the murders. One of the boys that go to the school could be a part of this rival family. He hated Fred because he was ugly and the girls ignore him, while Fred was popular despite being an idiot. He ordered the murder of the girls( typical incel behaviour) since they rejected his advances. You can say that he planned to switch their brains with dogs, since they were "bitches" to him. The plan is to switch his brain with Fred, so that he can inherit all of Fred's family money and merge with the company in the future, while also being popular with the girls in school. I was thinking of having one of the band nerds be the culprit, since he would also be close to Velma and Norville.Obviously, this needs a lot of buildup and it requires time. Like the time the show wasted on trying to find Daphne's parents

The funny thing is they try to say men can do anything, at the same time they treat their male characters like trash who get steamrolled by the female characters.
They literally can't keep a message straight for five seconds because it makes no sense. You see Norville getting stepped on by Velma and ordered around by Gigi, and then Velma saying, "WOW, MEN CAN TOTALLY DO ANYTHING AND EVERYONE IS OKAY WITH IT".
Really? Is that the way Norville, the male character, is treated? Not even Fred gets treated that way when you look at things like his mother telling him what he has to do.
They WANT something to be true, because then it's an excuse for them, but even they know it's not true and can't keep it straight.

There's a horrible trend in comedy now where writers think a joke is simply stating some fact or political opinion. There's no set up or punchline (example here: "isnt it weird that women make less money than men"). These aren't jokes by any measure, they're simply proclamations. However, it's not that a joke can't be made about such a topic (or anything for that matter), it's that those writers are either too lazy to think something more clever that fits a comedic structure, or they're simply unable to so. It's really quite a depressing trend.

I think calling this a re-imagining is the most insulting thing about the show. I’m all for exploring well known characters in new ways. Giving them new backstories, leaning into select traits, changing up their roles in the group dynamic, but there has to be some actual recognizable connection to the source material. I had no problems with the race swap, even though it felt pointless and poorly reasoned. What I did have a problem with is them turning a character who has been a beloved inspiration for smart, nerdy girls for decades who not a stupid, mean and bitter entirely hateable character who wears the same outfit.

I think the reason this show doesn't work and family guy does is because the references and jokes of velma are made by out of touch Hollywood liberals who never had fun as teens and children and have only a feeble understanding of what humour is.
It's like somebody took a family guy script, removed the lines, left just the scene composition and made an AI write the lines instead.

so this whole show seems to be self aware that non of the characters are like able, smart, or worth caring about so that's why they made zero effort to write a script.

Please know that Mindy has admitted to SA-ing a male coworker, & threatening another's job who saw it if he said anything. Laughing & joking about it in a interview. It's easily findable here on RUclips.

What's amazing to me is their ability to consistently mention tired feminist talking points that were either debunked 10 years ago, remedied like 50 years ago or are completely irrelevant to begin with.
Oh, and the way they make a lame attempt at actual humor and then immediately go and explain the joke in the next sentence, terrified that somebody might miss their incredible wit.

According to this show, men sexualize everything about women and it's all problematic. Lol. In all seriousness, I think the biggest problem with the show's racist humor weirdly isn't the racist humor. It's the show's refusal to make any other kind of race jokes, making the ones they do make just feel mean and targeted.

What I hate is how I called it on like episode 7 I was like their gonna make the real killer a woman and there’s only two people we barely know and daphnes mom is cleared as just a low level criminal and this show hates white people so it must be Fred’s mom since they’ve demonized the entire family since episode 1

As a white man, I love it when jokes are made about white people, but only if it’s actually funny. South Park had a very funny scene where two Asian people did impressions of a white man and I died laughing, because it was clever. This show’s idea of a “clever joke to make about white people” is just plain hating white people. Every joke they made is “You’re white, you’re lame,” it couldn’t be any less funny. The world would be fuming if it had been a white person say that about any other person of color, because it actually is just plain racism.
