ATMOSPHERIC RIVER BURYING CALIFORNIA MOUNTAIN TOWNS - What is it???

Over the last 5 days, a powerful Atmospheric River has had a grip on the state of California. Los Angeles has hit their yearly rainfall total for 2024 and its only March! Meanwhile, in the high sierra towns are once again being buried by relentless snow as total stack higher and higher. All of this, coming on the heels of the record shattering 2022/2023 Winter Season leaving some residents wondering if its ever going to stop.
From a chasing perspective, I have spent more time in California over the last 5 months than I have in my life because of the what feels like non stop firehose that refuses to shut off. Watch what its like as a storm chaser to cover such events for 5 days straight.
