I have a question about PCBs. I want to build one of my own, but I have one question left. I didn´t find an answer in the internet yet. Maybe you are able to help me. How thick do my routing width have to be if a want to use it for an 0.24 amps (or 240 milliampere) application or is there a guidline anywhere?
Generally, it is a rule of thumb to assume a trace width of 1mm per Amp of current carried for a board with standard copper thickness. However it's not the as some PCB's . For your requirements , trace of .5 to 1 mm width is enough for atmost 0 to 2 Amp. There is no problem for that .
If any clarifications or any doubt , don't hesitate to contact . Comment below or message (DM) me on Instagram my id is @design_n_techie
