I loved the show. I was really shocked about how unfiltered and honest he showed the aftermath of the abuse and his resulting trauma. I saw some parallels to my own life in it, and it was at first pretty unpleasant but also kind of helpful to see another human being reacting this way. I hope this series helps others feel less alone too.

Is crazy but admirable that he put himself through that trauma all over again just to show his story. It's extremely brave . I'm a sad and dv victim and I really could never imagine acting it out or relieving it .

It's incredibly admirable how Richard Gadd bravely shared his personal experiences, even those that might make him vulnerable to prejudice. It's ironic that by bringing awareness to stalking, the audience stalked Gadd and found the real Martha and then stalked her. That's what I got from this video anyway. I have also never seen the POV of a guy being stalked by a woman. I feel sad for them both

Not defending it in any way just wondering. Bc a lot of women have to marry this dynamic, reversed. And then are taught to fulfill the guys every need like that’s going to get them into heaven to the detriment of their own needs. It’s extremely painful. (Trad conservative Christian groups esp quiverfull and I’m sure other religions) and what if the stalker was hot and attractive, it should show that it changes nothing for the victim it’s still a nightmare still so Gollum, breathless just like she is and suffocating. Brilliant acting.

I am in no way defending a woman who does this to a man or even another woman, yes it is bad but you do not need to make up stuff to make it sound worse than it is, I am a woman and I get it, it was a traumatic experience but I don't have the need to put any caveats onto it.

It's not really a secret. He admitted in the show thingy. He played the victim though with quotes like "with every chemical he spoon fed me" etc. He was doing slope snow before he met the old guy. He also claimed that smokey dopey was the gateway substance the rest of the stuff he took, which is bs. Why didn't he just admit to having an addictive personality where nothing will ever be enough. He practically sold himself to the old guy. I do feel somewhat bad for him, but he needs to be more truthful. He used and abused people way before what happened with the old guy and continued to do so after. Look how he treated his lass, sacked her off on her birthday and kept living at her mams house rent free. He led a mentally ill woman along, and if she hadn't have been heavy, he'd have no doubt moved in with her and not have labeled her a stalker etc. I'm intrigued as to why he led her down the garden path when it suited him, and then suddenly get embarrassed and label her a stalker. Yet protected the old guy if the case was as he portrayed in the show.
Edit; I hope this makes sense, I've had to change some wording so I don't get banned etc.

Do men like you not have any women in your lives, no sisters, no mums, no female co workers. do you see women as totally alien to yourselves, because that is the only reason I can think you can say such nonsense.
