One of the main challenges that the Pi Foundation needs to work on with future boards is power delivery for sure.
Be advised ! Glad to see theres no micro-HDMI, from my experience, not a very steardy connector compared to the full-HDMI, Bonus for the USB-C connection. Good to show options/use.

11:40 the kickstand is a fair trade for VESA mount. But I imagine you could rig a secure mounting solution with kickstand. Let us know if you come up with anything. 💯

I have a 13" that I picked up for my tabletop vpin cabinet, but a 14" would be nicer however at 199 too steep for me at this point as that 179 seems to be gone.
Not too bad at all. I did have to laugh at the Amazon link where is stated that it was 'full HDR', then read 250 cd/m2.
How is it physically supported when in portrait mode?
The Honor 20 does look interesting as a second hand purchase. It is long overdue for all pones to have video over USB-C. Manufactures don't even need to develop desktop modes when you consider that there are a plethora of launchers that will achieve the same effective functionality.
You can see the stand is angled so when it is perpendicular to the monitor it can lean back slightly to stand. Not sure that I would trust it not to fall over diagonally though.
It stands up vertically with the kickstand, slightly leaned back.
Unfortunately many Android phones still don’t support video out via usb c. I had a pixel 3a a while ago and was disappointed that video out wasn’t supported.
I have my raspberry pi 4 running auto login and auto open webpage for my RUclips subscriber count it’s very good and smooth running at 2147 overclock

I was all ready to get a 1400, and now you show me this 1410. My takeaway is
chrome VS black
vesa VS just hang it (kinda like the idea of hanging that way I can just grab and go)
folding case VS folding stand (I guess I could buy something else to protect it)
thickish VS thinner
reflective VS matt (is it protected in any way, or exposed LCD?)
plugs sticking out sides VS plugs behind lip
If it was black and had protective case, I wouldn't have to think about it. Function over fashion I guess. Thanks for posting this and for the links!

So this one does cell phone mirroring in portrait as well? In full screen instead of the 1/3
I didn’t find a portrait output setting on the Honor phone. The monitor doesn’t have a rotate setting.
@@leepspvideo ... Do standard mirror cast screencast and then do the rotation on the monitor if it fully works it be full screen for screencast looking like a giant cell phone that's what I mean you're looking for turn a small cell phone into a giant
@@marcus_cole_2 as far as I can see the monitor doesn’t have rotate. It will be down to the os to be able to rotate the output.
Man those prices, so hard to justify for me. Nice product otherwise

Which Linux Distribution are you using on the Raspberry Pi? Also, did you have to do some configuration or install any packages or does touch work out of the box?

Does this work with all phones including iPhone and pixels
Google pixel phones often don’t support usb video output. iPhones work with a lightning to hdmi adapter, see this video.

Many mid to high end Android phones do have usb c video output. Samsung, Huawei, Honor,, Motorola, Pinephone.
Even Microsoft had support on some phones with continuum
