Robin Williams instantly comes to mind, may he rest in peace! Thing is, so many comedians live really dark lives. It's where they draw so much of their material from. It's like, by going through so much pain, they're able to understand what others go through, and make it relatable. The art comes by being able to find comedy in even the darkest of places.
I find that people who are honest often don't have many people around them because although they say they do, many don't like to hear the truth. Facts.
A few years ago I was struggling to move on after my break-up from a toxic relationship b/c I was still in love w/ my ex. One of the best pieces of advice I got then was: "You might always love that person, but, they're not right for you. And, that's ok to still have love for them." These 2 look beyond repair despite their love for each other. On a surface level, it seems like a communication issue. You want to scream at them "Shut up and just pour your heart out! You guys still love each other! Cmon!" But, they've reached that point where they can't even communicate b/c they're both so hurt at each other that even the smallest things trigger them then it turns into a pissing match to see who can belittle the other the most. Not healthy. Keep it moving. Work on yourselves & heal.
A more significant reason is that the younger generations can't even communicate, because they so immature. It's almost like they are permanently stunted.
If they attack each other in a five-minute meeting to give back a couple of items they don't really love each other. They remind me of a couple that were together just because they don't want to be alone... that's not love oh, that's not even close to love
