    Fun fact:
    Orthopedics = Orthopaedics
    Orthopaedics - traditional English spelling used more in academic settings (so you'll see that spelling in the hospitals and departments)
    Orthopedics - more Americanized spelling
    Both can be used interchangeably! Not that I had to look that up while editing this video....

    "There is no pain like nerve pain"...You nailed in! I have now needed 2 lumbar fusions(L4-L5 initially, then L5-S1 fused in april of 2021). Both I dealt with some stupid amount of nerve pain that no amount of pain meds, and others could touch. Its amazing waking up from surgery and your biggest worry is mechanical pain from the fusion, and the bladder catheter. I still may hurt , and struggle every day to get up, but without the 10/10 nerve pain I can work again. I do wish spine surgeries could cure pain 100%. If I could have 1 wish from a genie is that my back pain and the millions of others could go away

    If I were a doctor I would have to be a surgeon or work in the ER where all the action and excitement is.

    Thanks so much for the vid! I am 3rd year medschool student and want to go into ortho. Cant wait to get into training! The one thing which struck the most was the mentor. How to find a mentor as perfect as Dr. Agochukwu?
