Man the elevation the pencil work gave the picture was night and day, the final product blew me away and the beard was a great move.

My goodness. This is a masterpiece. I need to learn how to do this just as a great hobby (obviously not as good). Coloring is very relaxing compared to what I do day in and day out.

This came out just in time! I drew something yesterday that I want to color, but am too scared of ruining. Hearing your method really helped boost my confidence just now. That Thor is excellent!
I would say scan it to create a digital copy of it, then you dont have to worry about ruining the drawing. This also gives you the ability to print multiple copies and try different techniques.

The only major mistake I noticed in your art work is you gave thor black hair on his arms & hands which is not correct for a character which you gave blond hair & beard to. Other than that one glaring mistake it looks rather good.

That skin tone tip is excellent, and not just for skin tones. I’m doing a still life right now that has a lemon next to a black ceramic jug and some beverages. I colored the lemon first and it looked dark enough until I put in the black jug. Now the lemon looks like it’s the color of the inside of a banana and I’m going to have to go back and darken/warm it up and hope I haven’t already put down too many layers.

I really have to hand it to Marvel for one thing. There is a lot of Marvel official stuff they sell at Dollar Tree and other discount stores. I understand that it is part of marketing and building brand loyalty in kids, but I remember then I was little and nothing I had was brand name anything. It's easy to forget as an adult, but when you are a kid, how your friends react to your toys and stuff means something. Particularly, the Marvel coloring and puzzle books are really good quality, too. For a buck, you get good drawings on good paper, and usually some story that is pretty accurate in terms of the character's canon and the film continuity. Yeah, Disney may be a terrible company, but I bet a lot of kids are happy to have some awesome Marvel stuff their folks might not otherwise be able to afford.
Hey I like your videos featuring super hero coloring books. I know you prefer anime but would you be willing to do a He-Man coloring book? Any character is fine with me. Revelations is a new Masters of the Universe (MOTU) cartoon out now, however the year 2000 series was cool too (aka Mike Young productions or 2000X). Any luck we might see something MOTU ADC?

There is a kid that sits behind me in my math class, and he's always annoying, and one day he brings in Copic markers. I say: "What you drawing?" And he replies with "What? I'm here to do Maths." And proceeds to use them as pencils. What a waste of ink.
I don't know if ADC has done this yet but on Halloween what if he just put a puffy wig over Bob, like a certain other Bob
Oh i usually start with the skin because the face is my favorite part! But i dont have problems with coloring the rest after it 😅

If you're doing just colored pencil, start by blending your first layers with a mild citrus thinner from Blick, and a qtip. It breaks down the binder and let's you move and smooth the pigment. Trick I learned student teaching. Also works great on oil pastel.

I think the biggest thing that blew my mind was when you added hair to his fingers and arms, simply because that's something I would never think to do. I'm also guilty of colouring the skin first...my bad 🙈

As an Artist, zi used to do this all of the time, but with regular crayon. And there is a way to layer your depth with Crayola's! So awesome that he created a channel around this.
