Thanks so much. This is one of my favorite scenes in the whole show. I love the timpani buildup leading into The Phantom’s first lines (Insolent boy…). It’s so brilliant. Thanks again.

I love to think it’s the musical representation of the Phantom’s anger that Christine has another love interest now. Would allow for a springboard for the actor to use . And it’s my fave detail also.
