Saved and Still Enemies of the Cross of Christ...

There are so many enemies of the Cross around here. They would say that if women put on trousers or wear make-up or applied cream on their hair, and Men taste alcohol or cut their hairs in a certain way that they would all go to hell even though they believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior.

      Pastor Beaulieu,
You were correct in that was a rather sobering message, that convicts those of us who are believers to “depart from iniquity...” push forward for the prize, to be a vessel of honor, NOT one of dishonor !

I agree the teaching is great but the sound quality is horrible and needs to be fixed.

That there are saved “Christians” yet still enemies of the Cross of Christ. Philippians 3:19
Thank you Pastor Rodney for your teachings.

It's usually people who believe in the grace message, but attempt to put it in other dispensations. Saying they can find it under the Law in the Old Testament or find it somewhere between from Noah to Abraham or Abraham to Moses. At least from what I've seen its people who say its always been faith apart from works, saying works were never required.
Ignoring verses like this Ezekiel 18:21-24(KJV)"21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die."
Which they don't realize saying that diminishes the significance of what God is doing today. And puts people in danger if they taught that same kind of thinking in the tribulation period. Saying there are no works and yet ignoring that the mark of the beast will be a reality during that time. They even twist what James is actually saying and says he just means 'being justified before men', even though that isn't what it says. Their usual go to response is David. While God did show mercy to David for what he did, it doesn't mean David knew the mystery. He didn't understand how God could forgive him for what he did. Because sin can't just be ignored, it has to be dealt with. They will say that the death, burial and resurrection was prophesied, but that doesn't mean people in the Old Testament understood the significance of it. They weren't "looking towards the cross' like some say. Because like it says in 1 Corinthians 2:6-8(KJV)"6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
They didn't see it as good news the way we see it today. Also, I'm learning that 'salvation' can mean different things depending on the context. Just like baptism, it doesn't always mean water baptism. People don't like to hear it, but people in the Old Testament weren't 'saved' like we are today. Our salvation is current possession, their's is a future one. Your works never saved you, but in the Old Testament the works you did would make you justified in the eyes of God. Paul is a good example he was found blameless.
Philippians 3:4-6(KJV)"4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:
      5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless."
So it was possible to be found right under the law, if you kept the law. And the sacrifices were to cover the sin. However, like it says in Hebrews 10:1(KJV)"For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect."
Hebrews 10:4(KJV)"4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins." These sacrifices could only cover sins, but could not take away. However, through the blood of Christ was able to completely take away.
Like it says in Hebrews 10:14(KJV)"14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified." Salvation has always been from God, but the way to receive that salvation is not always the same. Depends on the terms on how to receive salvation. For us today, its Ephesians 2:8-9(KJV)"8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast." The gospel of the grace of God. Through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
For Israel, its the kingdom gospel. Its being in the kingdom promised to them. With Jesus Christ as their King.
