They keep their congregations under the Mosaic Law with tithing, baptism, striving to keep the Ten Commandments, and other wrong teachings. We are under God’s Grace today, not God’s Law.
Those who will be “born again” and the “new creatures in Christ” aren’t the same groups of believers. The saints today (members of the Body of Christ) in the Age of Grace are predominantly Gentile. Gentiles can’t be “born again.” When you study the Bible “rightly divided” you will see that “born again” is something that only Israel could do. They were born the first time when God delivered them out of Egypt. The LORD called the nation His “firstborn son” ( Exodus 4:22-23). Having been delivered and redeemed from Egypt, Israel was given the Law, the Mosaic Covenant, that sanctified them as a people. Over time Israel became disobedient and their sins abounded. Being born a Jew into the promises and covenants of God was not proving sufficient in keeping them serving the Lord and His Commandments as He required. The prophets spoke of a better covenant that would replace the old (Jeremiah 31:31). With it God’s Spirit would cause them “to walk in His statutes” keeping His commandments (Ezekiel 36:27). The new Covenant would be necessary in order for God to fulfill His promises to Israel. Jesus made this clear to Nicodemus in John 3. The nation as a whole had to be “born again” (John 3:7). Notice Jesus used the plural “YE must be born again” instead of the singular form “THEE”. So you see, only Israel can be “born again” because only Israel was born unto God a first time. You couldn’t be born again because no one is saved through Israel or by Israel’s covenants today, but by God’s Grace through Faith in Christ’s finished work of the cross, His shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection. There are countless examples of "ye" being used as singular. In 1611, Modern English was peaking yet still had traces of Late Middle English. So much so that a lot of people say the King James is written in Old English. In fact, it isn't. I digress. Back to the point, Middle English began to peeter out in the mid-14th century thus showing a strong influence on Modern English (aka: King James English). Therefore, "ye" is both singular and plural at this time just like "you" is both singular and plural today.
