    Doctor as growing up as a child we use to sleep for 7-8 hours during the night. Being an adult over 65 years old do u still need 7-8 hours of sleep during the night.

      It's normal for older folks to sleep less. It might be due to most older people usually take a nap during the day which makes up for the shorter night rest.
      as for the amount of sleep people need, i usually recommend no less than 6 hours per night. around 7 might be sufficient. 8 would be great. amount of sleep we need also depends on how exhausting the days are as well.
