We ended up trading in our Pacifica hybrid due to numerous issues and got a grand Cherokee L. I do wish I had the electronic second row to move the seat up to get access to the 3rd row. Our 10 year old struggles a bit to move the seats herself. Really like the pathfinder but noticed all the ones being delivered locally have the captains chairs deleted for the bench seat.
@@hellkitty1014 yea ours is an overland that comes standard with captains chairs but ours was ours came with the bench seat for an extra charge (we didn’t order it, purchased from the dealers lot). I wish it had a removable center seat like Alex mentioned for the pathfinder in this video. So far it’s been great with the jeep. We’ve had a pathfinder, ascent, and Pacifica hybrid and the jeep is by far the smoothest and most refined vehicle we’ve owned. The air ride suspension is really nice.

Well partly because Subaru makes the Nissan’s look like Toyota’s when it comes to reliability. Cvt is junk and Subaru’s are more of a regional preference.
What vehicle *does* have enough cargo space for you? I'm in the same boat, wanting a large amount of cargo space without having to go to a Tahoe or Expedition.
Put your friend in 2nd row, slide seat forward a bit, put yourself in 3rd row and show us how comfortable both of you are. That is the way to review practicality. Not just stuff yourself in 3rd row and say “if the 2nd row guy move a bit i have have better space”. Who will be in 2nd row? Your family member right? So he ll move a bit. Show us real leg space after adjusting seats. Now i have to literally go to show room and check it myself. I didn’t get from this review what i wanted.
It _is_ a very old platform. I assume they're pushing the Jeep as its replacement. Worldwide, Jeep is considered a more prestigious brand and is better distributed. Nobody in Europe wants a Dodge, but they might consider a Jeep.
The 22 Outlander is a Shared platform/clone with a Nissan Rogue. Which is asmaller platform.. and Mitsu added a 3rd row....that is only useful for amputees only.
It’s funny how they advertised the previous model to tow 6000lbs but it had a CVT. I don’t think I would feel comfortable towing anything with a CVT. I love how this has a 9 speed tranny now. I like the looks of the telluride and palisade over this one but, honestly, I don’t find it too bad. I’m not crazy for the front end but I love the rear end with the large pathfinder nameplate. If you care about cars at all, get the Atlas with the VR6. Baby Urus looks to contrast with the Pathfinder's Ugly Land Rover Discovery style and an interesting engine that sounds good.
Get the Atlas if you want one of the least reliable vehicles currently sold. It also has a surprisingly crummy interior in most trim levels.
@@markmiller3279 VR6 is solid, not sure about the rest, I’m sure there are VW gremlins. Not like Nissan is a paragon of quality. But yeah, VW interiors have gone downhill a lot lately. There’s just nothing else compelling in the segment if you care about the driving experience.
Hi Alex. Great review. Can you tell me that does Pathfinder AWD works on highway for better handling? I mean, will it do a 50 50 split on highway speeds
Unfortunately, Jeep only reserve that for captain chair trims. How has your experience with your Jeep been so far?
@@hellkitty1014 yea ours is an overland that comes standard with captains chairs but ours was ours came with the bench seat for an extra charge (we didn’t order it, purchased from the dealers lot). It’s a catch 22 because with captains chairs, it’s only a 6 seater but with the bench, it’ll seat 7 but make access to the 3rd row a little difficult.
Nice but youre right I will stick with my Sienna
What about the VW Atlas?
Love the looks of this vehicle and the wife fell in love with it. However Edmunds Owner Reviews scared the heck out of me. Stopped me right in my tracks from buying one this week. Usually I take negative reviews with a grain of salt but there are to many seriously bad owner reviews.
Seems those Edmunds comments were all from 2021. KBB give it a 4.5 out of 5.
The rear end reminds of the previous generation RAV4.
Seems a closer comparison to Traverse or Enclave than Highlander or CX9. Yet no mention…
No hybrid or plug in hybrid options in this complete redesign ?
Alex, I think you prefer MDX
Any news for electrified Minivan (aside from sienna)?
Id. Buzz?
Pacifica has been electrified for quite a while
Can a German shepherd fit behind the third row? Enough room?
Nissan did a great job. However I will end up getting the Kia Telluride instead. Its just alot more premium feeling and more standard features
Will you be paying over MSRP for it?
In a few years you'll get a notice in the mail. Engine fires! Park outdoors. Kia has greatly improved as a company but I'll pass on that headache.
i must say i like the grill blacked out. All that chrome on the front of the other trims are a bit to much.
How does pathfinder compare with atlas?
Where the gal of milk storage? Im on the fence
Is it a Toyota Highlander with a Nissan badge and grill. They should have made it comparable to the 4 runner. For 50k, I ll get the hybrid highlander. Mpg is terrible on that nissan
You said it right. It’s a crossover
Hahahah, why does everyone forgot that Subaru ascent is also 3 rows. Where is the comparison with that car lol
Because the initial recalls and transmissionn issues when it first came out, doomed it. Better off rollingnthe dice with a Tribeca
The Ascent has had serious problems and sells very poorly compared to these other models.
Well partly because Subaru makes the Nissan’s look like Toyota’s when it comes to reliability. Cvt is junk and Subaru’s are more of a regional preference.
Your combined leg room picture clearly says if you need a three SUV never even think about this
Why didn't you compare this with the Kia Telluride?
It’s cargo room is not enough for me, looks nice though
They need an off road variant. Where is my pro4x?
Nah, just bring the Xterra back and then add the Pro 4X. Makes much more sense that way. The best I'd expect from the Pathfinder is a Nismo trim.
Wait WHAT, Durango is getting canceled?
lol That's what I zoned in on too. I wonder if anyone knows why. Alex? Others? I assume it is because of the Jeep lineup or poor sales.
I think because the platform is being discontinued. Jeep GCL also exists now so maybe they feel having Durango still would cannibalize sales.
It _is_ a very old platform. I assume they're pushing the Jeep as its replacement. Worldwide, Jeep is considered a more prestigious brand and is better distributed. Nobody in Europe wants a Dodge, but they might consider a Jeep.
No more jatco CVT... yay!!!
The only "Pathfinding" you will be doing with this Car-wagon is to the Kindercare and Kroger.
1x(10/2/22)…..1…..4:30…
Not even a single mention to the Outlander? 🙁 not a comp?
The 22 Outlander is a Shared platform/clone with a Nissan Rogue. Which is asmaller platform.. and Mitsu added a 3rd row....that is only useful for amputees only.
The outlander is much smaller. If Mitsubishi sold the Pajero Sport/Montero Sport in the US, it would have made sense comparing that to the pathfinder.
The Pathfinder is better b/c it has the foot trunk activation. The Armadas suck due 2 not having this hands free foot trunk feature!!
0:09 how to piss off about 90% of moms with more than 2 kids in America
I found it quite hilarious! Because I hate minivans but could definitely use one. 😂
This is more compelling than any overpriced & overrated American 3-row mainstream mid-size SUV
Where is Nissan Forntier review????????????????
It’s funny how they advertised the previous model to tow 6000lbs but it had a CVT. I don’t think I would feel comfortable towing anything with a CVT. I love how this has a 9 speed tranny now. I like the looks of the telluride and palisade over this one but, honestly, I don’t find it too bad. I’m not crazy for the front end but I love the rear end with the large pathfinder nameplate. I wish Kia named the telluride something else otherwise I’d consider it. I can’t stand saying it out loud. Is it ridiculous too not buy a good vehicle just because of its name?
At least it's a ZF, and not a Jatco. 4:54
If the name bothers you thst much, sure, it's reasonable. Not sure what you fimd offensive. Like so many other models it's named after a place in the West. So are the Tahoe, Taos, Tucson, Santa Fe, and others.

Pathfinder should be renamed Mallfinder
What about Explorer, Highlander, Telluride, Outback, Traverse, Passport, Santa Fe, Ascent? Should they be renamed as well? :P
@@ALMX5DP the highlander has always been a crossover, so there's nothing wrong with the name.
👍🏻
They should not have put pathfinder on the back. Vehicles should have said ( don't fallow vehicle BRAKES DOWN OFTEN) 🤣
