It’s so awesome you guys are so passionate on making products made and sourced 100% in America! Plus it’s awesome that you guys love to continue learning new skills, it would be so beneficial if more people were like that.

@@Woodbrew only thing I can say is you might want to get a moisture meter if you don't have one already also perhaps a lean to area to try to keep those logs a bit more dry. Don't want them to start twisting and warping on you after theyre cut and dried out!
We have a meter and have plans to build a kiln one if these days. For outdoor projects that aren’t furniture it’s not that big of a deal, just have to anticipate the shrinking that will happen.
You can pour concrete in the rain. That won't mess anything up. I haven't finished the vlog, yet. That said, if you use teak tile, build up the sloped edge, the person in the shower will be standing on a flat surface. Teak won't rot. It's what they use on boats. If you've ever seen a van lifer with a shower you'll see their shower floor is teak mat/snap together tile. You, both, are doing a fantastic job!
You guys are fearless… I think that’s what I love about Woodbrew the most. Any project you have yet to try won’t be that way very long. Proven Hands will be a very good brand for you guys to put American Made products into the hands of many. I cannot wait to see what all is in store! Great work!
I'm from the UK, I have spoken to you before, if it looks right, it is right......I think the common sense side of America, would be very proud of a young lad like yourself, you carry yourself right, you want to do American made, which I expect from an American........You will go a long way and I think I would like to come along for the ride, so I've decided to subscribe, I know you will be well worth my time when I need something to relax to after a hard day at work.......Keep doing what you are doing and people will take notice of you.....Good job to both of you.
Seeing how many followers and views yall are getting is making me think back to where yall started. Hope yall are proud of yourselves because you're doing amazing 👏
Got some great ideas for our own swimming pool, yet to be bought. Thanks. This is pretty and easy enough. We have nice garden tiles that would look awesome on the gravel with some big planters around the pool just for more natural beauty.
You two are quite a team. Your life together will be magic as long as you keep that. I want to start a betting pool: How long before you buy a bigger pool? Trust me, it will happen. 😂
*This project of part 1 is looking great. Roll onto part 2 next week.🙂 Yep get a few vids done ahead of time, so then when bubs arrives you both can take time out to enjoy parenthood. 🙂nz*
We just started building our outdoor shower today! We started by hiring a plumber and a carpenter. LOL We are not really handy people, to say the least. I love watching your videos. You two are awesome!
My family and I have loved watching your outdoor patio space come together. The outdoor shower looks great, as for the aggressiveness of the finish: free pedicures! The roughness can be used to help wear down calluses. Looks amazing and can’t wait to see what’s next!
Love this channel. Im addicted.. Love the energy and dynamics of your personalities. My new favorite show to watch on RUclips right now. Keep up the great content.
I'm really impressed with your skill level, you look incredibly young to have so much stuff and knowledge. My kids were in 4H and FFA and you remind me of a bunch of kids I knew from those days, keep up the hard work
I find it so amazing that you do so many projects yourselves. You’re brave and not afraid to learn. It’s really freaking epic you can’t mill your wood instead of running to the lumber yard when you’re doing a new project. You’re both ambitious and are fascinating to watch! Thank you for sharing❤❤❤
I think you are getting the hang of doing concrete. Was the right call to pull the forms and work it even though you were tired and hungry. Can't believe it rained..
You guy's are awesome, I'm nearly 60 😢, and would have loved to achieved anything that you guys have done 😕congratulations your family will be so proud 👍, loving you guy's from Wales UK 🏴
I used to work for a firm that had treetrunks delivered, we then had a giant saw, man riding on it, that cut the trunks into planks, they were then air dried, then put into an old lorry container that was heated which brought the wood down to interior wood use. Because we also did flooring, the planks were then dried further to 8-10% moisture content. Containers are great for drying wood.
Cant wait to see what products u come up with for your new company. Keep up the good work and great videos. The i fix it. Kit I won during fix it Feb is doing well just used it to tear down my fishing reels and lube and oil them up. Love watching your channel
Looks great! If you don't like the broom finish in the shower you could always use tile to spruce it up. But it may not match the rest. Just a thought.
I like that, at the end. " Baby is coming, and we don't to let you down. Sorry for the short video but we have to save some for when the baby does com." I recently found your channel and I love it. hey guys love the out door shower im from the UK and when people build theres here they make or buy a wooden slat stand on floor being about 1 or 2 inches off the top of the concrete floor to stand on instead of standin on the rough concrete floor use a good quality wooden stain to finish it off cant wait to see it all finished
if your unhappy with the texture of the slab you could alway make/aquire a raised shower mat. pretty much just made of wood slats thats elevated a bit to keep you from standing on the floor/in possible standing water. seem to be made of bamboo alot but im sure you could make it out of any kinda of treated wood. just a thought. great video
If the floor isn’t up to par for you. I would go look for some 1x1 glass tile. The type that come in sheets. Maybe in a blue or “water” tone and tile the floor. It would look cool and act as a conversation piece
I've notice you haven't used a sponge to smooth out the cement while trying , spraying some water with a spray bottle then paying a sponge made for cement finishing will give you a nicer finished look..great jobs love your projects, just started watching today ..will like and subscribe..
It's been a while since I worked at a sawmill but I think the log is supposed to be laid on top and not on the ground behind the mill. 🙂 Good luck on the new endeavor.
G'day you 2.3, greetings from down under. You're getting good at the C'ment thing. We may have to start calling you "Con" (concrete)😊 Regards Wayne 🦘🇦🇺
Concrete cement can harden in your lungs and stay there for years. Which can cause long term damage. Btw concrete gets harder underwater than above. The hydrogen in the water causes the cement to harden, not warm temps or drying.
If I may suggest - even as we pull back manufacturing and sourcing from China, not everything will be coming back to the 48 lower States. If you continue to have issues sourcing strictly from the US, consider "North America" (US+ Canada +Mexico) for your needs.
I have nothing against foreign products, just domestic products being sent to foreign countries is frustrating. In fact, many foreign products are superior to domestic ones.
Congratulations on almost 200k subscribers! I just started my own channel recently about 100 subscribers so far… please share any tips! Also, I just subscribed!
It has been shockingly difficult to find materials even as simple as Leather or Belt buckles made 100% in the USA. There are only a handful of tanneries still in the USA and well the hardware has gone almost entirely over seas. I am pleased to say that I have been able to source all parts of our belts and packaging from the USA. I hope to iron out the details and supply issues soon and make them available.
@@Woodbrew I prefer snaps, simple and have never had a problem. My belt wears down from my tape measure and I’ve always wanted a custom belt with a re enforced section for a tape.
Suggest that the stakes that you use to hold the forms be sized so they are not above the forms. That way you do not have work Aron’s when screeding and floating. Also, do not add water to the mix after you pour it. It will weaken the top layer which will eventually flake it off.
I wish I could make it through a video but it's getting harder. They always start out great but then devolve into a deeper and deeper southern drawl. I can't make it to the end!!

For the “chip”, get a grinding wheel for concrete, and find it smooth. Then do the same to the other corner there in the front to match.
👊
Once it has set up, you can go back and add a skin coat to anything that needs fixed.
Might have to! At least for the floor
I didn't see you stamp your names in any of the concrete so far. How come? I think it would be sweet. Love your videos. Thanks!

Will the belts take belt buckles?
Absolutely. Still deciding between using snaps or “Chicago Screws” to fasten the buckle with. The buckle will be removable.

Not that close anymore
Where I’m from there’s only 24 hours in a day…….
Where’s the rest of the outdoor shower???
Had to be postponed to get the shop done prior to the baby.
You could have put in a 15 foot above ground pool for less.
