She's not Liz's mother. There is a scene where she talks to one of her associates where she tells him that she knew if she could convince Liz she was her mother, Liz would help her against Reddington. There is also another scene where it shows how Reddington made the people who were chasing Katarina to believe that Petrova was Katarina.
I believe they just didn't want to spoil that reveal like you did...

@@TalkToSamsonThere's no reason to expect that everyone and their mother watched the show when it came out.
There's no reason to ruin it for people who might watch it one day, it only hurts the show by now making people not want to watch it, which in turns lowers the chance of similar shows coming in the future.

More telling is when she said "All those years searching for answers and you were right in front of me the whole time." The answers she was looking for was where was Katarina and why was Petrova set up to fake Katarina's death? And the answer to that was Katarina was Red the whole time.

My thing is, if red knew who petrova is and who is katarina then WHY DID HE KISSED HER WHEN THEY FIRST MEET AGAIN (at older age) ?
Because they had been friends for 30 years. Red had been looking after Petrova and helping her since he learned Dom and Ivan tried to kill her to make it look like Katarina had died.

So now there making as Redington is actually a woman and her mother. Why and proof on this i dont know if i want to continue im at where Redington is in jail. But we were at where katatrina comes in as her mom when we got hooked or saw it in tv so wanted to watch it from beginning.but not sure about this Redington is mom
It doesnt change his personality at all whether or not he is her mother. It's still the same magnificient character with the same personality. Stop acting so conservative. I liked Season 9 and especially the last episodes of the series, except the ending.

There is no proof and the show never says that Red is Katarina, that's just a persistent fan theory that those fans try to pass off as fact. The show has a lot of misdirection, and those fans use anything to fit their theory.
Katarina has the archives not this imposter. And since of course Redington is Katarina, then we all know that he set her up to be the katharina. Lots of body swaps, katarina became Reddington, and Petrova became katarina. So now this redington, AKA Katerina in disguise, is n13. Although she he no longer does spying for any governments.

Some fans will never stop promoting their mere fan theory that "Red is Katarina" as if it was fact. The show never says Red is Katarina, and that doesn't even make sense for it to be.

The show is built on secrets, misdirections and double speak, from which one can gain a lot of actually logical explanations. You Redarina fans even absurdly claim that what Red whispered to Kirk, which the show never showed or said, was that he was Katarina.
