i havent heard this album but lace up was my ish. My now seven year old son who was approx 3-4yrs during the release of lace up was in love with wild boy. i heard him singing it one day and decided to go check out the song. I ultimately decided i didnt want him listening to it, but his favorite rappers at the time was DMX (the legend) and Waka Flocka so it had me questioning myself as to what i was allowing him to listen to. I instantly fell in love with the lyrics myself and decided to go check out more of his music and fell in love with the realness of his words. He spoke of his life, aspirations, and deepest darkest thoughts and secrets. That's music! If this album is still on that realness and not caught in the industry money, woman, cars, and clubs bullcrap i know I'll love it. Back to my son though, I allow him to listen to MGK. As long as the lyrics arent speaking on genitals i dont mind him listening to hip-hop. He at his age is more intelligent than most 50yr olds, so his understanding of lyrics and meaning, what to do with it, where to take it, and what to take from it is phenomenal. As someone who once performed in the hip-hop industry i feel that it is an outlet to exercise the right of freedom of speech. It's poetry put to music. MGK do your thing, bear your soul, and say what you'd love to say but feel as if you'd be misunderstood if relayed a different way,
