You should check the live version from Cologne in 1998, MTV filmed it back then and it's available on YT. The moment when the crowd picks up to sing the chorus is just priceless!
I was so surprised to realise I haven't heard much from them! I went and looked at their songs, and the only two I recognise are "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough". I'm planning to do more, and should hopefully get to "Stripped" as well at some point! Thank you for watching :)
Sorry about the late reply-! But yes, I reallllly loved 'Enjoy the Silence'! Especially the live concert I reacted to after watching the official video in the same video :D
DM are known as "synth Gods". I can tell from your reaction that you are well on the way to becoming a DM devotee as so many people are. They have a huge catalogue and their songs and videos are always deep and meaningful. You will fall in love with the voices of Dave and Martin. This music will change your life. Good luck ...
Thank you mate, I can't wait hear more! It is such a great sound. I did record "World in my eyes" today, but unfortunately it was copyright blocked, I'm appealing it however, so hopefully it will eventually be public :)
DM are rock without guitars. Thank god. Ok there’s the occasional 5 second guitar riff repeated ad nauseum but no squealing guitars, no showoff, pretentious drummer and no screeching lead “singer”. This song is my fave ever song. The production for 1987 is incredible. Count how many layers there are, if you can hear them. Then listen as more and more are added as it slowly builds, and keeps building until just before the fade-out. And they’re all complementary and clever. That’s ALL down to Alan Wilder, who clearly loved this song and kept tweaking and adding to it. The sounds and the arrangement are unequalled. I never care about lyrics but it incidentally also has good lyrics.
DM is my all time favorite!! Enjoy discovering all their amazing songs!! Behind The Wheel, Personal Jesus, Enjoy the Silence, World In My Eyes… just to name a few! 😊
Thank you for the suggestions! I cannot believe I grew up listening to similar bands and songs, yet somehow missed Depeche Mode almost entirely?! I went and looked, and turns out all I have heard by them before would be "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough". Can't wait to get into more, have a heap of their songs on my list to react to :) Thank you for the support :)
Haha, well I am glad you enjoyed it :) I have always listened to music way older than I am, but somehow Depeche Mode must have slipped by, as I only know "Just can't get enough" and "strangelove"... So I am so excited to listen to more :) Thank you for watching!
I so agree. My grandparents played Cab Calloway, Benny Goodman, Django Reinhardt, Hank Williams Sr, and many others for me and those artists formed a beautiful foundation for my musical appreciation. I play them for my grandchildren. A legacy...
DM were some of the originators of synth in the 80s. Massive influence on later synth bands. This is one of their most popular songs from 1987. Anything of the Music for the Masses album is solid. Strongly recommend Strangelove and Behind the Wheel off that album. (You MIGHT have heard Strangelove on the radio). The song itself is about drug addiction. That's the "friend" who he hopes will never let him down again.
Yeah, I have heard StrangeLove before, and know it pretty well! As for Behind the Wheel, I did actually react to it, but it has been copyrighted and blocked, but I think it should be public tomorrow or the next day, once the issue is resolved :) Thank you for the support and information!

Good reaction!
Thank you for the support and information! 🙂 Glad I got the message correct. Pretty much as soon as I heard DM in this first reaction, I instantly realised that Strangelove and Just can't get enough are the two songs I already know! So I'm incredibly honoured to listed to more :)
Thanks for replying to my post. I think it would be useful for you to look into the lives of the band members to get a feel for what they have experienced, and how these experiences have influenced their music over time. Thank you so much :) Now that you've mentioned it, I think it would definitely be a good idea! I'll try and find some interviews when I wake up, as I really enjoy the music so far. I did "World in my eyes" yesterday, and "I feel you" today, but unfortunately both have been copyrighted, and won't be up for a couple days while I try to fix the ban. So hopefully they'll be public soon :) Music definitely heals the soul, couldn't agree more! In fact, I've dedicated my life to music at this point, as it has helped me so much with some of the darker moments I've had. Thank you for the support :) I really appreciate it, and will make sure to do some research 🙂
DM were pioneers in synth and industrial music, you will experience all kinds of instruments and unique sounds, almost each song has something new to experience. Their lyrics are beautiful, romantic, and tragic all rolled into one tumultuous package! I hope you’ve been able to do a deep dive into them! They take you on a journey for sure!
I can definitely understand what you mean. From what I have been told by others, they basically are pioneers of this synth, electronic sorta sound. The only comparable thing I can really compare the sound to is something like... "I ran (So far away)" By A Flock Of Seagulls, or perhaps heavier electronic bands from the 90s like The Prodigy. Either way! They sound amazing, and I plan to do lots more :) Thank you for watching!
Thank you so much :) Sure thing! I have a lot of songs recommended to me at the moment for Depeche Mode, so I'm not sure when I will get around to "fly on the windscreen", but It will definitely be out soon :) I will try to do a lot more!

It is honestly such an amazing song, I have re-listened to it around 12 times since i released the video haha. I plan to do "world in my eyes" as my next reaction to them, and I will also add the other two suggestions onto my list, as I currently have around 12 Depeche Mode songs recommended for me to do by others :) Thank you for the support!
Oh wow... I am really surprised I never really listened to them in that case. I only know "strangelove" and "Just can't get enough", so I am really excited to listen to more by them, as this is the sort of music I grew up listening to despite my age! I plan to do a lot more :) At the moment, I have around 15 Depeche Mode songs recommened to me, which I intend to work my way through haha. Thank you for watching :)
Depeche Mode started in the early 80's. You are correct. This song is from 87'. Depeche Mode is considered synth-pop and alternative rock. You probably have heard their songs "Just Can't Get Enough", "Enjoy the Silence", or "Personal Jesus."
Ah I see, glad I was not totally wrong 😅 I had a look at their songs, and I believe the only ones I know are "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough", I don't think I've ever heard of "Enjoy the silence" (despite it being their biggest hit I believe), or "Personal Jesus". Maybe I will recognise them when I hear them, but name alone... I don't think so :) Really surprised me considering how much rock and music similar to this style that I listen to - so I'm definitely glad that I'm finally exposing myself to them! Thank you for watching :)
Depeche Mode is an alternative, electronic, synth, industrial rock band. They’re masters at using everyday items and sounds to create imaginative songs that take you on an emotional ride. I recommend checking out Blasphemous Rumours and Shake the Disease where these types of sounds are on full display. Plenty of bands used synths in the 80’s. Depeche Mode is and always will be my favourite. This song is from Music for the Masses, the same as Strangelove. Recommend checking out Nothing from this album. Highly recommend checking out songs from their 101 live album in Pasadena. It was amazing. Best concert tour I’ve ever been to.
Thank you for the information :) I went and had a look at their songs, and I realised that I know "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough" already, but I plan to react to a lot more by Depeche Mode! I will add your suggestions onto my list, as I currently have around 13 songs recommended to me by Depeche Mode haha. But rest assured, I will make sure to do lots more, including you recommendations :) I'll make sure to check out the live albumt too! It sounds amazing, and I always love checking out concerts! Thank you once again, for your support :)
Martin - "I wrote this song last March. And it was such a long time ago that I cannot say much about it anymore. But you're wrong [about the song because about my girlfriend], the song has nothing to do with relationships. It's about the concept of fleeing from reality and the evil awakening afterwards. Any kind of fleeing. Drugs, alcohol, or whatever." Martin - "There was one instance regarding 'Never Let Me Down Again' when two separate people came up to me after a show one night and said, "I really like that song". One of them thought it was a gay anthem and the other one thought it was a drug anthem. They both loved the song, so that's fine by me." So common theme is drugs but that's not how everyone sees it.
Ah, so I suppose I got it mostly right with drugs, but it can possibly be open ended and up to what the listener wants to interpret it as- 🤔 I suppose let everyone think what they want, as that is the power of good music :)
Yep, it’s a song about drug use. They are an electronic synth-pop band that were very influential in the 80s/90s and in the club scene. I always loved the combination of vocals from David Gahan and Martin Gore. That gave them a unique sound.
Ah glad I got it right 😊 I absolutely adore this sound. I don't know why exactly, but for me, the song reminded me a lot of Duran Duran, or another well-known electronic band from the 90s that I love, The Prodigy. I'm surprised I never listened to them before though... As this sort of music is what I have been listening to my whole life, perhaps my parents just never exposed me to them. Either way, I'm glad that i got to do them! Really sounded beautiful and unique!
@@TheToaster1155 and yes, Strangelove was a pretty big club hit. I think you would also like Enjoy the Silence, World in My Eyes, Policy of Truth, I Feel You, and one of their more recent songs Wrong has an interesting video.
Yeah, I went back and listened to Strangelove, and it was definitely the one I was thinking of that I've heard. I also never realised Depeche Mode sung "Just can't get enough", which I 100% have heard on the radio a million times 😅 I plan to do "World in my eyes" next, as someone else has also recommended that to me. Thank you for the suggestions! I'll add them onto my list and will do them when I'm able to as well :)
Surprised to still discover people barely knowing anything about Depeche, this is such a classic as well. In one sense it's not that strange since public radio rarely play their songs but still. Are there others like you sir? ;)
Haha, yeah I surprised myself to since this sort of genre, along with rock are the only stuff I used to listen to. I had a look at their songs, and the only two that I KNOW for a fact that I have heard are "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough", so I am really excited to hear more soon :) Let's just hope there are more people such as myself that will listen to this sort of music for the rest of their lives! Thank you for the support, I really appreciate it!
Depeche Mode was the music of my youth and will be the music till I'm dead. The sounds, the songs, the visuals, the depth, the animalistic sexuality ... and them's just the tip of the iceberg.
Haha, every song I hear by them fuels me with some sort of emotion, and they always have something interesting to sing about. Every song I do excites me more and more to continue 😅 Just have to sort out the copyright issues that keep blocking the songs. Thank you for watching 🫡
Waiting for the night to fall. I already loved the song from Violator, then I went to the concert, in a huge venue, Stockholm Globe Arena. I had standing space. They cranked it up until the handrail literally shook.
I favor rock as well but I'd call DM electronica. 😂lol, it's gen X, of course it's drugs 💊💊 It's funny to me how Millennials, gen Z and alphas don't automatically know it's drugs! Ahhh. 😂 such different times.
DM always play this song on there tours, it is a song that the whole crowd gets involved at the end when Dave gets the whole crowd to do the waving of the hands especially on the 101 tour at The Rose Bowl. The song "Personal Jesus" and "Enjoy The Silence" are ther top tops to hit the Biillboards, If you like the rock sound DM changes ther sound and look during the mid 90's/ "I Feel You" definaetly is a more hard hitting synth sound i reccomend trying
Oh I never realised that. I honestly assumed "Just can't get enough" would of been their biggest hit, as I went back and recognized it as a song that the radio played over and over again when I was a kid haha. I honestly love both the synth style, as well as rock, so I plan to check out a lot more regardless! I will add your suggestions onto my list though! Definitely plan on doing more :) Thank you for the support!
If you go back and look at live performances from their very first days in the early 80s, you will see a reel to reel tape player front and center on stage. What they were saying to the critics was the technology has not been developed yet to create some of the synth sounds you are hearing in the song live. Get over it. They developed edgier looks and sounds over their early years but deep down inside they are technology nerds like the rest of us.
Oh wow, I felt like I honestly recognized a little bit of Led Zepellin in the song! So it is cool to see that they actually did sample. Though It kind of surprises me... As I always thought Led Zepellin was pretty strict about other people sampling or using their music. Either way, thank you for the cool information! :)
If you want to go old school I recommend The Band, maybe The Weight or I Shall be Released. Just for your listening pleasure. Wouldn't tell you what to react to. This reaction definitely took me back in time. My hair was so big.
Thank you for the recommendations :) I will definitely check them out, as old school rock and music in general will always be my favourite music to listen to, and I don't believe I have heard a song by The Band before. Thank you for the support! I may listen to a song by them, and if I like it enough, I don't see any reason for me not to react to more :) Haha, well I'm glad the video brought some memories back for you!
Ty for the DM reaction...fan here since 1983...check out their live version of this song from either Rose Bowl 101 concert tour or Devotional tour...also crecendo and all that big layered sound brought to you by Alan Wilder and Bascombe...check out Stripped✌️loved your reaction!😀
I also recommended Recoil to him, I am currently working on a track simillar to the sound from Unsound Methods, although I am not that talented as Alan is xD
Thank you, really appreciate it 🙂 It's no worries at all! I love rock and anything like this honestly. It surprised me when I realised that I didn't know many of their songs! I had a look and believe I only know "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough", so I'm really happy to explore them more :) The layering was amazing, its something I miss a lot in modern rock- Will definitely check out "Stripped" soon! I think I have promised some other songs first, but will make sure I get around to Stripped as soon as I can! Thank you for the support 🙏
😅 I'm really proud of myself for getting it haha! Thank you so much, I really appreciate the support 🙏🙂 I loved the song so much, and have heaps of Depeche Mode songs that I'm going to react to now 😋
I like DM a lot and especially music from the 80s. I don't like rock that much, but if you're looking for a killer rock song from the 80s then listen to Van Halen "why can't this be love"
I really enjoy the synth, electronic sort of sound from DM, so I'm surprised I missed them honestly, as I grew up listening to music like this, despite my age. Haha, but unfortunately, I already know "Why can't this be love" super well... It is honestly one of my all-time favourite songs from the 80s :) But it is cool to see that you enjoy such an amazing rock song such as that too! Thank you for your support :)
(I'm sorry for my English) Hi. Thanks for Depeche Mode reaction. DM are New Wave pioneers. They play different styles. Try Photographic and Tora Tora Tora(dark Song) 1981. Same album with Just can't get enough. Very catchy electronic music.
No problem at all, you're fine :) I loved them, and they definitely strike me as genre pioneers! I will add your suggestions to my list, as I have quite a few Depeche Mode songs so far that people want me to do :) Love electronic music from this era though! Just can't get enough will always get stuck in my head for days on end after hearing it on the radio :)
Back in 1987, the „Rockers“ would have killed you for calling Depeche Mode „Rock“ ;-) Back then, rock music had to be played on guitars, and Depeche Mode were the complete antidote to this traditional and boring attitude. Biggest alternative rock band of that time, sounded like nothing else and miles ahead of their time. New album will be out next week btw and the two pre-released songs both sound amazing!
Haha, yeah I figured that out soon afterI realeased the reaction. I suppose nowadays everything sounding even remotely Rock, is considered as just "rock music". But I believe Depeche Mode stands out enough to be considered as a groundbreaking "Alternative rock/electronic" band, as they seem to have really laid out the foundations for heavy synth music! I'm really excited to hear they have new content coming out soon! And I'm sure I will eventually check it out :) Thank you for the support! I really appreciate it 😊
Thank you for the reaction! Please do "World In My Eyes" next. DM uses a lot of samples, and the drums in this song are a sample from New Order and Led Zepellin, the orchestra at the end is also a sample.
No problem! Now that you've mentioned it, I knew I heard some sort of Led Zepellin sound in the song! 😅 I'll make sure "world in my eyes" is next! Sorry I got to Depeche mode a little late. If I'm being totally honest- I kinda forgot to add them to my list when you mentioned them 😅 I will attempt to have the second reaction to them up in probably... 3 days, as I have some reactions that I promised people to get done beforehand! Thanks for the support and recommendation! Absolutely loved the song. It was so good to hear a new rock song after all this time 🙏😅
I like how you are reacting to different genres and era's, a couple maybe you can react to if you haven't heard the songs,...radiohead - paranoid android and stereophonics - Mr.writer.
Thank you :) I've always loved finding new music and genres, since I grew up mainly listening to 80s rock, and I am open to pretty much anything as of now. I have only heard Creep by Radiohead honestly, so I will gladly give both of your suggestions a reaction once I am able to :) Thank you for the support!
Depeche Mode are Dave Gahan (Vocals), Martin Gore (Songwriter, Vocals, Synths, Guitars), Alan Wilder (Synths, Sounddesigner), Andrew Fletcher (Synths). By many points the BIGGEST band on this planet!! You should get deeper into it….
Thank you for the information! I definitely plan to do a lot more. I believe I have around 10 songs on my list that people want me to do by them haha, so I'm going to try and get another one out soon, hopefully tomorrow, or worst case scenario the next day! I have definitely heard the band name before, and I believe I have heard of Alan Wilder before as well... So I'm really excited to listen to more by them, this is the music I grew up on despite my age :) Thank you once again, for your support :)
Great reaction. 'In Your Room' (single version) and 'Walking in my Shoes' have a bit more of a rock feel. Generally, their music is more alternative synth based. You have 40 years of their music to choose from. I recommend you react to the tracks above or 'It's No Good' is also a great track from DM. They're great live too, so 'In Your Room' or 'Rush' from the Devotional tour would also be great reaction options.
Thank you so much :) Ah I suppose I was confusing the genre, as a lot of people seem to be labelling them as rock (maybe because to them, every song from the 80s like this is considered rock haha), but I honestly really love the synth, alternative sound! I plan to do a lot more, in fact, at the moment i have around 14 songs recommended to me by Depeche Mode. So I will end up working my way through all of those, including the ones you have suggested me :) I will try and remember to do a reaction to the live versions too! Perhaps in the same video as the official video. 2 reactions in 1. We'll see haha, but I'll make sure to write myself a note, reminding me :) Thanks once again for the support!
They have never been classified as rock and it even was a thing for them to stay away from making rock music. They started as a pure synth-band and still is a synth-band but they use guitar but never in the same way as a classic rockband and thank god they don't have any guitar solos. Personally I hate guitar solos 🙂 Depeche have always been different to all other bands and that's why they are the best band in the world for me.
Haha I can definitely tell by the name! I suppose nowadays, they probably get referred to as rock, since people generally hear something like this and pin it as classic rock even if it isn't. Guitar solos don't get me as good as they used to, I'm much more into piano solos and the occasional drum solo if it is really good. I can't believe I grew up listening to all this sort of music, and yet never gave Depeche Mode a shot! I looked back, and the only songs I KNOW that I have heard by them before was "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough", So I cannot wait to listen to more! Thank you for watching :)
Sure thing :) I will put it on my list. I will take your advice and start with "As the World Caves In" first, but will definitely get to both songs for you. As of now I'm not sure when I will be able to, as my reaction schedule is a bit full at the moment, but I will try and get it out in 3 - 4 days :) Thank you for the support as usual!
Honestly yeah! I didn't think Synth really made its way into rock music until the mid 90s! So I was happy to hear it! Sure thing, I have a fair few Depeche Mode songs planned, so I will make sure they are both on the list! Thank you for watching :)
You should check the live version from Cologne in 1998, MTV filmed it back then and it's available on YT. The moment when the crowd picks up to sing the chorus is just priceless!
My favorite frrom Depeche Mode is "Stripped". Amazing group, very ahead of it's time it still sounds fresh to me
I was so surprised to realise I haven't heard much from them! I went and looked at their songs, and the only two I recognise are "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough". I'm planning to do more, and should hopefully get to "Stripped" as well at some point! Thank you for watching :)
'Enjoy the silence' is one of my all time favourite songs. The mood is just brilliant.
Sorry about the late reply-! But yes, I reallllly loved 'Enjoy the Silence'! Especially the live concert I reacted to after watching the official video in the same video :D

Watching younger people discovering the music I used to listen to when I was their age is a whole new kind of nostalgia.
Haha, well I am glad you enjoyed it :)

Same! Lovin it!
Martin (songwriter) would often write about his relationship with alcohol.
Oh I see... so unfortunately this must be based on first-hand experiences.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention :)

Haha, thank you! My bad, I suppose I was reaching a little bit with my theory :) Thank you for the support!

They’re inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Check out their catalog…they’re starting their new tour this March and have new music.
Ah I see, glad I was not totally wrong 😅
I had a look at their songs, and I believe the only ones I know are "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough", I don't think I've ever heard of "Enjoy the silence" (despite it being their biggest hit I believe), or "Personal Jesus". Maybe I will recognise them when I hear them, but name alone... I don't think so :)
Really surprised me considering how much rock and music similar to this style that I listen to - so I'm definitely glad that I'm finally exposing myself to them! Thank you for watching :)
Strangelove is on the same album with Never Let Me Down Again, in Misic for the Masses
Nice reaction bro, love the band
Thank you mate, I really appreciate it :)
Can't wait to get into more of the music!
Agreed about the 101 show. Still the best concert I’ve ever been to.
Thank you for the information :)
I went and had a look at their songs, and I realised that I know "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough" already, but I plan to react to a lot more by Depeche Mode! I will add your suggestions onto my list, as I currently have around 13 songs recommended to me by Depeche Mode haha. But rest assured, I will make sure to do lots more, including you recommendations :)
I'll make sure to check out the live albumt too!
Drugs, alcohol, or whatever."
Martin - "There was one instance regarding 'Never Let Me Down Again' when two separate people came up to me after a show one night and said, "I really like that song". One of them thought it was a gay anthem and the other one thought it was a drug anthem. They both loved the song, so that's fine by me."
So common theme is drugs but that's not how everyone sees it.
Ah glad I got it right 😊
I absolutely adore this sound.
I also never realised Depeche Mode sung "Just can't get enough", which I 100% have heard on the radio a million times 😅
I plan to do "World in my eyes" next, as someone else has also recommended that to me. Thank you for the suggestions! I'll add them onto my list and will do them when I'm able to as well :)
@@TheToaster1155 try out "Walking In My Shoes" also, its defo my fav song from them
Sure, I'll put it on the list as well 🔥👍
Surprised to still discover people barely knowing anything about Depeche, this is such a classic as well. In one sense it's not that strange since public radio rarely play their songs but still. Are there others like you sir? ;)
Haha, yeah I surprised myself to since this sort of genre, along with rock are the only stuff I used to listen to. I had a look at their songs, and the only two that I KNOW for a fact that I have heard are "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough", so I am really excited to hear more soon :)
Let's just hope there are more people such as myself that will listen to this sort of music for the rest of their lives! Thank you for the support, I really appreciate it!
Early 80’s, not late. They released Speak and Spell (first album) in ‘81 if I remember right.
😂lol, it's gen X, of course it's drugs 💊💊
It's funny to me how Millennials, gen Z and alphas don't automatically know it's drugs!
Ahhh. 😂 such different times.
Terrific tune this and utterly timeless though I think the definitive version is the original 12 inch mix. Worth checking out.
Completely agree!
I'll try and check it out at some point! Thanks for the tip 🙏
True story: the drums were sampled off a Led Zeppelin song. Not sure which one though.
I may listen to a song by them, and if I like it enough, I don't see any reason for me not to react to more :)
Haha, well I'm glad the video brought some memories back for you!
Thank you, really appreciate it 🙂
It's no worries at all! I love rock and anything like this honestly. It surprised me when I realised that I didn't know many of their songs! I had a look and believe I only know "Strangelove" and "Just can't get enough", so I'm really happy to explore them more :)
The layering was amazing, its something I miss a lot in modern rock-
Will definitely check out "Stripped" soon! I think I have promised some other songs first, but will make sure I get around to Stripped as soon as I can! Thank you for the support 🙏
@@bambosgejming4358 wow wish I could hear your work😀
@@ninawildr4207 well its in very early stage, it might take a lot to finish
yep! its drugs haha! SUBSCRIBED
😅 I'm really proud of myself for getting it haha! Thank you so much, I really appreciate the support 🙏🙂
I loved the song so much, and have heaps of Depeche Mode songs that I'm going to react to now 😋
I like DM a lot and especially music from the 80s.
No problem at all, you're fine :)
I loved them, and they definitely strike me as genre pioneers! I will add your suggestions to my list, as I have quite a few Depeche Mode songs so far that people want me to do :)
Love electronic music from this era though!
And I'm sure I will eventually check it out :)
Thank you for the support! I really appreciate it 😊
Dave sing about
HEROIN
It's sad to hear that... As it seems to be his personal experience as well. Though from what I understand, he is sober now, which is great news
Two different eras - NLMDA - 1987, Dave's near fatal drug overdose 1996.
It was so good to hear a new rock song after all this time 🙏😅
@@TheToaster1155 W
Led Zepellin y New Order?, jajaja
I like how you are reacting to different genres and era's, a couple maybe you can react to if you haven't heard the songs,...radiohead - paranoid android and stereophonics - Mr.writer.
Thank you :)
I've always loved finding new music and genres, since I grew up mainly listening to 80s rock, and I am open to pretty much anything as of now.
So I'm really excited to listen to more by them, this is the music I grew up on despite my age :)
Thank you once again, for your support :)
Thank you so much :)
Ah I suppose I was confusing the genre, as a lot of people seem to be labelling them as rock (maybe because to them, every song from the 80s like this is considered rock haha), but I honestly really love the synth, alternative sound!
They started as a pure synth-band and still is a synth-band but they use guitar but never in the same way as a classic rockband and thank god they don't
have any guitar solos. Personally I hate guitar solos 🙂
Depeche have always been different to all other bands and that's why they are the best band in the world for me.
Can you react to Driving Just to Drive by Matt Maltese? But if you haven't heard As the World Caves In by him you should listen to that first
Sure thing :) I will put it on my list. I will take your advice and start with "As the World Caves In" first, but will definitely get to both songs for you. As of now I'm not sure when I will be able to, as my reaction schedule is a bit full at the moment, but I will try and get it out in 3 - 4 days :) Thank you for the support as usual!
Surprised Depeche Mode be so synthy..? 😉 Listen to "I feel you" and "Personal Jesus"!
PJ is synthy as hell.
Honestly yeah! I didn't think Synth really made its way into rock music until the mid 90s! So I was happy to hear it! Sure thing, I have a fair few Depeche Mode songs planned, so I will make sure they are both on the list! Thank you for watching :)

Synth/Rock. At first Synth/Pop.
Thanks for letting me know :)
From what I have heard so far... They pretty much made their own genre 😅
Make your bed.
😅 It's not my bed. It's just a spare bed that we only make-up when someone is visiting
