Everyone in the comments is hating on this thing and i wont deny that Tesla still has the most compelling EVs when you factor in the entire portfolio of charging and tech but as someone who doesnt own a tesla now i really like the EQE.
This is an “if Tesla didn’t exist” car, like many legacy automaker EVs. If Tesla didn’t exist, this would be a thrilling offering. But then, if Tesla didn’t exist, legacy automakers would not be making EVs.
I leased this car for a huge discount and it’s amazing. Massage seats, HUD, and ride comfort are fantastic. At least better than the CLS I drove previously. My cousin leased a model 3 CY 2021 and the steering wheel was already starting to peel within 2 years. Build quality hopefully is better in the highland, but he jumped to an electric BMW. Bottom line is…trust what gjeebs is telling you. This is actually a great car. No manufacturer has a “perfect” car, and almost all EVs at this price depreciate crazy. Either through the market forces or because of Elons whims.
EQE exploded in South Korea yesterday. Chinese Battery Supplies are troublesome as well. Manufacture should indicate where their Batteries are Supplied.
Mercedes missed the boat COMPLETELY with the design on their electric range. Absolutely disgusting and inexcusable. My buddy works at MB and said they are SITTING
I am a ways from being done with my 21 Model S but I am seriously liking the new Mecan Turbo from Porsche. I am going to test drive one when it gets here in Nov. The EQE, gotta have the complete front digital dash of the EQS.
@@Gjeebs how was the overall ownership experience? The only thing that scares me about Mercedes, Audi, BMW or Porsche ownership is the service and repair costs. My Aunt owns a Q8 and her service and repair costs plus parts availability is a concern.
I prefer any Tesla than this car. Tesla Model X has 670 to 1020 HP. It can do 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. Much much more than this MB. The X Plaid is only 77990$. Much cheaper and better.
Mercedes is definitely doing a lot of things right on their new EV's. The one thing they are completely failing on is the interior. Did a blind guy design that?
Ditching Tesla just for a week to test drive an EQE, but picking up your Tesla right back to keep it for a long while, right? A well-equipped FSD Tesla model S AWD costs $10,000 less than your test-driven EQE that lacks even front seat ventilation.
All that amazing tech inside something shaped like a suppository…. 😂
I'll stick to a long range Y and the extra $30k
Lots of add ons to a MYLR can be had for $30k
Go and check the resail value of these cars, you can find them for only $52K or so with just 9,000 miles on them. You'd be a fool to buy them new.
cooled seats are so underrated
Facts… 100% facts…
Yup
Had it in 09 Cadillac CTS
Would rather get 2 Tesla😅
Get an used one. Saw a 2023 with 1K miles for $59K. That’s a lot of depreciation!

Love to see you try other cars besides Tesla.
Nooooooooooooooo junk Mbz nooooooo.
Mercedes is Trying! Maybe in 10 years they will be nose to nose with Tesla! I want to see Mercedes install a massive charging network!
Hump and lack of cargo space courtesy of it being made on a shared platform.
the AC thing is very German I think... my VWs have been the same way, either blasting my face frozen, or im burning in this PHX sun
Any maintenance will bend you over…
No maintenance
No maintenance? Do you know how cars work? All cars require maintenance, whether you know of them or not is a different thing.
Seems a fine EV. IF I wished to buy one, I'd wait 02 yrs and get it for $30K
This eqe suppose to be a large car. Does 3 adults fit at the backseat?
No thanks, ill stick with Teslz.
How does someone look at the side profile of this car and think it looks good?
The Cost is Ridiculous…I’ll pass! 😂😂😂😂
Mercedes missed the boat COMPLETELY with the design on their electric range. Absolutely disgusting and inexcusable. My buddy works at MB and said they are SITTING
Let me know when all the non Tesla’s have the built in NACS and then we can talk about it.
German engineering is still the best!
Awesome video! Really enjoyed it
Mercedes EV AMG, one man, one battery.
The Germans always get you on the options.
how many "matic" names can Mercedes get in their cars!
whats the brand of the shades?! is it an Oakley model?
Maui Jim, I have them linked in the description under amazon links
great, thank you
I'll stick with my 2 Teslas for the money. Model y and 3. lol No thanks. And stick with the most reliable software. lol
MBTex=Vegan leather
I was out at 27s. That thing is just not worth it. I won’t make any further comments.
Mercedes ditching EVs altogether lol
I’m out, no cooled seats!
288hp. My ebike has more power than that.
$97k. 😂😂😂
lol isn’t Benz and bmw pulling out of evs lol this car be worth less then half in 12 months
97k ? I rather get a Plaid.
Sorry but paddle shifter regenerative braking is the dumbest thing on EV’s.

I was a huge fan of the Macon s I owned. I think I still like the gas variant over their ev offering but we will see

Dont ever use sonroof on german cars. Its a fortune to fix…
The passenger seat is shaking. 2:50
and the steering wheel is shaking at the highway speed 3:45.
That's the camera
4 matic, electric😂
Ridiculous price. More money than brains.
Much better customer service with Mercedes. Tesla it’s hard to deal with
Yea at least with Mercedes you can easily talk to someone knowledgeable

X Plaid starts at 92,990.
And Mercedes just this year closed out its EV division. I was looking at the EQE suv, so glad I went with MY
I got to 7 and 1/2 minutes and couldn’t take it! It’s like a 2012 Tesla model S with a Mickey Mouse Charging Network! Shame on Mercedes!
I have not felt I needed a sunshade in my M3LR. I hear people say the sunlight bothers them but I hardly notice it.
Oh yawn!
Dude, no! Tesla is the best
I own 2 of them
@@Gjeebsgood man
Noooooooo say it ain’t so.
Don't worry. He'll be back🤣
Poor choice
We’re still doing “porsh”? Still?

Just think next year you will be able to get this exact car for 45k. One of the worst depreciating vehicles in the market today.
No no no.
Sounds like payed advertising 😢
I have never been paid by a manufacturer. Anytime I say nice neutral things people say this. I would also have to disclose that
@@Gjeebs possible... But it sounds like... Maybe your tone or choice of words ..
