- We found the real life Bedrock in Arizona! Join us for a visit to Bedrock City, a Flintstones themed amusement park that feels weirdly abandoned and left to decay, but is still incredibly cool, nostalgic, fun and heartwarming! Yabba-Dabba-Dooooooo - meet the Flintstones and walk through the town of Bedrock with us!
As part of our April 2024 cross-country road trip, we visit this place we've always wanted to see, and almost didn't get to as it nearly closed forever! We bring you along as we explore the weathered sets, a relic of a bygone era, and Fred, Wilma, Barney, and Betty's homes, the school house, jail house, and rides including a Dinosaur slide and a prehistoric see-saw. From there, we cruise down scenic Route 66 as we head into Nevada. Including a delicious pit stop at a classic diner in Williams, Arizona. Along the way, we encounter breathtaking mountain views and unreal skies as we cross from NV to AZ, before arriving in Las Vegas and unveiling our stunning room with a Vegas Strip view at Park MGM! Stay tuned for our Vegas adventures in the next vlog! Hope you're having a yabba-doo time with us!

Yabba dabba doo!!
You know, They should restore, preserve and protect places like that for generations to come.
I would agree if not for the fact that these things were great for when they were popular but if we kept all stuff from 80 years ago and plus there would be no place for newer stuff for the next generations. In truth that place once had thousands upon thousands every day and well the Flintstones started in the 1960s and the last new episode of anything was the Flintstone live action movie from 2001. The last attempt to bring the franchise into newer generations was a giant failure and it was 23 years ago. This franchise was for when the Baby Boomer generation was kids and even though I sort of liked the show as a kid I have to admit its a product of its time which reality is the Flintstones and Jetsons and Josie and the Pussycats and other ancient cartoons are really really old and outdated. These shows were great in their time but they have not aged well. The reality is no one wants to go to these things because they are seriously outdated and run down and well they are not appealing to millennials let alone younger generations and the generation they were designed for stopped liking the franchise when they turned teens. The Flintstones was the definition of throw money at it until it fully dies. It was not that appealing to kids its just that older generations throw it into people's faces constantly demanding younger generations enjoy it and when younger generations had the ability to chose what they watched they flipped the channel to something else because for as much work that went into the franchise its pretty fucking garbage. Lets be honest the franchise did not age well at all.
@@jordancambridge4106WHAT A WORTHLESS LITTLE TWIT
And who exactly is “they” that will take responsibility (financially and otherwise) for this effort ?
Most def should iconic tbh
They probably would if there was enough interest… most kids today have no idea who the Flintstones and Bedrock are.
I was 12 in 1978 and my family and I were driving from L.A. to Colorado to visit my grandparents. As we drove through Flagstaff I saw the signs for Bedrock/Flintstone land. I begged my mom and dad to go but they said no. I was soooooo bummed out. (still am) Great to finally see it....
I want ti go toooo
I was 14 in 1978
Same thing happened to me, it was 1980. BUT when I grew up and had kids, guess what?? I took my own kids there!
I bet it was even nicer back then
@@kayakinggrandmakelly7105that’s the way 💪🏾
I was a huge fan of the flinestones growing up … and I still watch them up til this day 😊
Me 2😂😂
Yabba dabba doo
same here
Great memories! I'm 64 years old and we were there when I was7. It was awesome.
They should renovate Fred and Barney's houses and rent them out as air BnB's, and it would bring be cool to be used as a camp site.
It looks like a very col place for families to visit.
We went as kids! They used to have a mine train that would drive around that track and take you through the volcano! It was as empty back then as it is now! Just before it closed with the previous owners, my wife and I went here because I wanted to show her what we had experienced as kids, and after telling the clerk at the ticket counter that we had come to the park years ago, she said, “Well, it hasn’t changed. So it’s gonna be just like your memories.” 🤣
My husband and I Took our 2 boys to the Grand canyon and on our way we stoped at the Flinstones Town. We all loved it 3 years ago now. Took many pictures and videos! And we also got the chance to hold and fly a Falcon! Great experience ❤❤
Oh my, My family & I stopped at Bedrock in the 70's on our vacation to the grand Canyon. It was fun. Thanks for the memories.
I visited this stop years ago and am happy to see that it is still around!!! Bedrock City makes you feel like a kid again ❤
My bucket list for sure.....love, love, love everything Flintstones.
I grew up on the Flintstones and they are still on TV, Sunday mornings for about 2 hours. Love the show. Happy to see this exists.
When I was little I drove through AZ to California with my parents. This was the late 1970s and we went to the Flintstone place. It was in its heyday. I remember crawling through that snake. They also used to have characters walking around. We have a photo of me with someone dressed like Fred Flintstone. I remember a ton of other kids running around. I hope they can restore it more. It's a cool place.
Hello my name is Zina- I’m home sick from work today staring at the TV and letting RUclips go where it goes and your video popped up and I immediately sat up on the couch and was transported back to being 16 years old in October 1979! My family was on our yearly vacation and we had decided to go to Arizona and Las Vegas. October was a perfect time of year for that area. It was still like 75-80°. As a teenager, I was a little bored on that trip with my little sisters, but I had to come out of my mopey teenager self when we pulled in to see BEDROCK. I made a huge scrapbook about that trip that year and I have four huge pages with photos and souvenirs taped inside. I even have a lava rock from the volcano “Mount Saint Wilma” taped in there. If I ever get to the container it’s packed in I will take some photos of those pages and send them to you.
Thank you for transporting me back in time a half hour it was fun❣️
My favorite Flintstone memory is the kitchen sink with the trunk of the mammoth washing the dishes. Lol!
I was a teenager in the 70s, and road trips were a big thing. There was lots of Jellystone Parks, Bedrock Parks, Dinosaur Parks, and other cartoon parks that were set up like this.
I was there in 69. It was great. I still have the pictures of me as a 6 yr old with barney and fred.
This seriously makes me wanna watch the Flintstones right now
While the stops are quirky and a break from the road, I think my favorite time in these on the road videos is when you show the scenery as you are driving. I love seeing the landscape of these states that I have only flown over in a plane to and from NC to California. I really appreciate the variety of adventures and look forward to more in the future. Thanks to Jackie and Sam for letting me tag along virtually.🌵🌴🪴🦕
See, this is exactly what I love too!! I knew there had to be people like me, who love seeing the USA from the ground. The places you'd never see when you fly somewhere. I was in awe driving through all the amazing scenery and so glad I was able to capture and share so much!!
Flash from memory lane- my childhood walk home from school eat lunch then flintstones and run back to school
I have pics from when our family was there in the mid 1980s. It was so much fun. I thought it had been torn down. I'm happy someone came through and restored it. Awwww memories!
My family has been there in the ‘70s. I’m in my early fifties and little memories are coming back like flashbacks. From there, we went to the crater in the Grand Canyon.
I enjoyed the Flinstone’s village, even though it needs a bit of work, it’s still cool that a place like that still exists today. 👍
I enjoyed this from someone who watched them as a child thanks
Its crazy this is still open
I’ve been binge watching the Flintstones on Tubi, brings back memories when Cartoon Network was cool
My family stayed there in 77. Crazy to see it like that!
The chances of me visiting this roadside attraction are slim to none, but thanks to you and Sam, I didn't miss it. Thanks....
I would stop at Bedrock! Even though it was run down , it had that nostalgic charm. It was cool how the scenery changed from barren to Las Vegas! Love following along with you and Sam.
Loving the Cross Country Road Trip Adventure!
Thank you for taking us along! 🤗🤗
Of course the Bedrock buildings are worn and tattered! They're over a million years old! 😉 Glad you guys made it back to Vegas! We love Park MGM. Great series, Jackie!
You’re right, it makes perfect sense!!
So this may be crazy, But going to the Flintstone Park is on my Bucket list. That was my favorite cartoon as a kid. I thought the place was completely closed. So good to see it still somewhat exist. You two are so precious See-Sawing (love how Sam was doing all the work). Maybe they haven't made it to Fred and Barney's house to fix it up. Thank you for sharing that!! Such a fun road Trip.
Jackie & Sam..... just watching the Las Vegas city lights turn on at dusk... is an awesome experience all on it's own. It's the 8th Wonder of the World!! Will never forget........
I went here in 1974. There were no people then either. So hilarious. Nice trip down memory lane for me! Hope you had fun!
Absolutely love it. My all time favorite cartoon and I'm almost 60
The journey has been so thrilling and memorable that I want it to continue forever. 😍🚗
I visited there in 2014 (while on the way back from a road trip to Las Vegas on route 66), and am glad to hear it is still open. I visited the sister location in Rapid City, SD back in 86....which I believe is long gone now.
Iam so happy you filmed this .I grew up watching Flintstones just like every other kid did! We all imagined at one time or another ,we were in Bedrock! I wish they would put some time and money into the place and make it great again .Im sure I would have enjoyed it as much as you two did .Brings back many dreams of mine! Yab a dab a doo!
Yabba Dabba Stay Enthused! ^^ Thankyou for sharing this cool adventure with us ! ^^ Hope you and Sam are having a lovely time ^^
Oh I’ve been wanting to visit here ever since Jenny Nicholson’s video! Thanks so much and I hope you guys are having the best trip ever!
That looks so cool 😎
Awesome video as always Jackie and Sam safe travels
Fun fun day enjoying this road trip lots of great memories. Thank you !!!
I love the animals. Have a great Vegas stay!
I had no idea a place like that existed. So cute! I used to watch the Flinstones as a kid all the time! One of my favorites!
It opened in the mid 70’s…I remember being about six or seven in the mid 70’s and hearing a commercial for the place during a Saturday morning Flintstones show on ABC and they’d have walkaround characters to take pictures with…and I remember I was Quite upset with my parents for refusing to take me there (did NOT understand as a little kid just HOW far Arizona was from upstate New York!)
I did get to go there when my parents and I went to Arizona I think in the mid 70’s. Nice to see its still there.
My parents and i camped there in a Winnebago in 1972! I was 16 years old. 😎❤️🎈❤️😎
I went there back in 1988…Ironically, I mentioned this place to my husband just week!?! Happy to see it’s still open/around. 😊
wow as a flintstone fan this is so cool
That’s so cute the Flinston town..
Yabba Dabba Do Ya! The Brontosorous burger Was the only thing missing. I grew up with the Flintstones! They all lived Foot Fancy and Free! Litterly! Cheers!
My parents stopped there for me when we were on a trip. I remember it was so cool.
Love the video

Thank you. It was a wonderful tour
Hi
I went to Bedrock when it was still Flintstone Village in 2018… I love stuff like that…. ParkMGM is my favorite staycation spot…. I live about 10 miles to the west of there….and since it is hockey playoffs(T-Mobile Arena) Go Knights Go !!! Thanks and be well😊
Yabb a dabba a do !❤️
Great job on video Jackie ❤
The Flintstones town looks cool and great view from your Vegas room.
Congrats on the clean windshield!😁Bedrock city has so much potential for greatness. Betty had seen some things for sure😅. Please reverse the Dinoslide footage, itll be so funny. Sam's hat would fly back on.
Blobby land, oh god the flashbacks, they never stop.
I took my wife and kids there 2 years ago, the best road trip ever
So funny seeing the clip of Luxor knowing Mike and I were chilling in our room reading and watching Spiderman 2 as you filmed that! Welcome to Vegassss!
So funny!!! So you can see the first night I was a piece of burnt toast by the time we got there lol!!! I absolutely konked out! So bummed though because it would have been so cute to see u and to get a pic in Vegas together!!
@@SuperEnthused I knowwww! You poor thing! And it was an early morning for you too. It would have been super cute to get a pic together, but we'll just have to make it happen in Orlando soon instead :)
Thank you for saying Nevada correctly 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I learned from last time haha!
@@SuperEnthused so enjoying this travel series!
Pretty cool. Thanks for posting!
Wow that's a cute roadside attraction. I love the Flintstones when I was a kid. Cartoon Network used to air old classics like the Flintstones. You can still watch it on a streaming platform like Tubi.
Nevada is Spanish for snow or snow fall, so you can say it anyway you want it’s all correct to our ears. Words are just perfectly put together sounds.
My family went there in 1976 when I was 13, and I still remember it. It wasn't much back then either. Fond memories.
Should add more buildings and sites like Fred's workplace,Dino's "doghouse", Fred and Wilma's car, etc.
At least Fred's house had a fireplace, but there's not much than you can burn around. Namastè.
Bedrock city first time seeing from your video thanks for this video! 🙂
5 days since your last VLOG! It was like an Enthused desert! 😂
Haha yea I was having a hard time getting a vid uploaded on the road during that part of the trip but now the vlogs will be flowing fast as we get closer to wrapping up the trip! AN OASIS! Haha.
So cool! I am very surprised that Bedrock didn't have a Bowling Alley. I bet it was really cute when it was new.
See that would have been such a good touch.
I dont want this road trip to end every video is incredible and so fun!! THANK YOU for taking us along!!!
Just found this and thanks! You guys have a way of letting the viewer feel like they are actually there! If you do more of these, look for 'The Thing' in New Mexico.... Truly amazing and not what you'd expect. There is also The World's Largest Prairie Dog in Kansas.... At once the coolest and most ridiculous roadside attraction I have ever been to. Keep having fun!!!!!!
Still here and enjoying the roadtrip. I can’t wait until yall take your usual yearly trip to Gatlinburg. The wife and I go there once a year and love seeing it from other perspectives. Safe travels back.
Omg, in 1978 we went here! I have pictures I have to go find now😀
I use to go there when I was little in the way to the Grand Canyon. There use to be a building there that would show episodes of the Flintstones.
I feel you. That stretch between Kingman AZ and Hoover Dam feels like it goes forever.
Bless you Jackie for stopping at that place. By the looks of it an errand of Mercy.
Those animals were very hungry !!
I thought so too at first but they all looked healthy, well fed, none of them looked skinny at all, and they all had shiny, nice coats and shiny eyes. So that made me feel better.
You guys seem to have so much fun.
We tent camped there a few years ago. Hubby wouldn’t pay to go to back part. We ate at restaurant in there. Used laundry mate too. It was kinda scary at night though hearing sounds of animals out back. We rode Harley from Tennessee to Grand Canyon Route 66. Ground was so hard to sleep on!
My goodness I was there in the early 90’s and it looks the same and we had the place to ourselves too 😂
I’ve been there I grew up watching the the Flintstones and Sedona Az was absolutely beautiful loved all the hiking we did out there also went to the Grand Canyon it was freaking amazing. It was also crazy to find out how many ppl had fallen off the grand canyon some trying to capture that perfect selfie !!!! 👍🏾 Thanks to the couple that took pictures of me proposing to my wife back in 2016 while visiting the Grand Canyon.
Yes we loved the Grand Canyon and Sedona too! Amazing times!!
Another great video my friend
Wow, I am glad it's still there. we live in AZ and went about 6 years ago, and it didn't look that nice.
WOW~!!! LOVED IT~~~~!!!!!
Incredible 💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜💛💜this was cool to see
They should keep it forever because when the stuff gets old it’s going to look like it’s been there for 100 years
Hello Jackie and Sam, fabulous road trip and still more to come. Sending lots of love to you guys and stay enthused!!❤️❤️
The new owners added more stuff! Good job,. Its looking better than before.. there use to be a small ride tho...like a tiny roller coaster....
I like how desolate it is. Looks slightly eerie, but still relaxing.
When I was there in the 80s, Fred's house had a tv with slide pics from the cartoon. Playing. And there was a movie theater that played the cartoon.
This was awesome 👍😎 Makes me want to watch the movie
I have very vague memories of this place when I was very young.
Ha! This looks exactly the way I remember from the early 90’s. Glad they kept the bedrock theme…fun. Thanks for showing…😂
Good morning Jackie happy Wednesday and I just wanted to say that your vlogs is amazing and you are amazing Supporter
Based on this, had to find where the original Flintstones series is streaming! At my age (born in the 60s), never too old to tap into the kid in me.
