You have one of the only reviews that aren't sponsored, i appreciate that you actually bought this yourself and gave us a comparison!

@@MysteriousMatt89 appreciate it. It's been about 2 years I think since I've had it and it's been great. I don't use it all the time, but as a second jack, it's really useful in certain situations. If I had an air compressor always hooked up, I'd use it even more.

I use the vevor air jacks all the time they are way better than a conventional jack and a lot less strain on body.

I attached a pressure gauge to the discharge valve outlet, which already had the threading used to attach the diffuser, so I could see what kind of pressure was actually needed to lift the vehicles. For a van and passenger car, it only needed 40 to 45psi when the wheels got off the ground.
If they have a 140 psi max rating, that should have a lot of margin for any heavy vehicles.
I may just substitute the release valve with the pressure gauge for a more compact arrangement, as the inlet valve can be just as easily used to release the air after disconnecting the air line. The speed of the release is pretty much the same anyway, because the release valve with the diffuser attached is almost the same flow as the open inlet valve at the relatively low pressures.
I'm going to see about adding some nylon runners on the bottom to allow sliding on the concrete while positioning it under the car; I'd rather not scrape off all the paint from it if I can avoid it.
Either that or just put some Masonite or cardboard on the ground to allow it to slide without the scraping.

The tubing actually should not be cut short to fit because the handle is intended to allow it to be disconnected in the middle for transport in a small vehicle. You'll need the slack to allow it to separate the sections and fold over.
If you're sure you'll never need to do this, then you can cut it shorter for a tidier appearance.
When assembling, leave the connection of the two handle sections for last, after connecting the air tube to the control assembly, to avoid the struggle of sliding it onto the compression fitting. That allows for a straight shot to the fitting rather than the angled direction when the tubing is left long.

2:41 I parsed out the intent of the phrase in the instructions to, "inflate the jack to raise, and deflate to collapse"

I have no garage or other concrete surface to work on, so for me the air jack seems a lot easier to use in my uneven back yard. I will probably get the one with adjustable handle and perhaps put larger wheels on it. Thanks for the upload👍

Good review. The pull tab is actually an emergency pressure relief valve.

Oh good to know. I always use it to just get the last bit of air out. Thanks for commenting!

    • @sadfur8728

@@shautohaus if the release valve is open, every last bit of air will be out without pulling the blow off valve, so it shouldn't be necessary to do that.
If I decide to outfit it with a pressure gauge on the release valve, blocking off the outlet port, then I'll use the blow off valve for adjusting the lift pressure while the air line is connected; otherwise I'll just disconnect the air line when I'm ready to let it down, and use the green inlet valve to release the air.

I got one of these jacks a few weeks ago.
i am very happy with it.
Just as a comment, I did not have any trouble fitting the two handle parts together.
Pehaps the one you got had a quality control issue with paint thickness?
The control valves rotate through 180 degees. Thru OFF - ON -OFF.
I turn them to OFF (out) when working and to OFF (in) when storing the jack.

Glad you are enjoying it Charles. Yeah I think you are spot on with the paint. Had to hammer it in to get the two parts together.

Well yeah, it's a pneumatic tool. But you could say that about every pneumatic tool. If you have an air compressor or want to make the investment in one, then this is an option.

Well, he said it at the beginning of the video so it's no surprise to me. Many of us DIYers have a compressor already. I don't think anyone without a compressor will buy this without knowing they need one.

I would think most people that do any serious work on their cars have a compressor already
