      Most actors have rugs and fake hair for movies and going out. It's fine to have a cover up of a flaw. It just seems like a hassle to fix it everyday so if only hair transplants were cheaper gave more hair I would rather wait for something that gave my hair back. I am thin on top but it's not that bad and I am trying now to see if I can save it but I am already considering this.

Now, whether you think it looks "better" or not is completely subjective, but telling men to just "man up" and shave their heads is detrimental to mental health. I'm 21 and I started wearing a hair system this week. I do all of the maintenance myself at home. I started losing my hair at 17. It ruined my life for a few years because I was always that guy who was literally known for his hairstyles. Even my nickname was based on my hair before I started losing it. Now I'm getting back to my old self.

    • @vSpiikey
      @vSpiikey 4 года назад +4

      @5k Food Challenge Once per week altho if I do a bad attachment job I have to take it off sooner. I'm still new to it so will get better at doing it over time. Max you can really go is 2 weeks.
      EDIT: I've been using a hair system for almost a year now and I can stretch it out to 3 weeks, although it feels dirty when I do that. 10-14 days is pretty optimal in my opinion.

    • @vSpiikey
      @vSpiikey 4 года назад +5

      @5k Food Challenge Not at all. It actually smells really good. I use lots of different products to sanitise it and then attach it and they all smell quite strong, but still they're all nice smells. It's better to not keep taking it off too quickly as that would probably irritate your skin a bit.

    • @vSpiikey
      @vSpiikey 3 года назад +6

      @@lincabe321 Yep, it's super tight on the head. If you get a crease on it though (which I have) it's quite annoying, although it's not the end of the world. But you're usually stuck with that crease once that happens. I'm still wearing the same system since July last year (it's now May). I don't think that's very normal though. I've made this one last way longer than most since I look after it quite well.
      Also, the girls that are now attracted to me again this past year never would have went near me without this system btw. I'm back to being regarded as a handsome guy again and it's great. It's a superficial old world though.

      Make yourself a monster in the gym and your hair won't matter to you as much. If you find people who think you don't look good without hair, that is their problem, not yours. Going bald is caused by genetics, but improving things you have control over is what being a man is all about. Hope you are sticking with it.

    Women who lose their hair are almost expected to buy a hair replacement system, and people are supportive of it. They would tell her that her new hair makes her look beautiful. It's not usually socially acceptable for men to wear hair replacement systems. It's seen as a joke. Men are ridiculed for being bald or for wearing a hairpiece. It's a lose-lose situation. This video is progressive in a good way. This should be seen as a socially acceptable option for men with hair loss.

      I have hair, just a bad hairline.
      I shaved my head to try on one of these systems, it cost £500.
      I took it off after the first month, it damaged the hair follicles I already had under my head.
      The hair, on the top of my head, is much thinner now.
      Maybe this is good for those who are already bald, just note that most systems have horrible hairlines and you'll always have a color mismatch.

      @@Tata-iu3fy Hair follicles actually take in oxygen. Almost every hair system company says that their hair systems are breathable but that's simply not true. The glue (or tape) creates an entire wall between the follicles. It's not healthy.
      Honestly, I regret getting this done. It has damaged the hair I already have.
      The maintenance is also a nightmare.
      You have to take it off every 2 weeks to deep clean it and reapply glue/tape. These companies are taking advantage of men's insecurities.

      I was wearing a hair piece last year. It looks great but its honestly really annoying because it has to be taped/glued. Now im just wearing a wig & its way more breathable. @@diabeticvirus374 side effects are pretty rare. Even if you get any side effects continuing the treatment will reduce it. And if you're still afraid you can start with the smallest dose 0.25 mg which will give you least to none side effects.

    If you're bald, you doesn't need to cut everything, just fade the sides. Depending of how much do you have on top, leave it short or cut everything.
