Needed this! My son is 6months. I’ve done a couple of these positions already, this video is confirmation I’m doing good☺️😅 but the last one, to fully empty the breast was definitely a great idea I will try! Great vid
Is it ok if their head is turned ? My 8 month old hates if I support behind his butt and back for some reason so he basically wants to eat almost on his back with head turned toward the breast. I can’t do koala with him cause that cues him to bite for some reason ( he’s teething). I just know swallowing with my head turned as an adult is really uncomfortable so I’m surprised he doesn’t mind this. Also is it common with teething for them to start preferring one side ?
Thanks for sharing! I use the cradle hold and use my leg ( same side as the arm cradling) so I sit back and cross my legs like a figure 4 and that takes the pressure off my back and arms :)
My doctor in the hospital said that wherever their nose it pointing is where they are drawing/draining milk from. Don’t know if it’s true but that’s what she told me lol
I have 4 month old twins that I had to stop breastfeeding bc of weight issues. I am trying to work back to breastfeeding but I could really use help with twin feeding. Im getting blisters on my nipple and I don’t know what to do.
You are seriously a mind reader lol 😂 I have been trying to figure this out with my 6 month old for the last couple weeks lol she has gotten so big 😩 90 percentile for weight and height so she’s a big girl with a mommy trying to learn new tricks! Really weird but in the last week, she has been upset while latching only on one side during the cradle position which I’ve been doing since she was a month old
Hi Joy! So nice to hear from you. Way to go mama on growing that healthy girl :) I have actually heard of that happening when babies have ear infections (ear hurts in certain positions). Maybe check in with her pediatrician. Also, teething is probably just around the corner (if not started already)
I just literally had the same thing with my 7 month old Joy. Her previous “favorite” is now a struggle for me to get her to take a full feeding. She’ll latch, but within minutes is pushing off and wanting to sit up. Have an appt on Thursday at her doc for something unrelated, but going to have them check it out and see if that’s what’s causing the change.
@@virginiaarteaga7030 ugh I know the feeling! I had to start lying down with her in our bed for feedings and going specifically to the glider for feedings. It never got better. Her pediatrician said it’s not abnormal, especially given the awareness of distractions, even now at 13 months old

Yay!! Let me know how it works out for you ❤️ you are doing awesome 👏🏻
What about babies with sensitive reflux?
Thank you for the ideas 😊

What position could be used for a 5 month old long baby with low muscle tone and still no neck control.

Oh this is a great one too. I do this a lot these days
So helpful! I’ve noticed that after side lying feeds baby will often spit up ALOT. sometimes even in the middle of the feed. Any tips for this?
This is so helpful! Thank you 🙏🏽
You are so welcome

@@KassiReyes yes! Both of those things are on my radar!

Can I try this with 3 or 4 month baby ?
Yes! Let me know how it goes.
Most will work best once your baby has full head control
Perfect timing!!
Yay! I hope it helped 😀
My 6 month baby only eats from side lying 😢she is lazy and wants to just lie on her side I guess
