Hi Rachael 😊Beautiful greenhouse all plants are so beautiful but I can say there's lot of work for you but it's worth it in the end when you see so much blooms. Thank you for you're video I enjoyed them all so much and to be honest with you always waiting for new ones with anticipation.Have good day Rachael and plenty blooms.
Thank you, Jelena. The greenhouse is a lot of work but well worth the effort. Have a wonderful evening!

so so nice. You're living the dream :) I haven't had a break in the cloud cover in weeks, I enjoyed your sunny day greenhouse
A sunny day is a rare thing at this time of year so must be taken advantage of :)
Thanks for watching.
Your Cyclamen bloom is so beautiful.
Aren't cyclamen such rewarding plants at this time of year. I bought a second one recently. How could I refuse!
All your plants look awesome ! Thanks for letting us enter in your beautiful greenhouse. I desperately looked for a place for me on one of the shells or even on the floor but there wasn't enough space. I would love to live there and wouldn't even mind the cold temperatures. 😉
It's such a nice place to be.
Take care Rachel and keep warm until Springtime we are all desperately waiting for ...
Come in summer, Bettina, and there will be plenty of room for you at the little table where we can have tea :)
Thanks for watching.
Gardening at Douentza 👩🏻🌾😊 Who wouldn't be happy to have a nice cup of tea with you in your garden ? Thank you Rachel .
Have a nice day 🌞🦋
So many plants and beautiful Rachael. Beautiful Great greenhouse, at citruses is recommended 10C in winter, and are great Limon tree, and orange. I love Banana plant at minute 14:34. Happy growing.
Hi Gicu and thank you for your comments. I've grown oranges at 5 degrees winter minimum for several years now. I guess it depends what your aim is. If you want the plant to continue growing then it needs higher temperatures. If you want it to just keep ticking over then 5 degrees works.
Hope your Orbea Variegata flowers for you soon, that will be great to see and I won't have to smell it! So nice to have room for all those large plants outside and still have a great collection of Orchids inside.
Thank you for your good wishes and, yes, I am lucky to have so much plant space and a tolerant husband :)
Hi. Yes Douentza, I mentioned about the said purple flower. Thanks for reply. Zz from Canada 🇨🇦.
great tour of the greenhouse, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching.
Your aeoniums are gorgeous! I hope mine look like yours one day.
I'm sure they will :)
i like you're green house i see many plants in bloom
Thank you. We will have to visit again in a week or so :)
i'll wait for your next video
Lovely tour! I saw some I'm going to have to add to my wish list. Maybe I'll try another Cyclamen. I've never had very good luck with them. You have several very interesting plants. I like the stinky flowering plants too. :)
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. Stinky flowers are the best :) :)
I have been binge-watching your channel for days.
I live in the US, and I had a little trouble wrapping my head around Ireland's milder winters. I don't know why I expected the same horizontal snow. I love your bubble wrap, though.
I am very happy that my channel has kept you entertained for so long :)
Yes, we have a milder climate in Ireland because of the gulf stream. We almost get away with a whole load of exotics here except that our constant rain rots!
Oh my. What's that plant with the pair of bunnies on it? It's majestic!
Hi Rachel, nice greenhouse, by the way, my Senecio articulatus it's in flower now and is one of those stinky flowers. Happy growing
I just googled those flowers. They are not very flamboyant but I'm sure they bring you much happiness. Thanks for watching.
Great Video ,Rachel.
Greetings from Germany!
Thanks for watching and happy growing!
The little Cyclamen is just lovely! In December I wanted to buy one as a gift, but they weren't as nice as yours. I didn't end up buying one, because when I looked at them closely I found some kind of mold (maybe Botrytis cinerea) at the base of the stems. It looked like the mold that I had on a Primula last year. I hope my three Primulas will survive. I covered them with twigs. Thanks for the sunny greenhouse tour. :)
Cyclamen are so nice. I bought another one on Saturday. You do right to look out for problems before you buy though. I hope your primroses come through. They are fine in Ireland but we have different climates.
I still remember my first Tibouchina which was imported from a Florida nursery to my home at the time in New York. I was 19, or so. It was about the same size as yours. I remember it grew foliage vigorously all during that hot, humid summer. Then it burst into bloom in early September, covering itself in its purple velvet petals. Thus began a lifelong love affair.
How wonderful that your interest in horticulture extends back so far. I hear you fondness for the tibouchina and share that sentiment completely. It is a wonderful plant. May the coming year bring forth many new plant delights!
Wonderful greenhouse tour! It's during these dark days of winter that I really appreciate seeing a greenhouse like yours. I looked but don't see any videos where you feature the aeoniums that I see in this video.( Don't know for sure, but that's what I think I'm seeing) I would love to know more about your large collection and on how you grow them.
Also, I adored the video you made at Lyn's place. Looked like such great fun!...Many thanks.
Yes, winter is so very long and my greenhouse and house plants do help to keep me going.
Let's see, aeonium videos...
You could have a look at the following...

Thank you
your coel. cristata is fabulous.
wish we were in the same area so we could trade.
oh well, have to wait for you t travel here to a show.
That would be great. You should move to Ireland :)
your lemon tree needs chelated iron. Mine grows in the ground, and cold doesn't do that, but lack of iron yellows leaves does.
Your green house is wonderful.
great video.
Okay, thank you, Glanda.
Because I would love to have one of your plants! 😬
I am sorry :(
Thanks for a great update! think I saw another baby lemon at 2:22 :).
I think you're right, Trac. Happy growing!
nice video
Certainly enjoyed the tour. Wish I could afford to heat my greenhouse ine in the winter but live in Montana in the US. The last few days the high temps during the day have been below 0* F. Dreaming of spring now that I've seen the lovely green foliage and flowers. Thanks for sharing.
We are lucky in Ireland that the gulf stream provides us with a much milder climate than our latitude would suggest. But I am with on wishing for spring :)
I might have to have some 'cristata lessons' as mine don't seem to do so well? They started off as a massive dying plant in a washing-up bowl - no drainage and in a very poor state. I do have new growths but no blooms so far. It's the variety 'lemoniana'. Also, if we ever sort out 'the pots' (this Saturday I believe?) I would love some Den. keikis tucked in the box - keikis of a named Den would be most welcome. As for the main plant, they need a lot of water and feed in the growing season especially if the temps are up - that may be why the canes didn't stay 'pumped up'? - just a thought.
Hi Roger. I will put some den keikis aside for you. By the way my Den pierardii is also making small keikis so if one is big enough to remove when I post to you, you can have it. Yes, this Saturday for Johnstown. I am looking forward to it lots.
The parent den is a very old one of mine (I've had it 8 years) and has flowered reliably every year. It's funny that it chooses now to be dissatisfied with how I treat it when it has managed so well up until now.
thank you. for the video
Thank you for watching.
Hi. Douentza, What is the name of beautiful purple flower? Next to that plant there is a pot with pebbles which plant is growing in that pot. You are showing us nice video. Thanks 🙏 Regards. Zz.
Do you mean the tibouchina? I have all the plant names listed, in order of video appearance, in the video details. So if it isn't tibouchina, take a look there! I nearly always list my plants in this way to make them easier to identify but on the earlier videos the listing might not be there.
Great video, I wish mine was as big...and had as many plants in it! I would love a keiki... I could swap you for some Arisaema proboscideum or some Blechnum chilense fern-lets?
Hi Chris. Are you in EU?. If you are in the EU I am happy to send you a keiki but, unfortunately, I forget to mention that I can't send outside. Could you send me your postal adress by private message please. If you find my 'about' tab you should see how to message me.
PS Your greenhouse looks amazing from the pic on your banner photo.
Gardening at Douentza Hi, I'm in Co. Limerick! Thanks a million, I'll send a message with address and such :-)
at 13;16 the one that never flowers with stinky flowers, would like the name spelled out, please, its a weed here in P.V.
I would put it outside the minute the temps get to 40-50 degrees Far.
I grow it directly in the ground, so unpot it, and put it in a place with full sun, plenty of water, oh and mound the soil under it a little, for some reason it flowers better that way, and outside, there is no scent.
It looks really healthy so don't give it a thought.
best
Hi Glenda. The Orbea 'Variegata'? The plant names are all in the video details. Yes, it is a monster but no flowers yet.
Putting plants like that in the ground here doesn't work. They rot from the rain, even in summer. Maybe next year for flowers...
How cool is your greenhouse? I'm not seeing any heater - do you heat it ?
Hello. My greenhouse is bubblewrapped and heated to a five degree minimum in winter (41F).
Just 2 days ago it was - 15 deg Celsius at 8 in the morning. Hence,, our greenhouses must be made out of tempered glass and heated with natural gas. I was wondering how you heat your Greenhouse?
Hi again, Michael. I the the greenhouse with electricity and have bubblewrapped it to reduce the cost. You might look at my November greenhouse video for a little more information.
Where are you?
Phalaenops orchids
Alan, currently I do not feed my phalaenopsis. Previously I used akerne rain mix at the recommended dose.
How much feed do you give to the orchids ?
Hello Alan. Which orchids do you mean?
Bummer 😝
Why?
How cold does it get in Ireland?
Hello Michael. Ireland has a mild climate because of the gulf stream. I enclose a link with more information. The greenhouse is kept at a five degree minimum in winter (41°F)
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_of_Ireland
What is that plant at 0:37 with the two black "mouselets" in front?
Hello Ella. That is boophone. Here's a link to a little video I made about that plant...
Thanks a lot!
Would love to have a baby plant. Do you mail to the USA!
I am very sorry, Sherry. I cannot post outside the EU.
