@DarkHorseSki what didn't you like about it? The weather is nice and the natural splendors are amongst the best in the world. But if you're just sitting in a cubicle in San Jose and paying taxes I guess its not that apealing.
@@benjamindover4337crazy addicts/homeless, crazy politics, and low trust communities. I grew up in the most tolerable, rural northern area of California and it is still worse than the state I am in now. But you're right, it's the best state for beauty. I visit to hike and see family.
@@benjamindover4337 Bay area weather is not particularly nicer than where I live now, in Michigan. And even with Detroit, there is far less garbage and grime in the way of seeing natural splendors here in Michigan than in California. Further, I don't have to worry about being bitten when I swim nor do I have to worry about being stuck in horrible traffic for hours or paying $6/gallon of gas just for the privilege of being stuck in traffic. Nor do I have annual worries about whether the electricity will be available, or whether my house will be caught in a fire, landslide or earthquake. And lastly, I can live in a 3100 square foot house, in a nice suburb, that I was able to buy even when my salary was less than 6 figures.
Thank you to Katherine for representing the progressive libertarians yet again. Stunning and Brave. I somehow was shocked by the Bay Area decision, which in retrospect was foolish of me.
Wow... I can't believe the masochism of the Reason staff who would CHOOSE to suffer through living in California.
Have you ever visited California?
@@benjamindover4337 Many times. I have even had the misfortune of working out there in the Bay area.

More dunking on Warren please. Nick’s “Professional Buttinsky” is an amazing line and should be going on a t shirt that reason sells
