I had lifting at the cuticle and one small chip on day 5, so I took them off. Painted them again because I love the color. Definitely easier to do when not filming.
Aaaand… took off the tip of one by accidentally jamming it into a bathroom stall’s lock 😂🤪 I patched up the tip but obviously it’s now no longer perfect!
Overall, I LOVE the fast drying and no nail yellowing. I only had a little time to do my nails this week and they were totally dry and ready to go after 5 minutes as promised.

Lucy, I just found you not long ago and love your channel and nail tutorials especially the gel nail stickers. You explain all the steps and materials you use so clearly. I just ordered the Ohora semi cured nail stickers and cannot wait to try them. I did try several colors of the Dazzle Dry but I did not care for it at all. Thank goodness I only purchased the mini kits. I had the same issues with the polish not distributing evenly no matter what color I tried and also needed 3 coats for complete coverage. The wear time was only about 4 days at the most for me. Thank you so much for reviewing this for us. Keep up the great work! Have a great day. 😊

I like dazzle dry but it won’t replace my stickers. I still prefer them - they last longer and look better, given my questionable painting skills :) good luck with ohora!

Thanks for video. I own lots of it. I love it. They have a video on your to apply it. You are supposed to do a thicker 2nd coat. Also they do discontinue colors at times fyi. Yes it dries fast and it's better to not try to fix it. Just go over with 2nd coat it normally does well to cover imperfections.

Oh cool! I'm allergic to gel and have been using dazzle dry for years. And only just this month tried Lit on your recommendation! I used the dazzle dry transform for stability and the dazzle dry top cop with the semi cure gel strips. It works like a charm for me! I've had it last for 4 weeks before C:
Edit to add: 1. I never buff my nails for dazzle dry and it works perfectly for me still. So next time you try it, don't buff it and see if it will be good for growing them unbuffed again.

    • @kbeautyhobbit
      @kbeautyhobbit  Месяц назад

I didn’t buff anything the second time and didn’t notice a difference.
When you use just dazzle dry without strips, how long does it last on you? I haven’t been able to get more than 5 days, which is frustrating.

@@kbeautyhobbit With regular dazzle dry, I got it to last 4 weeks as well. I typically change them at 3 weeks. Granted, like you said the free edge was worn-out but still looked good. But the same used to happen with gel polish for me. But anyways, I suspect a few things could be the reason for it not having longevity.
      1. You weren't capping your free edge properly, it really makes a difference! Cap the base coat, lacquer, and top coats!! This is probably the biggest thing.
      2. I'm not very hard on my hands. When washing dishes I'll wear gloves. But I've washed my hair the same day applying dazzle dry and it holds up just fine.
      3. Instead of waiting "until matte" I just set a timer for 5 minutes for base coats. 10 minutes for lacquer and top coats. The box says 5 minutes, but sometimes I'm a little too generous with the coats and the layers are thick. I've waited 5, and made a dent before. After that I said eff it and just wait 10, never had the issue again.
      4. The transform helps with longevity in my opinion. But it isn't necessarily. But it does make the nails have an even better "gel nail salon finish" look. It's also very pretty on its own! It looks like builder gel.
Side note. My top coat always yellows and dulls. I suspect it's because I use hand sanitizer and sunscreen often. The website said that breaks the bond a little. That's fine with me. Mostly because my undertone is warm, so golds and yellows work for my skin. 😂 However, I have just used acetone to gently remove some top coat without disturbing the color surprisingly easily. Then just added a new coat. I've only done it once or twice though. The dulling and yellowing is my only complaint about the top coats performance.
Sorry for the super long comment! I hope this helps ❤

@MochaxMatcha that’s impressive wear. I did cap the tips the second time but still had issues - not at the free edge but at the cuticle side. I had lifting and peeling a few days in. Not sure why.

I have used dazzle dry. On average it lasts about 1 week. Regular polish if I get lucky lasts on my nails 4 days max. Unfortunately my nails peel like crazy under this polish. Anna from the salon life has a very comprehensive video where she explains why for some of us dazzle dry is not a good choice. This polish adheres to the nail plate to well. The upper layers of my nails just can't handle it. If I wear dazzle dry two weeks, I have to take a break and grow out all the peeling. I hope this won't be the case for you. IMHO gel strips look and wear so much better and they don't damage my nails.

Oh yes I watched Anna’s videos! Love her channel so much.
I prefer strips as well. Less work and look better. But it was fun to try something new.

I wished it had worked for me because I really enjoyed the fast drying time

wow it looks so good! Loving your nail videos. I am so eager to try it, but live in the Netherlands and dazzle dry will not ship it here. Does any of you know if it is possible to ship to the netherlands? I could ask someone living in the US or Canada to ship it, when possible. Unfortunately there is nothing in europe similar to this brand and as i am allergic to gel that is not an option either.

I’ve seen James and Robert welsh mention they sometimes use services that order items in the USA then ship them to the UK. Perhaps something like that (but I have no personal experience and don’t know the names of the services)

This may seem like an odd question, but can you tell me if any of the components in the kit have that familiar chemical "nail polish" smell? You mentioned in this video that the base coat has no smell. What about the other components? I find that any polish that smells like that will cause my nail ends to detatch from the fingertips. Its painful, and takes a long time to grow out. Polishes like the water based kind that have no smell don't do that, but they don't even last 24 hours on me. I love your channel!

    • @kbeautyhobbit

I haven’t noticed a smell in any of the steps. I haven’t opened the revive but my guess is it probably doesn’t smell either
