Age of Steam Roundhouse: Tour Experience

If you haven't been to the Age of Steam and are thinking about making the trip I share a few insights into what to expect. It's worth the visit if you are a railroad fan for sure!

I’ve been on the Ferroequinologist tour in September 2022.
For me it was amazing, I grew up in the 1950’s during the last days of steam.
I was in an active roundhouse in around 1956.
I applaud Jerry and his team for what the have accomplished here.
Weather you like trains or not, you really should go see this facility.
This my friends is our history come alive.
For me, I love steam locomotives and this tour was a great treat.
I grew up wanting to be a steam locomotive engineer, but alas became an Industrial journeyman electrician instead, because steam was gone by the late 1950’s.

I went on one of the first tours here when they opened to the public, we had to sign a waiver saying we would not post any photos. I am so glad that it can be enjoyed by many people.
