Suggest in the future you place a warning tape a few inches or a foot above the electrical wire. A few dollars but well worth it. Conduit would have made the job better but direct burial cable works, until someone forgets it is there.
if the world ever goes to chit better hope you have a friend that is a farmer. when the power goes out the farmers will get by just fine!

I keep an aerial map of our place with all of the pipes and wires marked. Hopefully the next owner will find it.

I'm not sure. With a compact tractor, it will just stop before doing damage.
