Man whoever painted the Sherman and those US infantry did a spectacular job. Your hobby group has some seriously talented painters in it!
The allies havent won in how long? Sounds like they need some French Shermans
Sadly I'm about 2,000 miles away and so couldn't even think of making this. But I am going to be going to my first tournament that Jason the owner of Father and Son Gaming in February 10th. He has it at a 1,000 points general reinforced platoon, max 15 order dice, 1 MLR's 1 heavy howitzer and max of 2 flamethrowers be it infantry or vehicle. So turned in a Japanese list at 14 OD at 999 points. My main thing is taking a regular 1 st Lt with a heavy mortar and Spigot mortar and every start of the turn use snap to and so fire both at various targets in hope of landing a few and either pinning them down for good or eliminating enough to where the infantry can not go towards the objectives with any strength to keep it.
how did the event go??
@@scalehistoryslc819 I won 2 out of my 3 games but with very heavy casualties out of the 14 dice I started with I averaged about half being gone by the end of the game on each game. The one loss was brutal as I was against a UK force and before the 2nd turn started artillery came in by his forward observer, and rolled a 1 so miscalculation and move to the left 7 inches and then rolled for an 11 inch center point for the reach. So first 2 units my AT rifle and heavy mortar spotter nothing but a single pin then he had the reach for my heavy mortar rolled a 6 direct hit which anything but a 1 and gone, then my 1st Lt and another 6 gone, then the Spigot and yes another 6 gone. So it was just a matter of time until everything just ground my infantry down to nothing. What impressed me the most was my SS-Ki engineer vehicle it made it;s points back for the day by almost taking 400 points in kills. So paying only 115 points you can see that it swings well above it's weight for cost but with 4 flamethrowers and a front hull MMG it is a major threat to anything on the board other than fanatics.
Really hope the allies take it this year!
