3 cylinders are exceptional at scavenging those exhaust gasses out the back. Very efficient. One reason why straight 6's with turbos are so popular. 3+3 !

Legitimately one of the most unique engine sounds I've ever come across. Wild though. I can just imagine the roar it makes at 8000RPM.

@@conor7154 in a other video they said they revved it way higher on the engine dyno. It's just limited in the prototype car. And they focused mostly on the jesko which just entered production. The factory where the gemera will be made is being built right now. Looking at the situation i would even say they are ahead of plans.
@@conor7154 it's a groundbreaking engine. 600hp on E85 from 3 cylinders, 2 liter.
The Koenigsegg TFG is an Inline-3 engine. The TFG stands for "Tiny Friendly Giant." It is a Freevalve, thus it does not have a camshaft. Instead it uses pneumatic actuators that allows it to open each valve independently to maximise performance and minimise fuel consumption depending on driving conditions.
Bugatti makes the same shit every year and people eat it up. Koenigsegg spends years developing a groundbreaking new engine and you guys are going to bitch? It's Koenigsegg, they've got this. It's not the first time, not even close, they've made new technology. Hollow carbon fiber wheels, gearless direct drive transmission, 7 clutch transmission, variable turbos, triplex suspension... That's just off the top of my head. Name another automaker that is that innovative.
Christian is truly gifting us with phenomenal hypercars, all hail Koenigsegg!!
Sometimes it looks like he's the only one actually trying to get performance and smart design from cars. Sadly so few units are made of his cars.
Gemera in its drivetrain layout is REALLY special. I wish someone would buy the design and work to scale it to large numbers of cars, and use its components for non-hypercar stuff. This stuff should be possible to downtune. Same size bettery but with lower power output. Similar electric motors, just not as crazy powerful. The engine...let's not change a thing to that, just keep as is and find a way to mass produce it without too much compromise. A bit heavier wouldn't be a problem, even a bit less peak power would still make it well worth it in many applications. In an everyway big SUV, the tiny engine would make room for hybrid batteries that don't take up truck space. And it would save weight. And fuel. Imagine the weight saving having this engine in a Porsche Cayman or even 911. No problem to add some weight for a battery and electric motor on the front axle to end up with a wicked powerful track weapon.

I thought it sounded like a big single cylinder motorbike, then as the revs rose the sound was absolutely epic

love how this has what people are looking for. the market for sedans i feel like has gone up so this could be an amazing touch. The engine sound is surprising for how the car looks. Koenigsegg is such a unique car brand, and that makes it such a loveable brand.

I never forget this car. This car was my first video ever a year ago in Andermatt, Switzerland. Was unbelievable to see it there.
I've watched the video series in JWW channel, as a mechanical engineer myself, working in aircraft maintenance and manufacturing since almost 20 years, I can perfectly understand the enormous price these cars are sold at. The craftmanship, technology, research and innovation of this man's factory is out of scale.
I'm either impressed and fascinated.

@@diecastmods2359 lol dam...if you see the other video of this he mention that they still working on this sound and they can change the sound exhaust due to the free valve they using that can alter the sound because its not a normal solid cams... it will be interesting sound once more tuning and final production will be like.. but again who knows they can have different style sounds you want as it has a programmable cams

Amazing cars as usual and the Gemera is coming along nicely. I will say this though the music in the beginning of the video was super loud at first, might want to slowly work into it being loud in the future. Other than that awesome awesome stuff
