Yeah, well consider the fact that Christian Von Koenigsegg has developed new transmissions for practically every new car he has made. The direct drive Regera with basically no transmission, and a single gear which climbs in rev power all the way to a record speed. Then the 9 speed transmission that can go in between any gear effortlessly because it has multiple clutches for each speed, and on and on. The man and his team have invented more supercar technology than all the other major companies combined, and in a matter of a few years. Being AWD and so powerful, it would not take quite as much runway as other cars that do the 500 kph attempts. This makes the record setting that much more accessible. No need to strongarm NASA into giving you their airport for a day once in a while. No top speed is specified yet. Might they do an Attack and Absolut of these as well? As it would be a great one-car collection, I'd be interested to have it with the CC850's simulated manual 6spd gearbox. The direct drive was a real experience, a bit of a loss if I'd been a Gemera reservation holder, even if the new versions are overall just better and less cumbersome, especially for the 3-cyl that would have had a hard time in Direct Drive with high top speed and a battery to keep topped up, while never actually revving to high power much.

Okay. I have to admit. Koenigsegg really have proven themselves to be probably the greatest sports car company of all time. Just a couple weeks ago they beat the Rimac Nevera's 0-400-0 world record and reclaimed the title with the Regera... now we're getting the most powerful production car in the world and its a 4 seater. And we're just waiting on the Jesko's top speed test. Considering all Koenigsegg has been achieving recently, I don't have any more doubts of the Jesko Absolut breaking that top speed record. When I saw the 304mph/490kph run of the Bugatti Chiron SS 300+, that was amazing. When I saw the Rimac Nevera's 23 world records in a single day, and the 258mph/412kph run for fastest production electric car in the world, I thought that was insane. But damn Koenigsegg. What I really appreciate about Koenigsegg is how transparent they are with their innovations. I have been following the Gemera since launch and had been following Koenigsegg's evolution closely since the CCX days, so I was familiar with the acting principles of the Regera derived torque converter present in the early Gemera. When Christian opened with how the team had worked on integrating the "LST" into the car but ran into packaging issues, In that moment I was thinking about how one would tackle this problem. My first thought was exploiting the operating mechanism of the LST,(the many clutch system allows for unique packaging as no longer need all gears on one shaft) so when Christian said that they resolved this through this "Turbulone system" I had a wonderful "AHA!" moment where I understood what they did, something which could never have happened if Koenigsegg hadn't explained how the LST works in great detail with the release of the Jesko. I truly felt like I was being brought along the path of innovation with Koenigsegg and sharing their triumphs with them, like how one might feel when your football team won the championship; they were sharing the victory with us by allowing us to understand why each innovation was possible. It's for this reason that I can't bring myself to feel anything but fondness for them, because I'm so smitten for this collective of mad scientists I'm not even mad that I could never realistically own one. (Not that I won't be trying)

This is a big reason I appreciate Koenigsegg more than any other supercar maker, the founder actually goes into immense detail on how unique and ingenious the engineering is. Imagine Ferrari doing anything more than giving their systems a catchy name/acronym. It’s like Christian just wants other supercars to step their game up since nothing is close to the number of innovations Koenigsegg has created. They’re so far ahead that they’re practically instructing them on how to make the best hypercar and the mainstream cars haven’t adopted any of their tech (likely due to patents but I’d think they could make parts based on the same engineering principles). Koenigsegg seem to create 2-3 massive parts innovations with each new car they make!

Königsegg is basically the opposite of those "fake" hypercars noone will ever drive. All this while explaining every single detail on how they did it.
