  • With a family of 6, we can never have too much storage space. Watch as we build this new shed sent to us by MistMo. We decided to spend a little extra money to build a level, stone pad and a solid wood floor. Most of the wood used is pressure treated, but we still need to seal the plywood floors. This was my first time building something like this, but I had a lot of fun with the process. Although time consuming, everything was pretty easy. The instructions for the shed were solid and everything lined up almost perfect.

Must be nice to have all that help.
    lol
Everything I built is a solo job.
So take 3 times as long and little extra materials for making temporary hands and legs so I can work

To say I’m extremely grateful is an understatement. I’ve definitely had my share of solo projects, so this was a blessing. Had I not had the help, I probably wouldn’t have made this video.

Not suitable for wintery nations. Mine didn’t hold the weights of the snow.

is it this same exact shed? the roof of mine seems pretty sturdy. i'll update once we go through the winter season. we do tend to get quite a bit of snow here at times.

@@AMZFamilyFinds yes: almost exactly the same. It held the winter for two yrs but last winter we had like record high snow accumulation with bad meting and freezing temperatures to add up the weights.

gotcha. it doesn't normally get that bad where i live, but definitely something people should keep in mind before purchasing. for the price though, i still feel like its worth it if you aren't in an area with too crazy of weather.

@@AMZFamilyFinds definitely worth it. A local builder quoted me 7k euro for the same sized shed where i bought this from online for 500. Pity the roof didn’t hold but understandable. I started to reinforce the beams now.
If you search on RUclips, you find ppl add wood structure inside of this kind of shed to reinforce the strength especially the roof.

thats a great idea. i'm sure mine will be fine, but i may reinforce it anyway just in case. couldn't hurt.

Went through any hot/cold weather with it yet? How do temps hold up inside?

hot weather and rain. it's definitely hot in there, but so far not a drop of water from the rain. seems to seal really well, but i do still plan on caulking the bottom around the frame just to be sure.

Decent looking shed. How sturdy is it?

    • @AMZFamilyFinds
      @AMZFamilyFinds  Месяц назад +1

so far so good! i think i want to shoot some more screws around the base and seal it with some caulk, but this is a first build for me so i'm learning as i go. we had some heavy rain the other night with only a little water coming through between the shed and the floor in one spot by the door. Thats probably my fault though. i stood in it through a few minutes of the heavy rain and there was absolutely 0 leaks in the actual shed. i definitely need more time to see how it holds up, but I'm happy with it right now.

@@AMZFamilyFindscan it handle 70 mph gusts? Thinking about buying a shed. I live in AZ and sometimes then monsoon gusts hit hard

70mph is pretty strong. i think the strongest we've ever had here is like 80mph. I honestly couldn't tell you if this shed could handle that. Wish i could give you an answer, but i'm really not sure.
