I haven't seen this performance since I DVRD the parade four years ago. I'm watching it again because the show will be filmed LIVE on 9/11 at the Hollywood Pantages featuring some of the original Broadway cast members.
I might go see him in An American in Paris next month in Costa Mesa. I saw Ryan in Peter Pan Live where he played the Lost Boys alongside his fellow Newsies.
Ok, I'm gonna be honest and say that this is something I always dreamed and wished would happen ever since I fell in love with Newsies at age 15. SO glad all that wishing and dreaming paid off!

I was down in disney with my school (I'm in chours and we preformed along with the rest of our music department) and it was late so me and my friends took the train from the other side of the park (by Dumbo) and watched the electial parade and fireworks from the train station. I was humming this the whole time.
Almost wish they had a spider-cam set up for that number down Main Street with the extras. Would have been great to have the camera pull back from the castle, and end on Jack and the guys in front at the end.

This was the performance that made me wanna see the show. And I got to see it 3 days ago. Amazing cast,crew,music,and overall dancing. This show is perfection in itself.
My best friend was part of the original cast of Newsies on Broadway. He was mainly a background dancer, but he tells me many stories of his time doing the show. If I remember correctly, he was part of this performance. He even got the cast to give me an autograph for my birthday one year

I don't know why in the City Hall number the flagpole from Town Square is right next door to the City Hall area like is that the alternate place if the flagpole is not until Square or that's for that number only
Jess LeProtto and Alex freakin' Wong were both on So You Think You Can Dance. Alex would have won it, if he hadn't damaged his leg *twice*. So was Evan Kasprzak, but he wasn't in this.
It's mostly just about the logistics of a Broadway show vs a movie. With labor laws and such kids can't really do 8 shows a week. This works fine if you have one or two kids, you just double or triple cast them, but to do that with this many characters would be insane.
No I'm not, I'm talking about the guy who has the first one and then at 0:53 and then 1:28. I met Corey when I saw the show in October, it was awesome.

I'll say he was amazing. In fact as amazing as the show itself actually was. An American in Paris is no Newsies but it was simply spectacular.
I completely agree. An American in Paris is a beautiful show with (and I say this as a dancer) some gorgeous dancing, but nothing beats Newsies.

Jeremy jordon left the show in September of 2012 while this was filmed in December of 2012.Corey cott had already replaced him
I remember being in the spot at Disney World 5 years ago and I swear I almost wanted to break into the dance but it would be awesome!
