well i live in OB. beautiful weather, and the peninsula keeps us below 80 everyday. 15 minutes inland, of course it's gonna get hot. if you live on the beaches, the marine layer keeps you cool.

Any city has the problems that you've mentioned. But for a city with over 1.3 million people, I'd say San Diego does quite a good job at maintenance. If you want to talk about overcrowded beaches and bums, look at NY or LA! Plus San Diego is spread out and theres many isolated locations you can come to.
yea just went through for the bowl game on wednesday, short runway and tiny airport but i heard rumors of planning a new project.... by the way dont complain about being from the boondocks till you know what boondocks are... your an hour or two from a massive city with beautiful weather and a harbor... nearest large city to me is denver which is three and a half hours away, nearest town is 17 miles and has a population of 120 people

Wow, are you even from San Diego County? The summer months and Santa Annas not only frequently produce High 80s and 90s, but its also humid as fuck! Also, its over 80 almost everyday of the year if you live atleast 15 minutes inland.

On a tv programme here in the UK it was voted 10th worst airport to land at in the world due to volume of traffic comiing in and out of it and its location. I guess that means 9th worst now because Kai Tak was also on the list and that was closed.
You missed the priest in the back administering last rites to the Catholic passengers. I unfortunatly have to live 80 miles away in the boondocks. San Diego is the greatest city in America but they really need a better airport.

Dangerous approach ... a primary reason it's one of the safest airports in the country! Pilots can't sleep on approach.

good reverse thrust you can hear that in Point Loma just northwest from the airport. This is the most hardiest airport to land at.

VERY dangerous approach if you ask me -- the airport is too close to the downtown area. Flying into San Diego scares me.
