Great video Jo! I am almost 3 months into my leathercraft journey and you have been a major contributor to my skill development. You are also very inspiring. I bought the Maun Safety Rule because of you. I have had it a few weeks and it has been very helpful. Merry Christmas!
OLD LEATHER SMITH here. Great Job young lady, I believe it will help a lot of beginners, Tandy, Weaver, and Springfield leather R where 2 go 4 Tools in the USA. Please have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Safe New Year. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃
Thank you for this instruction session regarding the tools I have Ben doing the craft for a while however the items you listed are going to make my work much easier thank you much cheers
I will be starting out in the new year after years of upholstery and sewing it’s something I wanted to do and have decided I will. Thanks for the guide on the equipment.
Always nice to see a video from you Jo and a particularly handy one as I'm planning to do a review of my tools soon to see which I need to buy/upgrade. On the general purpose cutting tools I find the STANLEY® 110mm Folding Pocket Knife really handy. I use it for leather work and also as a marking knofe for woodworking.
I've just started my new hobby in making leather goods so this was a great video for me. Cool to hear A&A Crack & Sons get a mention too btw as my dad works there! Also very handle to get my leather of course...
@@JHLeather can I ask another question please? What is that plastic board called that you place the leather on and smash the stitching chisel into please? If you know what I mean!
I have a series called 'Tool Time' where I talk about different tools and in them, there are sharpening techniques ruclips.net/video/zkEXU-RYrjg/видео.html 👍
This is a really helpful video Jo. Looking at expanding my tool set. Also I’m wanting to make wallets. I am struggling to find somewhere to buy the leather I need. Any suggestions?
