I mean, people don’t even got the PS5. We haven’t even took full advantage of its capabilities because they keep making games that can run off the ps4 too… I just think it should be a long time before we even talk about a ps6
While there are games still being made for the PS4, most games from bigger publishers are being made for current gen only. EA even made college football current gen only despite it probably being able to run on last gen consoles. Sony themselves haven't put out a 1st party game or published one that was on PS4 since GOW Ragnarok. I highly doubt any of their 1st party is working on games for the PS4.
@AnonymousC2218 That does not make any sense when there are current gen only games. That was the case even at the beginning of the generation. Returnal and R&C Rift Apart came out less than a year after the PS5 came out, and they are PS5 only games.
With games having CPU bottlenecks on PS5. They are definitely taking full advantage of the PS5. Developers just become better at making games after working on the one system for years. They figure out it's strengths and weaknesses.
@@AnonymousC2218 Really? That’s pretty wild. I do wonder what Nintendo is going to do. They’ve always thought outside of the box to stay current. And, I think it’s safe to say Microsoft is done. I don’t know if Steam will continue, but I will say I love my Steamdeck.
Couldn’t it just be one PS6 is all digital and the other with a disc drive just like this generation? I think Sony was testing the waters with the latest Pro model not coming with a disc drive out of the box. With all the backlash, I don’t think they can afford to go 100% disc-less. I’m still waiting for a Black Myth: Wukong disc and will not buy it digitally.
There is a difference between SoC (System on Chip) and SKU (Stock Knowledge Unit).SoC would encompass two different hardware specifications similar to Xbox series X and S.SKU would refer to system configurations such as PS5 digital and PS5 optical drive configurations.
If we based ourselves from all previous Pro models. It's highly unlikely that it will. Because Sony will have RAM parity between both consoles, for better or for worse, so when developers make games for one console, there's enough RAM to read all that coding, polygons, etc. If Xbox had put 16Gb of Ram in the Series S, despite the lower GPU, they would not have this many issues of games unable to run on it.

I think if the rumours are correct,Sony will re-enter the handheld space with the PS6.That is where the differentiation of the SoC (System on Chip) will come into play. There will be the home console PS6 with an optional optical drive and then the handheld version without a disc drive.I could see the display on the handheld ranging from 1080p at 120Hz to 1440p at 120Hz.There is no need to have a small display at 2160p aka 4K resolution since the pixel density is already very high at 1080p and 1440p on a 7 inch display. The thermal envelope and battery lifespan are other important metrics that must be considered in the handheld system design.
We need an 8” PS6 handheld to play natively PS4-PS6 games at 1080p and extra CPU/GPU dock to play 4k games on a big TV. And maybe PSP 3 to play natively PS1-PS5 games and stream PS6 games from a cloud.

There's merit to the 2 models of PS6 rumour at least. PS6 is gonna cost at least $900+ at launch so having a disc drive-less version at the very least for a more affordable price would be a good move
We knew already SH2 Remake was a timed exclusive. I'd still say the best way to play it is on PS5/PC, though, because of the Dualsense features. I wonder if Sony helped in making the game. Konami didn't have 100% faith it was wanted by people. So Konami had Sony help fund the game.

Interesting that XBox might release its next offer in 2026 - didnt they do that in the 360 era, and Sony who went later struggled to catch up. It would be good if Microsoft did, as it will at least keep Sony on their toes - as Sony are not great when they think they have no competition. Silent Hill timed release to other platforms - no idea why people are upset - Starfield is unique to Xbox, and I am sure that one of the Tomb Raiders was locked to XBox for over a year before they released a PS version. I would have loved to play Starfield, but I would never buy a gaming PC or XBox to do so - and given how many people now say its not that good - suggests my wait and see approach works.
I expect that there will be cross generation titles for majority of the PlayStation 6 lifestyle. I won't be getting a PS6 early on, I will be sticking with the PS5 for a while. I hope Team Asobi works ok something different now, and take a break from Astrobot for a bit. They could work on a non-VR Moss game, or revive Ape Escape, among other things, like Gravity Rush. I hope Atlus announces on a UE 5 Persona 1 or 2 remake for the PS5. A Persona 1 remake would be awesome to see, as it's very different to the modern Persona games.
There’s not going to be 3 skus. I doubt there will even be a “pro” model at launch as rumors of that same kind of thing swirled before the PS5 launch and Sony didn’t do it. The reality is that API development takes time and customized hardware to suit API developments have to wait. Aside from that in both cases of the PS4 Pro and PS5 Pro Sony relied on customer data gleaned from the current generation to contribute to the development of the Pro model. What does make sense is the rumor that there’s a PS4 level stand alone mobile device that’s modular and allows the screen to be removed and used in a PSVR3…making the PSVR3 a little bit less expensive by itself which Sony already knows will incentivize more people to buy into VR on PlayStation.
I really hope they launch the Pro at the outset of the generation. I prefer that to a mid-gen power bump. Just make it the weaker system clearly and definitively stronger than the previous generation and build a pro that is clearly stronger than that.
I wish they put out a premium version that was double the price 1400 and had a massive boost in graphics similar to PC. I'm tired of PC cheaters. They took over the games we love, but I want to play a console at 240hz and crystal clear graphics 1440p. This would be massive leap for competitive gaming. Overclock the PS5 controller to make it much snappier like on PC.

Their CFO Hiroki Totoki came right out and said that they didn't have enough original ip.
I have a launch PS5 & I've been playstation since day 1. The ps5 pro in the classic colorway looks so tough, and i would love to get it, but until sony stop with this re remaster shit, recycling 3 year old games on a loop, and actually give ps fans what they want, i think im gonna sit this one out. If they start to turn things around then i might consider getting a pro in a year or so, maybe get a 6 in a few years time, if they change the software & services situation. If not then i think im done with it. Time to build that PC
3 ways the PS6 can fail next gen - 1. Doing 2 versions of the PS6(like Microsoft's does with the Xbox S & X) 2. Doing a Gamepass like service(like Microsoft does) 3. Doing PS to PC ports day 1(like Microsoft does) = The 3 ways to FAIL :D
Not really, I heard this rumor a while back of Sony supposedly working on a ps vita 2 or something regarding a handheld for PS6 with backwards compatibility in mind. The Xbox handheld rumors came in afterwards right before Xboxes recent showcase. I own both so no fanboying here 👍🏻
I don’t think the s held back anything.i think the companies that make games didn’t want to adapt there games to the s because of money. They wouldn’t make as much money on both
XBOX chose to spend their $80+ billions on buying publishers, Sony chose to spend theirs on getting exclusives for their platforms, they are just spending their money differently.
That is the problem... sony will have to make the game for those handheld separately, MS/Xbox doesnt need it they just need to port Windows style operation system to Handheld will allow to install Gamepass and Steam and will not need to make it every time 2 game or studio have to make 2 games... that why in order separately handheld you need more games and those 3rd exclusives will be more expensive to port to Sony Handheld but MS already have Publishers to do that they dont need to spend more money on that... Sony need to stop spending money on getting exclusives for their platforms and start working on 1st part making game for them
tbh im not even sure on another console mainly becuase this gen has been pretty bad for both microsoft and sony. And we have had more remakes and remaster than original ideas from sony and when these remakes and remasters costing 50+(whatever currency) it leaves a bad taste and sonys choices on there choosing of remakes&remasters ar so poor
@@AnonymousC2218 i know microsoft is doing bad and there banking on cod to carry them but im talking about sony here about the lack of creativity but i think the problem with sony is how they ar always trying to do big AAA gamed all the time when they need some AA games thrown into the mix.Like i enjoy the ps5 still but its NOT for 1st party thats for sure and imo there is so many dead IPs they can bring back but NO here is HZD remaster and until dawn both games that didnt even need remastering.Like give us a ps1 or 2 game remake or dare i say bloodborne wich the PC emulation of bloodborne is almost here. And im not saying sony is bad but they have done some dumb choices within the past year or 2
Surely they won’t release an inferior model like the series s, Microsoft have already made that mistake, would they be releasing a pro model at launch ?
Of course they’re going to have 2 models . PS6 is going to be really expensive. It’s going to need a minimum of 32 gigs of ram. I could be wrong but I expect probably we’re going to see a $600 version and a $500 version. What they’ll probably do with the disc drive it’s just continue to use the same version they’re already selling for the slim and pro . That’s probably the easiest solution for the people who still want physical media . I don’t think we see PS6 before 2028 and maybe it launch is late 2028 or 2029 .
@@TheSparkynuts They do currently have a handheld in development. It’s not confirmed, but I do believe they’re making it. Moore’s law is dead has been reporting on that . He has a really good track record . He had the scoop on the pro a year before it launched . They might do that but either way both versions are going to need 32 gigs of ram . I think if they wait till 2028 or later to launch, they could probably hit a $500 and $600 console . The price difference could be a 1 tb hard drive and 2 tb hard drive. I fully expect discs drives to be sold separately.
Nah I dont think Sony goes this way. I think Sony goes with a standard console & then also a new console/PC Hybrid. I think thats where Sony is gonna reset the next gen consoles. And if Sony does do a console/PC hybrid; get a feature that hasnt been out yet & put it on the console & PC. Your giving people the best of both console & PC, plus you are giving them a new feature, no other PC's have yet. Sony would win the next gen console @ launch a console/PC hybrid

PlayStation and I had a good run. With the way things are going. I'm just going to go PC and SteamDeck from now on. I won't have to worry about backwards compatibility. I wish Sony well and will still buy the games I like on PC.
If you want to know what Sony is going to do, just watch Microsoft. Apparently Sony hasn't quite mastered the "being profitable" part yet. Not concerned about Silent Hill it's just another remake in a sea of remakes and remasters that are cheaper to make. It's almost as if Sony is running out of money.
@@unicorntomboy9736 See but that is the problem until when the remakes will stop and new game will come? Selling a 700$ to play only remake isnt a good look specially for investor... Until today Diablo IV has generated more than a billion dollars in revenue since its release, including approximately 150 million dollars from in-game microtransactions that is enough for MS sell they next console at 599$ and the handheld 299$

I think having the Ps6 Pro available at launch would be a great idea. More games and more time to use the higher end hardware.
There gonna make a more powerful and more expensive playstation pro right off the bat
So pretty much Sony is copying Microsoft.
Not really, I heard this rumor a while back of Sony supposedly working on a ps vita 2 or something regarding a handheld for PS6 with backwards compatibility in mind. The Xbox handheld rumors came in afterwards right before Xboxes recent showcase. I own both so no fanboying here 👍🏻
They both copying nintendo tbh
Maybe a ps5 and ps5 pro situation one with a bigger gpu but same cpu and ram
Probably digital and disk model. One with a 1TB SSD, the other with a 2TB SSD.
I called it. Pro and base model released same time
I'm hoping for a handheld cuz the Series S hurt next gen gaming as a whole and I don't want that to happen again next gen.
I don’t think the s held back anything.i think the companies that make games didn’t want to adapt there games to the s because of money. They wouldn’t make as much money on both
Sony once again copying ideas from Microsoft. Typical.
Sony need to stop spending money on getting exclusives for their platforms and start working on 1st part making game for them
So, it is not going to Xbox? It says “console exclusive” so it's not, right?
tbh im not even sure on another console mainly becuase this gen has been pretty bad for both microsoft and sony. And we have had more remakes and remaster than original ideas from sony and when these remakes and remasters costing 50+(whatever currency) it leaves a bad taste and sonys choices on there choosing of remakes&remasters ar so poor
Speak for yourself. I’m loving the PS5!!!
Cool and do you have a paragraph for how poorly Microsoft is doing, too?
Yeah! I have so much to play. Look outside of first party.
And im not saying sony is bad but they have done some dumb choices within the past year or 2
Xbox is actually profitable. I can see why you wouldn't want to admit that because then you have to look at Sony in a very different why.
Bluepoint's next game is days gone 2!
Stop trying to make handhelds a thing, they are niche, get over it.
Surely they won’t release an inferior model like the series s, Microsoft have already made that mistake, would they be releasing a pro model at launch ?
Disc and digital editions again I bet
Of course they’re going to have 2 models . PS6 is going to be really expensive. It’s going to need a minimum of 32 gigs of ram. I could be wrong but I expect probably we’re going to see a $600 version and a $500 version. What they’ll probably do with the disc drive it’s just continue to use the same version they’re already selling for the slim and pro . That’s probably the easiest solution for the people who still want physical media . I don’t think we see PS6 before 2028 and maybe it launch is late 2028 or 2029 .
There will be a 700-800 dollar version no doubt but they may have a lower spec version like a series s or a handheld
As long as they keep giving us the option for physical games I’m happy.
Nope 1 and anew handled
@@TheSparkynuts I hope they don't go the lower spec route. It's going to end badly.
No disc drive for ps6 gaming will go down hill and hard and fast
Nah I dont think Sony goes this way. I think Sony goes with a standard console & then also a new console/PC Hybrid. I think thats where Sony is gonna reset the next gen consoles. And if Sony does do a console/PC hybrid; get a feature that hasnt been out yet & put it on the console & PC. Your giving people the best of both console & PC, plus you are giving them a new feature, no other PC's have yet. Sony would win the next gen console @ launch a console/PC hybrid
I dont care if the PS6 is gonna cost 1000$ i got enough time to start saving from now 😆
People reacting negatively on Twitter to Playstation doing something is a positive. that means Playstation is doing something right because Xbox users hate when Playstation succeeds
I lower and lower my expectations towards Sonys announcements and shows, yet i still myself disapointed.
PS media game terrible imo.
Rumors are getting old and tired, just wait, tired of all this guessing, we have the portal don't need a handheld, and they better not do a 2 sku cause if handheld is lowest platform then we going to have s potato all gen again, portal is the way to go and we can play a next gen with actual next gen power not being held back like this gen
Xbots have to stop crying lololol
Xbox 5 vs PS6.
i wouldn't be surprised if they do release a lower-end console, likely to try and get people on series S to come over.
Easy don't buy the pro and Sony will do better for ps6
Sony need to release the pro versions of consoles the same day of standards one . Even if the console cost 700$ at least you'l have the choice to buy the normal one .
OR could just be discless & w/disc drive...WHICH IS WHAT THEY'RE ALREADY DOING. Either way both will be overpriced & underpowered.
So when did Dana Carvey start working for Sony ?
My guy
Hah, ‘at least’
good ideal xbox should have bought exclusive content
PlayStation and I had a good run. With the way things are going. I'm just going to go PC and SteamDeck from now on. I won't have to worry about backwards compatibility. I wish Sony well and will still buy the games I like on PC.
If you want to know what Sony is going to do, just watch Microsoft. Apparently Sony hasn't quite mastered the "being profitable" part yet. Not concerned about Silent Hill it's just another remake in a sea of remakes and remasters that are cheaper to make. It's almost as if Sony is running out of money.
Nothing wrong with remakes, especially if they are good. Persona 3 Reload is one of my favorite games of this year
@@unicorntomboy9736 See but that is the problem until when the remakes will stop and new game will come? Selling a 700$ to play only remake isnt a good look specially for investor... I hate both MS and Sony as company but MS have something that Sony didnt learn until Today, MS play to secure all the money not just some money because most people still forget MS onw those live service Minecraft, Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Call of Duty: Warzone, World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch 2, Diablo IV, The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 76, Halo Infinite. Until today Diablo IV has generated more than a billion dollars in revenue since its release, including approximately 150 million dollars from in-game microtransactions that is enough for MS sell they next console at 599$ and the handheld 299$
Why Sony should copying the losers tactics Xbox is yet to make a profit from Activision and investors are pushing on Sarah barn and Phil Spencer it's funny how Sony is broke but yet Xbox fanboys say Sony makes all the exclusive deals and outstanding Microsoft in every marketing way
I want new games sony not remakes
So basically Sony is going to kill their own brand. Well gaming was fun well it lasted this will be my last generation of consoles I guess. luckily GTA7 has another 15 years before it comes out no reason to game anymore. thanks for the memories Sony R.I.P PlayStation. 😂
PS6!? SERIOUSLY A PS6!? Not only is the PS5 Pro not out yet but the base PS5 STILL hasn’t even had proper games that take full advantage of the system made for it. Its been 4 fuggin YEARS and we get shyt like Concord, Horizon Lego, Horizon Remaster, Until Dawn Remaster, Days Gone Remaster, Last Of Us 1 AND 2 Remake/Remaster, Demon Souls Remake and games like Horizon 2, Miles Morales, Ragnarok, Turismo 7 that are basically shiny PS4 games. This gen is so fuggin TRASH! I could give a damn about the next gen consoles. Just gonna be a bunch of hype and broken promises and Remakes/Remasters of PS5 games. Smh 🤦🏽♂️

Silent hill 2 sucks 😂
Don't worry xbots, Silent Hill 2 is going to be not that great. Bloober Team made it for the non-existent "modern audience." So uglified women and progressive agenda. They used a DEI consiltant group so it's not gonna be good. They made way too many significant bad changes imo. Hard pass for me I'll play Until Dawn remaster instead!
It's cool see actually have games to play instead of an endless stream of remakes
@@CultureWorrier100 Don't get kooky bud, there are plently of original great games to play on Playstation, like Stellar Blade, Black Myth Wukong, Helldivers 2 and Astrobot. And there aren't a ton of remakes and remasters on xbox, because very few games in their history are worth remaking or remastering! What are they gonna remake Crackdown 3?! Lol!
Just delete my comments RUclips, you're so great 👍. Let's see the future of this behaviour!
